Lila nodded softly and smiled gently. She couldn't ask him to miss more classes because of her. Besides he had mostly short days. Lila bit her lip gently. She wondered how Mikkie went to school at all when the option of an online school suddenly sounded so appealing.

Mikkie lay down next to her, cuddling up to her from outside the covers. "We'll figure this out," he said kissing her forehead. He was so ill prepared to deal with a situation like this, and didn't know what to say or do.

Lila nodded and sighed. It took her hours and a sleeping pill later to get her back to sleep but once she was asleep she didn't wake up again until the morning. Lila woke tears streaming down her face. She frowned and rubbed her eyes and slipped out of bed to her computer and started to email her teachers.

Mikkie was curled up next to her on top of the covers. He hadn't wanted to push it. He was exhausted as he'd tried to stay awake watching over her all night.

Lila smiled softly after emailing her teachers and sat there watching Mikkie. Even in his sleep she could see the rings under his eyes. He must have just passed out. She bit her lip and pulled a blanket over him. She sighed and headed to the kitchen looking around. She grabbed some food and started to cook for her and Mikkie. She out on the coffee and once she was sipping it she ventured to try some music. She tried her usual music but it upset her so she put on something different. She smiled as she put on Mikkie's music and found it oddly comforting.

Mikkie lay asleep dreaming about Lila as always. This one wasn't like the others though. He curled up having a nightmare, about her being attacked and not being able to help her.

Laila came back to wake Mikkie for breakfast and frowned seeing him curled up and whimpering. She crawled back into bed behind him and ran her hand up his back. "Mikkie. Wake up." she spoke softly. "It's time to wake up Mikkie. It's okay." she said and wrapped her arms gently around his waist then ran her hands up to his shoulders hugging I'm from behind. "It's okay." she said softly again.

Mikkie mumbled lightly, "no stop, stop hurting her," under his breath. He woke gently to her touch, and sighed softly, 'I'm sorry," he said.

Laila didn't have to ask what Mikkie was sorry for. She already knew as she pressed her lips gently to the back of his neck. "Don't..." she whispered her voice breaking a little as she held him tighter and hurried her face in his back. "Don't blame yourself... please Mikkie." she whispered just loud enough for him to hear and stayed like that for a while just letting them heal together for a moment her arms around him in the only way she was comfortable with for now.

Mikkie nodded softly, "I should of stayed at the party longer," he said softly. He reached up holding her hand, "We need to make sure those guys get what's coming," he said.

Laila shook her head. "No Mikkie they did what they would have regardless of what you did." she said and kissed his shoulder. She sighed and then sat up. "Maybe but just for now I want to try getting trough a meal." she turned back to him and touched him gently. "Come eat with me. I need your company right now." she said feeling like he was her only grounding root in this mess.

Mikkie nodded gently, listening to her. He sat up and climbed off the bed. He moved with her slowly into the lounge holding her hand. "what are we going to do about Chris?" he asked softly.

Lila smiled softly as Mikkie took her hand gently in his. She walked into the kitchen before she answered his question and sighed. "I don't know... I... I knew when it was happening that he was out of his mind. He wasn't making sense so I... I don't want to press charges on him." she said softly.

Mikkie nodded watching her, "Okay, how do you feel about seeing him?" he asked softly. He leant against the counter, and looked at her, she looked as pretty as ever, and it pained him to see her upset.

Lila frowned and tried not to flinch as she thought about Chris. "I'm not ready yet." she said and looked down. She knew she was going to have to force herself but this week she was going to allow herself to heal and to try to at least feel safe with Mikkie in every way she could. "Not this week." she said. "I don't want to leave the house this week or have company..." she said and looked at Mikkie begging him with her eyes for him to understand. If anyone could it would be him.

Mikkie nodded gently, "okay I'll let him know, In the meantime it can just be the two of us," he admitted. He held her hand pulling her close, "we'll get through this," he said softly.

Lila sighed and hugged his waist her head hurried in his chest. Lila closed her eyes as they stood there just the two of them. She was glad she had him to take care of her. Mikkie was her everything.

Mikkie held her close, gently running his hand over her back. He whispered in her eye, "ssh it's alright." He let her go after a little while, "what do you want to do? pajamas in bed and read?" he suggested.

Lila nodded. "Let's eat first." she said trying to at least do that. It was a struggle to even take care of herself. She had never realized how bad things could get until now and even now at least she had someone there for her.

Mikkie nodded softly, "how about your favourite then?" he suggested. He walked towards the kitchen ready to prepare her some food.
