Waiting for Superman

Annie frowned. "But he's never hurt me or the babies before." She said. She didn't understand why her husband was so worried about this happening now. It made no sense to her at all. She sighed softly. "I hope so. Even if he is okay, I can't help being a little worried..."

Steve knew that it wasn't his place to tell Annie about the dreams so he wouldn't. That was something that Bucky was going to have to tell his wife himself. "Iris is right, I'm sure he'll be back soon. He just needed to clear his head and think things through."

Bucky nodded and decided it was best to talk things through with his wife, he walked up the stairs slowly. Thinking about everything. Once he reached his floor he stepped inside and walked down to his apartment, clearing his throat. Bucky took the key out and opened the door slowly and walked inside.

Iris rubbed her belly, "I feel like these two never sleep, always moving around.. Maybe they're on the same sleeping schedule I am.." She chuckled. She looked up when she saw Bucky walk through the door,.

"The triplets were like that too. I thought Bucky and I would never be getting any sleep. They're actually really good though. Better than I expected them to be." Annie said. She looked over to the door when she heard it open, pretty relieved when she saw her husband. She really had been worried about him.

Steve noticed Bucky walk in and stood up. "We should get you home." He said to his girlfriend. He helped her up from the couch and led her back across the hall to their apartment. He knew that their friends needed to talk things out.

Bucky dropped his jacket on the table and walked to talk to his wife. He sighed softly "I'm sorry for running out like that on you. For being scary and aggrieved I don't know what came over me, I just.. I've um been having nightmares.."

Iris stood up, "here I thought you would carry me home, well.. No wonder you want me in bed, I must be really heavy," she wobbled to their apartment and walked to the bedroom. Taking off her shoes and lying on her bsck.

Annie watched Iris and Steve leave before looking over to her husband. She was silent, listening as he talked. She frowned at his words. "Again?" She asked. "Why didn't you say anything?" She wondered how long he'd been having nightmares again and also how she hadn't picked up on that either.

"Hey, I never said you were heavy." Steve told her. "I just figured that I'd let you walk across the hall seeing as you've been sitting in bed all day." He followed her into the bedroom. "Shouldn't you be laying on your side? I thought the doctor said something about that."

Bucky sighed softly and looked at her, "I honestly don't know why I didn't tell you sooner I guess I thought they go away.. They started recently and I just.." He pulled her in a hug "I'm sorry so sorry for scaring you, I don't want you to fear me."

Iris sighed and looked up when he said something she mumbled and rolled ionto her side. "Yeah.. Yeah" she was getting aggravated again. She couldn't help t though it just happened.

Annie frowned. "Babe, if something like that happens, you should tell me. I could've done something to try and help..." She said quietly. She wished that he'd told her sooner. She hugged him back tightly, resting her cheek against his chest. "I don't fear you...I could never...I just---you caught me off guard this morning."

Steve frowned. He could tell that she was getting aggravated again. That much was fairly obvious. "Did you need anything?" He asked curiously, taking a seat next to her on the bed.

Bucky nodded, "I will I promise," he cupped her face and rubbed her face gently kissing her gently.. "I just panicked I guess, I don't do well with this sorta thing .. Nightmares weren't as bad as they used to be.. " he pressed his cheek against her head, "good, I don't want you to be afraid of me ever."

Iris sighed, "I need them to come out of me already, I don't think that's something we can do right now" she sighed. "Can you run my legs? I'm kind of sore.."

Annie kissed him back softly. "I know that you don't, but you shouldn't have to handle this yourself, babe. I would have helped you through it." She told him quietly. "I could never be afraid of you." She sighed softly, staying there in his arms for a little while. "Did you want to talk about what the nightmares are about..?"

Steve started rubbing her legs. "Of course I can, sweetheart." He told her. "Just a few more months and they'll be here. You're reaching the homestretch now. I know you can do this."

Bucky nodded, "I know and I don't know why I keep these things to myself, you'd think I'd be more open about these things," he rubbed Annie's back. "I love you. Yeah, maybe talking about it will help me.." He nodded. "Well, I think some of them is the same one where I fall off the plane which I actually did.. And the other one where.. I I.. Hurt you" he whispered

Iris smiled "I can't wait to meet our babies, it's so exoiting! Ooh that feels nice," she smiled. "Thank you for having so much faith in me, and being so good to me,"

"Please try to be from here on out...I don't want you keeping this to yourself anymore." Annie told him quietly. She just didn't like the idea of it at all. "I love you too. So, so much." She listened as he talked, the expression on her face softening slightly. She could see why he left this morning now. "Babe, you've never hurt me before, and I know you never will."

Steve smiled, stopping to kiss her. "I can't wait either." He told her as he went back to rubbing her legs. "I'm glad. And I'll always have faith in you and treat you the way you deserve to be treated, I promise."

Bucky nodded as he lead his wife to the living room and sat down, "I will, I promise.." He pulled her into his lap and kissed her cheek, "o should have realized, it when I didn't hurt you as the Soldier." He held her close,

Iris kissed him back, "oh how did I get so lucky?" She smiled. "I mean you're so sweet and affectionate and take good care of me.." She rubbed her belly, "I think they have the hiccups." She smiled.

Annie rested her head against her husband's shoulder. She just wanted to be close to him right now. "I don't think that you could ever hurt me, babe." She said quietly. "I trust you. Even when you didn't remember me, you knew that it was wrong. You're never going to hurt me or the triplets. I know that you won't. You're a good person."

Steve chuckled softly. "I don't know, how did you?" He smiled at her words. "And I'll always do that, just so you know. Nothing's ever going to change how I treat you, and I mean that. Both of them or just one?"

Bucky should have known better, even when he was alone with her after he was captured, or well, he handed himself over. They couldn't get him to kill Annie. "That's true, I have to keep telling myself that I have the strength.." He sighed and kissed the top of her head.

Iris smiled softly, "um.. I helped you break out of that hospital.. Oh and o guess Sam helped me out" she laughed. Iris rubbed her belly, "both, it's really weird but cute"she smiled.

"You're one of the strongest people I know, Bucky." Annie told her husband quietly. "You always have been, and you always will be. And you are a good person. You'd never hurt me or anyone else that you love. I know that you wouldn't. I trust you with my life."

Steve chuckled softly. "I guess you're right." He said, continuing to rub her legs. "Don't give Sam too much credit with that." He chuckled once more. "Has it happened before?" He asked her curiously, stopping to rest his hands on her belly so he could feel.

Bucky looked down at his wife while she spoke, he touched her face with his left hand and smiled. "No one has ever had this much faith in me, besides Steve I mean. Thank you sweetheart" he cupped her face and kissed her softly. "I trust you with my life too,"

Iris smiled, "your welcome" she giggled. "Well, he told you about me didn't he? I think he deserves some credit. Not both at once it's adorable" she smiled.

Annie smiled, placing her hand lightly over his. "You don't need to thank me. I'll always have faith in you." She said before kissing him back softly. "Good, I'm glad." She was glad that they'd talked about this. She figured it was what he needed. "No keeping things like this to yourself anymore, got it?"

Steve chuckled softly. "Alright, I guess we can give him some credit." He said. "Not all of it though." He smiled. "We'll be meeting them soon enough. He lifted her shirt, pressing a kiss to her belly before moving so that he could kiss her. "I love you."

Bucky smiled pulling Annie into his lap and kissing her forehead, he was glad that he came back and talked things through. "How are the babies? " he pressed his forehead against Annie's. "I won't, I promise if I start acting weird shaking it out of me.. Or you know send Steve" he chuckled.

Iris smiled. "He'll have to make due with some. No not all of it, it's not like he set up a date for us. We did that on our own." Iris nodded and smiled softly as her boyfriend kissed her belly before kissing her. She touched his face kissing him back. "I love you too. So much."

Annie smiled when he pulled her onto his lap and kissed her forehead. "They're good. I just put them down for a nap a little while ago." She told him. She laughed quietly in response to her later words. "Alright, I'll be sure to shake it out of you. About that job with SHIELD..."

Steve chuckled softly. "That's right, he can't take all of the credit." He told her. "We did have something to do with some of it." He kissed her softly, smiling at her words. "Did you need anything?" He asked her curiously.

Bucky nodded, "all right, they've been so good, I'm afraid to jinx it by saying anything" he chuckled . He looked at Annie he has almost forgot all about the job offer until she brought it up, "what about it? Actually Steve made some suggestions, maybe I'd help Sam with what he does.. Since I've been through a similar experience.."

Iris smiled and kissed his cheek when he was close to her face, "I love those baby blues of yours.." She nodded, "I kept pushing myself to you.. Or tried to I don't know how successful I was.."I'm fine.. Just you here with me."
