This I Swear

She nodded a little and sighed as she got out of the car, the anger was replaced with a sense of releif.. he was alive. He wasn't hurt, or in jail.. he wasn't dead. Thats all that mattered to her right then.

I sighed a little as I walked to work, heading to the coffee shop again. I wanted to forget yesterday, and pretend that it never happened. I ordered my drink and sat by the window, doing my best to look forward to today.

Lucy sighed a little as she pushed a hand through her hair, she walked into the book store then directly to the young adult section. 'werewolves', 'vampires' it was everywhere. How could this even be a reality.

Jongdae sighed as she walked into the coffee shop he saw her and let out a sigh, he knew he smelled her. He sat down across from her, "Please see me again," he murmured, "Yesterday was not supposed to go that way, I am really harmless," he said to her gently.

"Please.." he said with a pained expression.

I looked at him with wide eyes before shaking my head. "No. I'm sorry. I don't want to." I said softly. "Please go sit somewhere else."

Yixing sat on the floor, reading one of the books on werewolves. He smelled her when she walked in and looked at her, not knowing how she'd react to seeing him there.

She sighed a little as looked around then stopped when she saw him, "Oh.. hey," she murmured softly as she looked at him. Lucy pushed a hand through her hair, "So...you're okay right," she said as she looked him over for any sign of harm to him. Lucy cried herself to sleep the night before, not in fear but in happiness that he was okay.. that he still loved her.

He nodded slightly. "I'm fine now. I'm more worried that you aren't okay. I just didn't want to ruin whatever you might have had by coming back." He said softly.

I sighed a little and finished my drink, getting up to go into work. It was just too much to think about.

She nodded a little,"I wish you had checked on me first, " she murmured, "I've put out so many reports, posted so many things online, checked hospitals every week.. even resorted to prisons," she said to him as she stood closer to him.

"I missed you so much," she whispered as she looked at him, not believing he was right in front of her.

He stared at her, "Please.. you're killing me," he said to her softly as he looked at her.

I stared at him. "I'm killing you?! I don't even know your last name and you don't know mine. I didn't know you two days ago and I don't want to know you tomorrow. I don't... I can't! Whatever you are or can do, I don't want to be a part of it."

He stood up to look at her. "I missed you too. You were all I thought of every day. I never thought you'd be angry though. I was sure you'd moved on."

"Please," he whispered as he looked at her and pushed a hand through his hair, "My name is Kim Jongdae, I'm 22 years old. I grew up here, and was raised here." he told her, "and when I saw you everything changed," he murmured as he felt his eyes water.

"Do you remember that night we slept in the back of your truck?" she murmured, "how I said I'd always love you, forever... and how I said you were the only one for me.. I meant it," she laughed weakly.

I sighed a little, shaking my head. "What changed? It hasn't even been 24 hours, what could have possibly changed?"

He pulled her to him and gave her a hug. "I never stopped thinking about you."

"You rejected me and this isn't some stupid half assed attempt to make you like me.. I'm being genuine," he murmured as he looked at her.

She buried her face into his chest, her body relaxing for what felt like the first time in forever. "I missed you so much," she whispered as her voice wavered.

I shook my head. "I'm sure you're a great guy. I'm sure you are. Just not for me."

He sighed a little and shook his head. "Do you want to get some lunch?"

"I don't think you understand," he whispered softly as he wiped his eyes, "but you will," he murmured as he moved passed her and walked out.

She nodded,"Yeah, sure," she murmured softly.

I watched him leave and rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I muttered, checking the time. I really didn't need to go back for a while so I decided to go back home instead.

He nodded a little and walked with her to a restaurant. "How have you been aside from everything else?"

She sighed,"Alright I guess, I lost the apartment and Taelor helped me out.." she murmured softly, "But I've been managing. I got a promotion at the job I was at," she told him ,"Twice," she murmured.

He nodded slightly. "I am sorry about that. I didn't mean to hurt you how I did. But i'm happy you're doing well at work."

She nodded a little,"I..I'm not over it yet, but I'll be okay eventually," she murmured.

He sighed a little. "Well I hope you'll forgive me."

She laced her hand with his, "Dont think too much," she murmured softly as she sighed a little.

He sighed softly and nodded. "I didn't realize how much I hurt you. I thought I was doing the right thing."
