All At Once

I sighed a little, relaxing into the couch. "Oh," I said softly. Just about everything scared me recently, I just wanted to not be so afraid of my own shadow anymore.

He smiled a little as he pulled up to the house. "Well, try to remember if you have dreams. Maybe we should start having you write a dream journal?"

She nodded,"I will try," she said to him softly as she looked at him,"I'll see you at the next appointment,"

He smiled,"You're okay I promise," he said to her lightly.

I nodded a little, leaning my head back. I stared at the ceiling, closing my eyes slightly.

He smiled. "See what you can write, we can talk about them later." He said with a smile.

She gave a small nod,"See you then," she said as she climbed out of the car and walked up to the house.

I looked up as Audrey came inside. I watched silently, sitting on the couch and staring at the tv blankly. I wasn't even watching it, it was just noise.

"Hey," she said softly as she looked at her,"How's your day been?" she asked.

"She talked to me," Ryan smiled,

"Did she? Awesome!" she girnned.

I sighed softly, continuing to stare at the tv. I didn't see a big deal in it. I knew I wasn't how I used to be before the accdent, but was I really so different than before?

"I'm going to order food, what would you two like?" she she asked.

I kept quiet, not really hungry. But I knew they would try to feed me anyway. I looked over at Audrey, and then back to the tv, not having anything to say.

She sighed,"Fine, I'll just order what I want, but you will eat," she said to her as she walked into the kitchen.

I made a face, laying down on the couch and staring at the tv. I put my head on the arm rest, looking at Ryan and Audrey walk around the room. "Can I go to sleep?"

"Sleep I'll wake you when the food is here," she told her as she walked from the kitchen.

I made a face, not wanting the food at all. "I'm not hungry." I insisted, getting up to go to my room.

"Whatever," she sighed as she looked at her,"I need to see you eat," she told her with a concerned tone.

I knocked on Ryan's door, standing there in my blanket. I couldn't go to Audrey, she had enough trouble sleeping. I slept better when I fell asleep in the same room as Ryan, but he was in his room, the guest room. I hesitated, wondering if this was a bad idea. But I hadn't slept well in days because he no longer spent time in the living room like he used to. I raised my hand to knock again, wondering if he was asleep.

Ryan opened the door,"Hey, everything okay?" he asked her cautiously as he looked in the hallway.

Audrey laid on her bed staring at the ceiling, she was starting to wonder if she should have asked for sleeping meds from the doctor, btu she didn't know if he'd give them to her.

I stared at him in slight panic, not knowing what to say. "I can't sleep." I admitted quietly, looking at the floor.

He nodded a little, he knew this well and nodded to his room, "Come on," he said to her.

I walked inside his room, moving out of the way so that he could close the door. I didn't know where I would sit, so I waited for him to tell me. I felt out of place where I came to be comfortable.

He pulled up to the front of the house, calling Audrey. I figured you would be awake, I brought sleeping pills to help you sleep if you felt you needed them.

She climbed out of bed, she'd been crying because she was so tired. "I'll be down in a minute," she said into the phone as she sniffled then walked down the stairs to the front door.

"You can lay on the bed I'm filling out some reports, and stuff I'll lay down shortly," he told her.
