Waiting for Superman

Annie just didn't like the idea of her husband being away from her and the triplets for an extended period of time. She saw how things were with Iris and Steve sometimes, and she just didn't want that for her or her husband and their family. She smiled. "Good, because I wouldn't let you go anywhere even if you want to." She told him, letting out a quiet laugh. "I want you here with me and our babies."

Steve hoped that he wouldn't be too late. He'd made a promise to his girlfriend, and he'd never once intended on breaking that promise. He'd feel horrible if he ended up doing so. He probably broke protocol and so many different rules and regulations, but he got back home as quickly as he possibly could. He rushed into the hospital, asking the woman behind the front desk to show him to his girlfriend's room. He knew that he looked worse for wear right now, battered and bruised, unshaven and still in uniform, but he had no time to lose right now. "I'm here!" He said, bursting through the delivery room doors.

Bucky pulled Annie closer to him and kissed her softly, "I'm not going anywhere sweetheart, you're stuck with me, forever " he grinned. He hoped he would never have to go out on a SHIELD mission but how how he say no to his best friend? That would be hard to do and he couldn't just leave Annie alone with the triplets.

Iris was lying back and her legs were spread and she was already to push , a little disappointed. Then there he was coming through the door, "Steve!" She shouted, she wasn't angry more relieved. Nina looked over shaking her head "here clean up" she told him and helped him put on a gown of sorts over his uniform. Iris reached for his hand, "what did they do to you?" She asked softly, she turned back to the pressure in her lower area. "Oh! Okay.. They're coming!" She breathed heavily.

[Seb posted a pic on his instagram last week! He usually stays pretty hidden from the press, that's why there aren't really any pics]

Annie smiled, kissing him back softly. "Good, I wouldn't have it any other way." She told him quietly, her hand resting lightly on his cheek as she looked up at him. "I love you so much." She was glad that he hadn't taken the job. She'd just be worrying about him constantly.

Steve walked over, taking a seat next to the bed. "I'm here, sweetheart." He pressed his lips to the back of her hand. He shook his head in response to her words. "It doesn't matter. What matters is that you're about to bring our children into this world, and i kept my promise and I'm here now."

[oh yeah I saw that! That would do it. Damn all these hot men and keeping to themselves..]

Bucky rubbed her hands, "and I love you too sweetheart more than you can image, now come here" he smiled pulling her j to his lap. "I will always take good care of you and the babies." He kissed Annie's cheek,.

Iris looked over to her boyfriend and nodded, "I'm glad you're here, I was afraid of doing this alone.." She breathed harder, "we're taking care of you too.. After I mean.." She nodded and pushed when the doctor instructed her. "Oh god.." She grunted.

Annie smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I know you will. I have complete faith in you. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing." She teased, letting out a quiet laugh. Sighing contently, she rested her head against his shoulder. She loved moments like this one.

"I wouldn't miss being here for anything in the world, doll." Steve assured her, sending her a small, reassuring smile. "I don't need taking care of, sweetheart. I'm fine." He let her hold his hand. "You're doing great, Iris. I know you can do this."

[well.. Damn, Sebastian needs to quit hiding! Lol]

Bucky smiled, "I'm glad you have so much faith in me I have so much in both of us." Bucky loved having intimate moments with his wife and not necassarily anything sexual just having heart to hearts or cuddling. He looked at Annie and kissed her cheek.

It its smiled weakly and nodded, "I'm glad you made it, even if you were cutting it pretty close.." She huffed and nodded, "oh.. " she kept pushing as she squeezed Steve's hand, "I'm .. I don't mean to squeeze your hand.. Oh god.." She grunted. "You're almost there I can see the head.."

Annie smiled at his words. "I'll always have faith in you, no matter what." She told him, resting her cheek against his shoulder. She loved moments like this. They didn't have to be doing much of anything, they could just sit and talk. That was a real relationship right there. "I love you." She said quietly.

Steve smiled. "I told you that I would, didn't I? You know I'd never go back on a promise like that. Not one that I made to my best girl." He told her. "It's fine, sweetheart. You don't need to apologize. You're doing great, doll."

Bucky kissed the top of Annie's head, "I know you say that I will be, but I really hope I'm a good father." He smiled and rubbed her hand, "and I love you sweetheart so much." Bucky kissed her head and sighed contently, everything was perfect.

Iris nodded and grunted as she pushed, "you're my rock you know.. Oh. " she could feel the baby coming out. "He's crowning" she could hear with another push or two he was put. "Oh.. That's our baby" she breathed. Wondering when Daisy would come out. "Thanks for keep your promise."

[They really do!! Maybe that's why I haven't met him yet...the number of times I've been in NYC when he was home and haven't met him...]

"You're already an amazing father, babe." Annie told him. "I can see it in how you act with the triplets. You're so good with them. I knew before they were born too. You were always great with my nieces and nephew. The signs were all there." She squeezed his hand lightly. "This is nice." A content sigh escaped her lips. She liked moments like this, where she and her husband just sat and talked. It was great.

"You're almost there sweetheart. You're doing great." Steve told her, never once letting go of her hand. He grinned when he heard a cry. "Yes it is. That's our boy." He kissed her head. "I'm so proud of you already, doll. So, so proud."

Bucky smiled, "I'm glad you think so, and you're an amazing mother, and the most beautiful woman anywhere" he grinned. He kissed her temple as Bucky held her close, "so I suppose we copied just be lazy until one of not all of the babies wake up and demand attention or food" he smiled.

Iris squeezed her eyes shut and breathed heavily, "oh I can't wait to hold my babies.." And after a couple more minutes she felt Daisy trying to come out, "oh.. Okay.. Here she comes" she grunted as she began to push again.

Annie smiled at his words. "I think your opinion is slightly biased, but thank you." She pressed a kiss to his cheek. "That sounds absolutely amazing actually. I'm all for being lazy. We haven't had a lazy day in ages." She hid her face in the crook of his neck.

Steve smiled, squeezing her hand lightly. "I know, doll. You're almost there. We'll be able to meet them both soon enough." He told her. "You've got this, sweetheart. You're so strong. I know you can do it."

Bucky kissed her face, "of course it is, I'm your husband and it's going to stay biased." He looked down and smiled rubbing her back, "just sleep you'll need all the aleep you can get" he said and kissed her head.

Iris nodded and started to push grunting, "come on, push harder she's almost out," the doctor instructed. Iris had been waiting for a long time for this moment and she wasn't going to give up now. She pushed as hard as she could and could hear another cry, she also started to cry. "Can.. I hold them"
She breathed heavily.

Annie smiled. "I wouldn't expect anything less from you." She laughed quietly. She nodded, curling up to make herself a bit more comfortable. "Okay..." She hummed softly, allowing her eyes to close. It was moments like this that she loved most. Just being close to her husband, and knowing that she'd wake up to him every day for the rest of her life.

"You're doing great, sweetheart." Steve told her, letting her squeeze his hand as much as she needed to. "You're almost there. Just a little longer and we can meet them both." He smiled when another cry filled the room. "You did great, doll. I'm so proud of you." He kissed her head.

Bucky chuckled, "everyone knows how biased I am towards you and it's never going to change." He earthed her get comfortable and smiled, "we can spend the rest of our lives like this and I wouldn't get tired of it, I love you" he whispered in her ear.

Iris lied back once everything was done and she was tired and her breathing was still heavy. She looked over at Steve's face and smiled weakly, "you look good with facial hair, you should keep it every once in awhile" she grinned. Turning her attention when they handed her one of the twins, "oh he's beautiful.." She said emotionally. She looked over at Steve who was handed Daisy, "oh o can't believe we're parents."

Annie let out a quiet laugh. "I know that, and I'm sure that everyone else does too." She said. She let out a content sigh, smiling at his words. "I wouldn't get tired of it either. I love you too, so, so much." She allowed her eyes to close as she drifted off to sleep.

Steve let out a soft chuckle at her words. "You think so, huh?" He asked her. "I'll consider it, but only because you think that I should." He smiled when he was handed their daughter. "She looks so much like you." He said quietly, running his thumb along her tiny cheek.

Bucky smiled, "everyone always says how I should stop being so biased with you. That's not gonna happen• Bucky looked at his wife as she slept and smiled, he loved her so much. He couldn't image not having her r not being with her.

Iris nodded holding Baby Steve in her arms, "and he looks just like you, so cute" she smiled. "I can't believe I'm a mommy now.." She said softly tears rolling down her face.

"Mmm...I'd be surprised if it did happen." Annie told her husband, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Letting out a content sigh, she curled up against her husband as she drifted off to sleep.

Steve smiled. "I'm sorry I almost missed being here." He told her. He would have felt horrible if he had, and that wasn't only because he'd made her a promise. He would have felt horrible even if he hadn't made her promise. This was a big deal, and he was glad that he hadn't missed it. "You're an amazing mother already, doll."

Bucky kissed the top of his wife's head and watched her fall asleep. He sighed happily, being with her made him so happy. Sometimes he wondered how he found such a sweet and caring woman, not to mention beautiful.

Iris smiled softly, "the important thing is that you're here with us..and I'm going to take care of you when we get home," she told him. "No, buts, ifs about it mister," she looked down at their son, "he is just too cute, I love them so much already." She looked up, "are you always this sweet?"

"We totally owe my parents big time for taking the triplets off of our hands for the night." Annie said, burying her face into the crook of her husband's neck. It was strange how quiet the apartment was for once, and while she liked it, it almost felt too strange. She'd gotten used to the hectic lifestyle that came along with motherhood, especially when it came in threes, but she did appreciate her parents taking the kids for the day and night. Clearly the peace and quiet wasn't going to last. A loud bang sounded throughout the apartment, almost as though the door had been kicked down. Getting to her feet, despite her husband's wishes, Annie rushed out into the hallway. "Tony?" She asked, confused. "What the hell is going on?"

[I'll let you start for Steve and Iris.]

Bucky nodded, "that we do, I'll have to send them something later, what do they like?" He enjoyed spending time with his wife like this it was nice. Bucky kissed the top of Annie's head, as he got up he went to check on the weird noises coming from outside. "Stay right here " he frowned when Annie didn't listen. Bucky made his way to the front door, and glared at Tony "Stark, what the hell is this about?" He stood in front of Annie protecting her. "Do you always come barging into people's homes like this?"

Iris was lying on the bed with the twins touching their faces, it had been maybe a couple weeks or so since she's gotten home from the hospital. "My sweet little babies, Steve and Daisy. I'm so happy" she sighed happily. "Steve he looks just like you and Daisy looks like me I see it, it's so cute"
