Holly giggled as Ares tickled her, "Yes you have to spoil me." She squealed. She laughed as she tried to stop his hands. She looked up at him when he stopped and smiled. She moved her hips slightly, feeling his weight on her. She looked up at his bare chest then looked into his eyes.

Taven smiled then picked the cat up. "So where are your parents?" He asked as he ran his fingers through the cats fur.

Ares noticed her looking at his chest. "What's the matter? You have seen me shirtless before," he pointed out easily. "Or is this first time you're noticing my attractive nature?" He keep from teasing her. He ran a hand down his chest to point it out more. His chest was tattooed as heavily as his arms were.

"They are somewhere in Africa. Instead of being with their daughter, they left me with other members of the family until I turned sixteen to go off and feed the people on another continent and tell me how they are such good roles models through letters," Kenzie replied, letting the pain sink into her worda. She had wished that she didn't grow up in her aunt's and uncle's houses.she even wished that she had normal parents that stayed home.

Holly smiled as she watched his hand. She shrugged, "I was just looking at your tattoos." She said as she reached up and let her fingers run over his chest. She smiled, "so what so you have planned for today?" She asked.

Taven nodded, "Oh I'm sorry." He said. He felt bad that her parents were jerks to her. "If it helps I don't know who my dad is." He said with a shrug.

"A few things," Are muttered. "But they are for me to know and for you to find out." He smiled down at her. He loved the feel of her fingers on my chest. "Have I ever told you that I think you are beautiful?"

Kenzie looked at Taven. "It's not your fault. I really should be used to it," she said. "I'm sorry about your dad." There was something rotten in the air. Kenzie looked over to see the pile of bananas that she bought yesterday when they were still slightly green were now black and rotten. "I'm just bought these," she said, picking them up and throwing them into the trash can.

Holly smiled, "I think you may have a few times." She said as she looked up at him. "So what are we doing first?" She asked as she placed her hands on his sides.

Taven watched her, "You know maybe you kill food." He suggested. It didn't seem like it would be out of the ordinary. "It could be a possibility." He suggested.

Ares smiled at her. "Why would I tell you?" he asked, smirking at her. He got close to telling her right then how he felt. He got up and told her to get dressed. He went to his closet and pulled on a clean shirt and pushed off his shorts and pulled on some pants. He had never really been bothered to change in another room when Holly was over.

"Yeah, maybe. I just want to understand why," Kenzie replied. "It's the second time this happened." She looked over at him. "And why is it just now showing up?" She shook her head, knowing he wouldn't be able to tell her. She just took him into the living room.

Holly stood up then changed into a pair of jeans and a tank top. She looked at him, "Alright impress me." She said laughing. She walked downstairs with him and ran her fingers through her hair.

Taven shrugged, "Stuff just randomly started happening to me too." He said. He sat in the living room, setting the cat down. "We will figure it out." He said.

Ares walked with her out to his car. He took her to a nice restaurant which was her favorite place. He still seemed to surprise himself on how much he paid attention to what she liked. He blamed it on growing up with her.

Kenzie nodded. "Hopefully we will. What if there are more like us?" she asked. "I mean like they all do something and have these powers or whatever you want to call it." She looked at him wondering what he thought.

Holly smiled as they walked into the restuarant. She looked at the menu, "Thank for taking me here Ares." She said softly. She ordered her food then looked at him. "So what are we doing after this?" She asked, excitedly.

Taven shrugged, "If there is I would hate to see what they can do." He said. He felt like things were only going to get worse. "I don't want to hurt people like this." He said.

Ares didn't answer her question. He wasn't going to let Holly in on his plans for her birthday just yet. He wanted her to have a good birthday. "So are you enjoying your birthday yet or is it too soon to ask?" he asked, giving her a clever smile.

Kenzie grabbed his hand and said, "No one does. We just need to know how to control it. Maybe you can reverse it?" She said, being a bit of an optimistic which was something she had never been. She just didn't like the look of guilt on his face. "Maybe if there are others, they may know how to help."

Holly looked at him, "Of course I'm having a good time. I'm with you so everything is great." She said. Holly smiled as their food got there and began to eat. Holly was glad she was getting to spend time with him.

Taven nodded, "Question is how do we figure out who it is." He asked. Taven sighed as he looked at their hands. "We obviously don't have the same powers." He said.

Ares smiled at her. "Yeah, it's nice spending time with a wonderful girl like you," he replied. He smiled at her and was slightly annoyed but the chatter in the room. Then he could hear a couple begin to agree from across the room. It seemed out of the blue and all of a sudden. Hearing their voices, the more irritated Ares got and the couple would get even more mad until they were nearly clawing each other's eyes out. He could it kind of exciting, but didn't know what to make of it. His dream flashed in his head.

Kenzie nodded. "We may not have the same powers, but we can still help each other. Maybe they can tell that we have powers or something." She was just throwing out ideas. Her hand still held onto Taven's hand, and she didn't even notice. She was just trying to get him hopeful about something.

Holly looked at him when he started to look frustrated. "What's wrong?" She aske as she touched his hand. She jumped slightly when she heard the man slam his hands on the table from across the room. Holly stared stunned as he grabbed his girlfriend and tried to strangle her til someone pulled him off. Holly let go of Ares's hand and the man mellowed out some.

Taven looked at her, "But we didn't know that we had powers when we met." He said. Taven looked at their hands again. "I don't know what we are goin to do to figure this out." He said.

Ares looked over at Holly. "Sorry, I got a little lost in thought," he said, trying to shake his thoughts of the couple. His irritation seemed to make them worse. How in the world was that possible? He sighed and put a smile for Holly.

Kenzie looked at their hands. "I'm not saying it isn't going to be hard, but we will try our hardest to get this under control, alright? We'll help each other," she said gently. "I know it seems impossible, but we will do it. It will just take time." She wished he wouldn't look so guilty, making her want to see his smile.

Holly smiled at Ares, "It's okay." She said. She didn't want to admit that she liked having his attention to herself all the time. She took his hand and laced their fingers together. "Ares you are the best. No one else would do this kind of stuff for me:" she said as she looke at their hands.

Taven nodded, "I will help you." He said softly. He knew that he couldn't do this alone. "Its kind of ironic that you make food go bad and your parents are trying to help starving nations." He said, smirking slightly. He looked at her hands then back at her again.

Ares smiled at her. "It's because I care about you more than anyone else obviously," he said, squeezing her hand gently. He gave her an award - winning smile. He waited to see how she would react to what he just said.

Kenzie laughed quietly. "Yeah, they would just love that. I can only imagine what they would say to that. They are already mad that I don't want to follow in their footsteps, so this shouldn't be that bad," she rambled. She leaned into him gently. "I wish I had normal parents who stayed home."

Holly smiled, "I care about you too Ares." She said. She slowly let her fingers slip from him when their food came. She are her food then waited for him to finish when she was done. Holly ran her fingers through her hair and she looked over at some kid across from them. The little girl was staring at her with fearful eyes. Holly looked away and looked out the window.

Taven put his arm around her, "We all want normal parents but we are never going to have them." He said, laughing softly. He rested his head on hers as they relaxed. For once he didn't feel on edge when he was with her.

Ares looked at her worried. "Is there something wrong?" he asked. His dark brown eyes were filled with his worry. "Is the food not good?" He looked at her carefully.

Kenzie felt comfortable with him. She was kind of glad that she had him here to just listen to her. He didn't seem tense now. "We will have to make the most of what we do have, right?" she said, repeating the words of her cousin who was from Germany and had a very thick accent.

Holly looked at him, "I just got a bad feeling in my head." She said softly. She stood up with him after he paid and pulled on her jacket. Holly walked out with him and walked down the street. She frowned when an ambulance went by and stopped down the street at the resturant. Holly stopped, holding Ares hand as she looked back, keeping him from walking anymore.

Taven nodded, "Yes we will." He said as he looked at the tv on front of them. "I'm sure we can get this stuff under control." He said with a smile. He wanted her to feel better.

Ares stopped walking and looked at Holly. He reached for her hand. His eyes went back to the restaurant, noticing the ambulance. He didn't really want to know what was going on. He was still confused about the couple earlier. He felt like he had something to do with it, and he didn't understand it. It happened with his brother earlier.

Kenzie smiled. "You can watch TV if you like," she said. "I'm a little tired, so I may fall asleep on you." She reached over and gave him the remote. She felt at peace with him like this. Tut pounced into her lap and curled up. The Sphinx's skin was cold from the lack of fur. This was common to have Tut in her lap on the couch.
