Lila looked up at Mikkie came out with Orion. She smiled softly a Mikkie making the baby wave. She looked back at the food she was making. Mikkie was a dad, the good kind but she wasn't the good kind of mother. She hardly held Orion and only took care of his urgent needs so he wouldn't cry so much. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She would talk to Mikkie before bed.

Lila placed dinner on the table. "Dinner's done." she said. She slipped into her seat and took a sip of her wine. She was going to been some liquid courage for their talk. She had been feeling much better and it was past the recommended wait time after birth. she was hoping that a little wine, a little sex and maybe she could finally tell him what was going on. "I use to know how to make small talk." she chuckled. "Now I just can't think about anything worth talking about." she grinned.

Mikkie smiled gently and sat down. He watched her, and smiled, "well how are you feeling?" he asked softly. He took a bite to eat, as his eyes watched her closely. Mikkie had been patient with her, and understood she was still healing, but it had been so long since they'd made love together.

Feeling was a complicated question so she took a bite to think about how to respond. "Well I am hoping you're not too tired from today. Lila laughed smiling brightly as he asked if they should skip to dessert. "I don't think this will reheat well. We've waited this long a little longer shouldn't hurt." she picked up her wine drinking it as butterflies tingled in her belly. It had been to long since she had Mikkie inside of her and even longer since it was just her own body that she wasn't sharing. She was looking forward to it.

Mikkie nodded, "of course, let's finish dinner, It looks delicious," he admitted. He ate slowly, and keep looking up at her, he was glad she had brought it up, and wanted to share herself with him again.

Lila smiled as Mikkie kept catching her eye. She finished her food first just as Orion started to cry and she deflated a little. She closed her eyes and sighed. Mikkie made to get up and she shook her head. "I'll get him. He's hungry." she said and moved to Mikkie her hand rubbing over his back. She kissed his cheek before moving off to get Orion.

Lila sat in the rocking chair with him and helped him attach to her breast. She rocked him looking down at him. She was having a hard time relating to him but she loved Mikkie and there was so much of Mikkie in Orion. "You are looking more like your father everyday." she said softly and ran a hand over his head gently tussling the little soft baby hair. She furrowed her eyebrows and then looked up at the ceiling where they had placed little glow star stickers on the shape of Orion consolation and the big dipper up so that Orion always where where to find himself and how to get home. That had been the first night that made Lila cry. She had cried herself to sleep and she knew it had worried Mikkie but she hadn't been able to talk about it yet. Lila closed her eyes and started to sing softly. Once the song was over she hummed softly until she placed Orion back in his bed. She closed the door and ran a hand through her hair. She could be a good mother right?

Lila moved back and found Mikkie sitting there with the baby monitor near. She knew he had heard her singing to Orion. "My mother didn't sing to me as a baby but I wanted to be able to one day so years back I started to look for lullabies I would want to sing to my children." she explained. It was a sad song but it was hauntingly beautiful. She had sang it just because it was pretty back then but hadn't planned on singing it to her child but now she was.

Mikkie smiled softly and patted the seat next to him, "it was beautiful," he said softly. He put his arm around her as she sat down. "It put him to sleep, so I think he liked it too," he said softly. He kissed her neck, "So my love," he said gently as he pulled her close.

He looked at her, "are you still in the mood? if not, I'm more than happy to take a rain check," he said softly.

Lila smiled as he spoke about a rain check and knew how patient he was, that he truly meant it too. "You know he really wasn't that hungry tonight and my left breast is full... do you think you could held me out with that?" she asked knowing he would enjoy it. She ran her hand up into his hair.

Mikkie looked at her, and kissed her neck, "It would be my pleasure love," he said softly. He ran his hand down her shirt slowly, before lifting it up. He looked at her, "and then, after if you want we can play some more," he suggested.

Lila grinned and closed her eyes feeling his hands move down her body. He lifted her shirt off and she arched to help him. Once her shirt and bra where off she could feel him over her.
