Holly giggled when he whispered in her ear, "You may have some." She said as she offered him some more. She ate a few more pieces and leaned against him. Holly felt the pings of electricity again, but tried to ignore it. She ate the popcorn as she focused on the tv.

Taven walked out of the school, lighting a cigarette. "Where you wanna go?" He asked after he exhaled the smoke. He went to his car with her, getting in and winding down the window. He pulled out of the parking lot and smiled.

Ares wrapped an arm around her shoulders. He looked down at her and then averted his eyes to the television. He had been shocked to that he enjoyed this energy so much.

"Anywhere is fine," she replied in the passenger seat. She watched him take a drag on the cigarette. She had never understood why people smoked, but she was never really bothered by it.

Holly watched as the movie ended then took te empty bowl to his kitchen. Holly looked at him sitting in the living room and walked back in. She plopped down on the couch and smiled. She looked over at Ares and smiled.

Taven sighed, "Alright how about we got get something to eat?" He suggested. He drove to one of the diners and walked inside with her. Taven smiled as he put his cigarette out, then walked inside with her. He thought that she was beautiful and he felt lucky to have her with him.

Ares smiled over at. "Feeling better?" he asked. "Or do I need to find another movie to watch? Although if we want new movie we are gonna have to go to the store." He patted her knee gently. He could only imagine what he his brother would say if he say this.

Kenzie walked in with Taven into the diner. She could feel his eyes on her and she blushed slightly. She was curious about what he was thinking and she could smell the food in the air. It was almost like it was fresh as she sat down in a booth.

Holly smiled, "We can watch whatever you have here. It's not a big deal." She said as she stood up. She grabbed one of the horror movies, looking at him. She put the movie in then sat down next to him again. She relaxed against him and smiled.

Taven looked at the menu then glanced at her. "So see anything you like?" He asked after a bit. Taven looked back at the menu as he leaned back against the booth.

Ares looked at her. "I was saving some of the horror movies for your birthday, and some we have seen already," he pointed out. "But if I get more alone time with you, I don't mind." He didn't really care how that sounded. He had been friends with her for so long that he was surprised that he hadn't said anything. About the way he liked her.

Kenzie looked at the menu and nodded. She pointed out at one of the sandwiches they offered. She didn't really care what she had. She wasn't picky most of the time. She did like her coffee a certain way though or she wouldn't drink it.

Holly looked at him and smiled, "Well you get to spend all weekend with me." She said as she looked at the tv. She looked over as his brother came in and sat down. She bit her bottom lip lightly as the guys bickered like always. Holly was a littl surprised by how mean Ares was being though.

Taven watche as the waitress walked away then looked at her. "Today has been a weird day." He said as he took a sip of his water. Taven placed his hands on the table as he looked at her.

Ares stared at his brother Mitchell when he said something smart. "You're an ass," I said through clenched teeth, trying to hold back his anger. His anger had been rising more so now that his brother was here who only liked to add to it. Ares had tried to not let it show, but here lately his anger just kept getting worse.

"At least, I don't chicken out of telling someone how much you love," Mitch replied with a mocking grin and his eyes darted towards Holly.

"It has," Kenzie agreed. "I don't know what's up with it." She looked at her hands suddenly nervous. She didn't even know why. She felt different under his eyes, and she kind of liked it. It was almost like she actually existed instead of like a doormat to someone.

Holly bit her bottom lip lightly as they argued, "Why don't we go to your room." She interrupted before Ares could respond. She stop up looking down at him, "Come on." She whispered. Holly walked up to his room with him, shutting the door. "I don't see why you argue with him." She muttered. She looked at Ares then walked over and sat on his bed. She was glad it was Friday and she could stay with him. She laid back on his bed, "we can just watch a few movies in here." She said, grinning at him.

Taven looked up as their food came. He looked at his sandwhich, then took a bite of it. He glared at the guy across the room as he got pissy with the waitress. Taven went back to eating his food then looked up as the lady with the man screamed. Taven coughed when he saw the blood coming from the guys eyes and mouth.

Ares nodded, looking at Holly. "Hold on. I got you something," he said. He went over to his closet and pulled out a small box. He had gotten a necklace that he knew she would like. He laid down next her and handed the box over to her. "I hope you like it," he muttered.

Kenzie looked at Taven after seeing what the man was screaming about. She didn't want to seem rude to immediately assume that it was him. "Hey, focus on me," she muttered, not knowing why that would work or even if it would work.

Holly looked at him, opening the box. She smiled when she saw the necklace inside. "Ares it's beautiful." She said as she took it out of the box. "Thank you." She said as she hugged him. She kissed his cheek and smiled as she put it on. She looked at him, "I love it." She said.

Taven looked at her, not being able to relax. He felt the rage moving through his body as he held his fork in his hand. He felt it bend then dropped it. He rubbed the back of his neck, trying to relax.

Ares smiled. "I'm glad you like it," he said. "I saw it and thought of you." He loved how it hung around her neck. He could still feel her lips on his cheek which he thought was amazing. "So let's begin with the horror movie marathon."

Kenzie could see that he was still tense. She reached out and grabbed his hand. "It's alright. You're fine," she said gently. She held his hand tight enough for him to feel it.

Holly nodded, "Okay." She said as she got comfortable in his bed. She leane against him as the movie started. "Which one are we watching?" She asked. She looked over at him and then looked back at the tv.

Taven looked at her, "I'm doing that." He whispered to her. He knew now that it was him.
He looked at the table as e gripped her hand tightly.

Ares shrugged his shoulders. "The first one I put in," he replied. It was weird when he realized he was passed off anymore. The anger had dropped away completely when he was away from everyone but Holly. Usually he would still be a bit on edge, and he had realized that there was much more anger in Mitch from the conversation.

Kenzie smiled at him, trying to keep him relaxed. The food seemed on our plates started to look fresher than when they got them. It even smells better. She didn't jerked her hand away but it was weird. "Did our food just get fresher?" She mumbled.

Holly rested her head on his shoulder as they watched the movie. After the third movie she yawned and got up. She changed into we pajama shorts she had kept at Ares's house. She looked at him then climbed into his bed. "I'm so tired." She whispered. She fell asleep with him and let him be close. She snuggled up to him as she slept. Hollys dream drifted to a world of war and death. She walked across the battle field searching for something. Holly looked up seeing a man on top of a pedi stool. She pulled her hood down, revealing her identity and when the man turned she saw Ares. In his dream holly was wearing a pair of black shorts with a black crop top, combat boots and the black cloak. When she pulled her cloak down her eyes were dark and her personality seemed more depressed. Holly slept silently through her dream only stirring slightly.

Taven looked at her, "I think so." He whispered. He paid the bill, "We need to get out of here Mackenzie." He said. He got up, walking out with her.

Ares fell asleep shortly after Holly did. He dreamed of war. There were bodies laid everywhere. Some were crying for help while others just laid dead or close to it. He had adrenaline pumping in his veins as he watched more and more soldiers fall in the heat of battle. He saw Holly walking among the dead. Her eyes weren't the same, but he knew it was her.

Kenzie didn't have to be told twice. She sat down in his car and watched him drive off. "We can go to my apartment. My parents aren't in town for a few weeks," she suggested and gave him the address. She figured that he would want to be around as little people as possible.

Holly walked towards Ares and placed her hands on his cheeks. She kissed him deeply, taking the energy from the deaths his war had created. "Thank you." She whispered against his lips. She pulled away letting her hands fall away. Holly opened her eyes, her heart pumping fast. She rolled over, burying her face in Ares's chest. She couldn't fall back to sleep though.

Taven nodded, "Okay." He said. He drove her her apartment and got out. He walked into her apartment, getting a strange look from her neighbor. Taven looked around her apartment and smiled.

Ares woke up feeling something stirring on his chest. "Be still, dear," he muttered half asleep. "It's too early to be flipping out." He sounded like his hippie uncle who would have said man instead of dear. His arms wrapped around her and rubbed his back.

Kenzie gave a short tour of the apartment before going into the kitchen. "Do you want something to drink?" She asked, calmly. She heard the soft mew of her cat on the counter. It was a one year old Sphinx named Tut. The cat looked curious at the guest and hoped of the counter and rubbed himself around Taven's legs.

Holly closed her eyes, relaxing against him. She slowly fell asleep on him and woke up a few hours later. She smiled at Ares then poked his cheek. "Ares...wake up." She whispered. When he looked at her, she smiled, "It's my birthday." She said as she sat up on her knees and looked at him. She ran her fingers through her long blonde hair as he looked at him. "Which means it's your day to spoil me until my hearts content." She said, dramatically as she laid across his body and let the back of her hand rested on her forehead.

Taven looked down at the cat and smiled. He looked back at Mackenzie, "No I'm okay thank you." He said. He pulled off his leather jacket and laid it on the chair.

Ares woke up with Holly sprawled out over his body. "Oh, I'm supposed to spoil you?" he asked teasingly. He grabbed her sides tickling her. " is that how it works?" He couldn't help but tease her. He moved to where he was straddling her with his hand moving on her ribs.

"His name is Tut," Kenzie said, grabbing her a bottle of water. "He likes you." She watched the cat sit on Taven's foot. She had never seen that cat like anyone other than her. Yet, here he was rubbing his face on a someone else's leg.
