Lila blushed. "You know I have made good food before." she said and giggled moving towards him and kissed his cheek gently.

Mikkie smiled, "yes I know, I was just surprised you'd already cooked," he admitted. He blushed when she kissed his cheek, "lets eat then," he added.

Mikkie hated seeing her hurt, and it was killing him that he felt so unable to help her. He hoped that it would just take some time.

Lila nodded. "So was I but I needed something to do." she said and then sat down with him eating the meal she had made. She only could stomach about half of what she had dished besides still being hungry she wasn't able to eat any more. Once Mikkie had finished she started to clean up finding the work both challenging and yet oddly satisfying.

Mikkie sat and ate with her, he smile softly. "It's nice," he commented, once she moved to start cleaning up he went over and helped.

Once they where all done Lila bit her lip. "I should shower." she said and then moved towards the bathroom. She showered then came out in a towel. She felt really uncomfortable and exposed but she knew these where hard steps she needed to make with Mikkie. She walked into their bedroom where Mikkie was and turned towards her closet dressing under the towel as she could before letting it drop and finishing pulling her pj's on. Lila turned to him afterwards and smiled gently. She grabbed a book and moved towards him. She kissed his cheek and tried not to flinch before crawling into bed.

Mikkie waited for her to finish showering, he'd made his way to the bedroom. He sat reading while he waited, then watched her change into her pj's. He blushed seeing her turn to look at him, and smiled when she kissed him. He looked at her, then went to shower himself.

He came back dressed in his boxer's and climbed into the bed with her.

Lila snuggled into him after a moment hesitation. She sighed and settled into her book. It was hard to follow the story when her mind was racing like it was but she just kept reading until her eyes started to droop.

Mikkie cuddled up with her, and slowly drifted off to sleep. He was finding it hard, not to be affectionate with her, but she needed time.

He drifted into a deep dreamless sleep.

Laila looked over at Mikkie and smiled seeing him asleep. He was being so patient with her. She took his book marked the page and set it aside along with her book before she snuggled into him. Laila fell asleep quickly thankfully and her sleep was peaceful for once.

Mikkie woke in the morning early and carefully made his way to the kitchen to make breakfast. He wanted to make sure Lila went to class today, she needed to get out of the house.

Laila woke and rolled over finding the bed empty. She frowned and sat up looking around. She yawned and ran her hand into her hair. It was cold without Mikkie. She stood pulling on her robe and headed out to the living room looking for him or a note. She heard him in the kitchen and smiled softly. She headed into the kitchen and stood behind him wrapping her arms around his waist from behind pressing her cheek into his back. "Morning." she said softly.

Mikkie was working away when he felt her hug him from behind. He chuckled lightly, "morning sleepy, how did you sleep?" he asked softly. He turned to look at her, he was glad she seemed slightly better this morning.

Lila smiled softly. "I slept." she shrugged not wanting to talk about the nightmare that plagued her night. She pulled away and sat at the table int he kitchen. "How did you sleep?" she asked him.

Mikkie nodded softly, sensing she didn't want to talk about it. He moved back to the working away in the kitchen. Today it was inordinately cold, so he was already wearing his hoodie, thrown over his pajamas. He sighed softly as he worked away on bacon and eggs for breakfast.

He looked back at her, "I slept okay, I'm just worried about you," he said softly. He finished dishing up breakfast, and walked it over to her, setting it down. He grabbed his own and took a seat. "You need to get out of the house, come to class with me today," he suggested lightly.

Laila looked down as he said he was worried about her. She couldn't comfort him right now. Yeah she had a lot to deal with right now and making him feel better was't really up there on her list at the moment. Laila looked up as he said she needed to get out of the house. He suggested classes and she frowned. "And if I see them there Mikkie?" she asked him and shoved away from the table not bothering to touch the food. "No." she said and headed back to her room. "I'm not ready to go out." She said. All she wanted was one fucking week off just to get her shit together. One week wasn't to much to ask for. She turned in her room looking at the four walls. He was right though she didn't need to get out. She was going nuts looking at the same four walls.

Mikkie frowned at himself, it was clear that he'd upset her. He sighed softly standing up and heading to her door. He knocked softly, "Laila, I'm sorry, how about we go for a drive to the beach or something?" he suggested through the door.

It was hard for him, he had always been socially inept and situations like this confused him, she was usually his compass for how to deal with things. He stepped away from the door slightly, "I'm going to do some cleaning, let me know what you want to do," he said.

Lila looked up at the door as he suggested going somewhere else. She bit her lip and sighed. She sat down and looked at the door. He was going to go clean up. He didn't know how to deal with this. She bit her lip looking around her room. He was right she needed to get out and the beach did sound really nice right now. It was the beginning of the week so no one would really be out there. She got dressed putting on a bathing suit flinching at how little it really covered. But she put it on anyways. One she was all ready she smiled. "Hey I think the beach is a really great idea." she said and smiled at him softly.

Mikkie made his way to the kitchen and began tidying up. He scrubbed away at the pan before putting the rest of the dishes into the dishwasher. He turned around when she spoke, and smiled softly. She looked good, "Okay, let me get ready quickly, I'll be right back," he said softly. He made his way into his own room, and got dressed for the beach.

They still needed to find another roommate, at some point, but Mikkie knew this would not be a good time for that.
