Dark Shadows

She didn't have anything to say to him at the moment, everything that came out would be more words that she wished she'd never said. She climbed into her car then pulled out the number of the judge her lawyer had given her.

He smiled a little,"Malia eat please," he said to her,"If I'm hungry I can cook, but don't worry so much. I thought you remembered I don't really eat breakfast,"

He went back into the court room, seeing the rest of the lawyers and mediator. "She's not coming back. We'll need to reschedule. I'm sorry." He said, rubbing his face, and shaking his head. She was making it harder than it needed to be.

I sighed a little, hearing that in the back of my mind. I did know that, I guess I had forgotten. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to do something so you would be happy." I said, looking at my feet. I looked behind me, turning to finish cleaning up. "I won't make that mistake again." I said, putting the dishes in the sink.

"I'm not upset Malia there is nothing to be upset about," he told her lightly.

She sighed as she spoke to the judge and just as she had thought, the judge agreed with her on the plan so she texted her lawyer then went back to her hotel.

I sighed a little and nodded, cleaning up. I looked at the food and sighed, despite being hungry, I wouldn't eat. It wasn't my food to eat. "I'm not hungry. I'll save this for later." I murmured, getting containers to put the food in.

He went back to the hotel, sitting in his room. He was so tired and over the whole thing. He wanted it finalized and done, but he couldn't even imagine dating someone else.

He sighed as he looked at her then licked his lips,"fine," he murmured as he went to sit in his recliner then turned on the tv.

When she got back to the hotel she sat on her bed then laid back resting her arm over her eyes

I finished cleaning up and went to put the dishes in the dishwasher. It had been about 5 days since I had eaten, and not even a full meal. Just little bits and pieces. I felt my head spinning and I swayed slightly, falling to the floor. I dropped a glass, feeling it shatter right next to my arm and cutting my skin.

He ordered room service, wondering if it was a boy or a girl. He just wanted a child. He had packed their wedding photo in his bag, and he saw it on top. He covered it up, knowing that part of them was gone.

She licked over her lips then picked up her phone calling Yixing, she hoped he would answer.

Jongdae got up and ran over to her Malia," he said softly,"What happened?" he asked her as he lifted her into his arms.

I felt weak, unable to move quickly. I was passing out, I knew it. I had felt like this all week. My eyes closed, my head falling back.

He saw his phone ring and he picked it up, looking at it in confusion. "Yes?"

"What if we lived together, civil for the baby," she said softly,"Neither of us wants to miss any time with him or her, so why not live together," she offered softly.

"Fuck," he cursed picking her up and taking her to the car grabbing his keys quickly then driving her to the hospital.

I felt myself moving, but I wasn't aware of where we were going. I felt people around me, and being carried. I was laid on a bed and l reached around. "Jongdae?" I asked, unsure of whats happening.

He sighed. "Are you sure? If it means I can be there for the baby then fine, I'll do it."

She nodded,"Okay then uhm, I'll get to the house sometime tomorrow," she murmured, "We need to work out whatever animosity between one another before he or she gets here; we can't be spewing hate or flames at one another when the baby is around - ever," she told him, "I want it to know it's loved and that we put him or her above all else,"

He was standing to the far side of the room looking on concerned when she called his name he walked over they were on the opposite side putting in IV's. He grabbed her hand,"I'm here,"

I looked at him in confusion. "What's happening?" I asked, wincing as I got stabbed with a needle.

"Just because what was between us is over doesn't mean I can't be civil. I will be there for my child." He said to her.

She sighed a little, "I'll see you tomorrow," she said to him softly and hung up, she missed when he would tell her how much he loved her, and how he'd never let anything come between us - it was all a lie. The entire institute of marriage was a lie.

"You passed out, I thought I told you to eat?" he said to her seriously, "Why haven't you been eating?"

I sighed a little, looking at the monitor on the wall. "I didn't want to eat your food. Its not mine to eat."

He hung up, looking at the wall. He missed her, but what they had was gone. He wasn't sure where he'd find it if it was still able to be found.

She sighed a little as she packed all her things away then went to take a shower, she stripped in front of the mirror her stomach bulging slightly, it was cute she thought as she stepped into the shower.

"Whats mine is yours Malia don't be silly," he said to her gently.

I looked around as I saw the nurse inject something into my iv.

"We're going to need to keep her, she's extremely underweight and malnourished. Why hasnt she been eating?" The nurse asked, looking at me with worry.

He fell onto his bed, looking at the ceiling. The picture of the two of them stared at him, its unwavering gaze making him uncomfortable and he rolled over to avoid it. He wanted to get rid of it, but he'd give it to her instead.

He sighed,"She just got out of a very bad relationship he didn't let her do a lot on her own without his permission, I didn't notice, I thought she'd been eating since she cooked, I never thought otherwise," he said to her lightly.

I made a face, feeling my blood being drawn. I hated the hospital. Always trying to take something or put something in.

The nurse made a disapproving face. "Well if we can't trust she'll eat at home, we're going to need to keep her here to make sure she regains the weight. I would say she's supposed to be around a size eight, and she's around a six. We'll need to fatten her up a bit."

I shook my head, looking at the nurse. I was supposed to be a five, I wasn't allowed to gain any more then that. I looked at Jongdae and sighed. "Can't I go home? I'll eat, I promise."

He sighed,"I'll make sure she eatsand if she doesn't then I'll have to bring her back," he said lightly then looked at her,"Promise me."He told her, "He is in jail Malia he can not hurt you," he said softly.

I made a face. I didn't want to stay here, but at the same time I had no intentions on eating. "Fine. I'll eat." I muttered, looking around at them. "Can the needle be taken out then?"
