Mikkie kissed her back, as she kissed him deeply. He looked at her lovingly, "I know, I just figured by now, you'd figured out how much I love you," he said softly. He moved up beside her, "and that maybe me telling you all the time was getting annoying," he teased.

Once in the bedroom, he moved over to the dresser and began rifling through it to find an outfit to wear for school.

"It's never annoying." she told him as they walked into their room. She undressed then pulled on something to wear going to the bathroom finishing getting ready. Once they were ready she got in the car and they went to school. It felt so mundane to go to school but here soon she knew it would be a luxury she wished would be easy. She was starting to believe she was going to keep the baby, mostly because of Mikkie.

Mikkie grinned, "well I'll keep telling you it," he teased. He kissed her cheek lightly before they climbed out of the car at school. He moved around and took her hand, "if you need anything, if it gets too much, let me know," he said softly.

Mikkie was looking forward to their lives changing, his only prayer was that the baby was his. That way it could just be him and Liala, all the time.

Laila smiled glad Mikkie understood some days were harder than others. She walked with him to class letting him lead the way into class and she sat with him cuddled up to him. She tried focusing on the work taking notes.

Mikkie kept silent, being patient with her. He kept his arm around her gently as the class carried on. He was happy that she seemed calm, and concentrated on the lesson.
Things were beginning to feel normal again.

The day was a quiet one. In the normal spots were she would fill the silence by talking now she was quite listening to others. Luckily people still liked to hang out around Laila and she had Mikkie to help her get through the company.

Mikkie kept close to her, the silence from her sometimes got to him. But he just squeezed her hand tighter and smiled at her. "I should probably, get Lila home soon, it's been a long day," he announced to the gathering of friends. "We'll see you tomorrow," he added.

Laila smiled at Mikkie as he suggested they go home to their friends. She looked up from her zoning out and smiled softly at him. She looked tired in her eyes. She stood and followed Mikkie back to their car. Laila bit her lip. She knew Mikkie could tell when she was slipping into herself. She had been doing a lot of it recently. She would be silent and checked out only coming back when Mikkie pulled her back. She sat in the car and looked over at Mikkie as he started the car. She pulled her legs into his seat. "I'm sorry I guess I wasn't really paying attention today." she said.

Mikkie smiled softly, "it's fine I understand, you've been through a lot, I'm glad we got out of the house," he said softly. He began driving back to their place. He was worried about her, but was trying to keep positive, today was a good step back towards normality.

Laila smiled. She was glad he enjoyed their day. She went inside with Mikkie and went to get changed. Laila came back out. "What do you want for dinner?" she asked. She smiled at him softly. Laila ran her hand through her hair.

Mikkie had moved to the couch, and sat down. He looked up hearing her, and smiled, "Whatever you feel like making, chicken maybe," he suggested. He rose to his feet and moved over to her. He kissed her cheek lightly, "how are you feeling beautiful?" he asked.

Laila nodded as he suggested chicken then started to get everything out. She bit her lip as he asked how she was feeling and she looked up at him and sighed. "I will be fine Mikkie I'm just a little drained." she gave him a a reassuring smirk. Laila ran a hand through her hair and then finished getting the food ready and started to cook. She knew she would get through this but right now the baby was weighing heavily on her mind. She didn't know if she was going to keep it.

Mikkie nodded softly, "Okay, we'll have an early night tonight then," he said softly. He moved into the kitchen and began helping her with prepping the food. "So how was it seeing everyone at College again today?" he asked her curious.

Laila nodded thinking an early night sounded good. He asked how it was and she smiled softly. "Fine..." she said not knowing what else to really say. She just wasn't the same as she had been and it was going to be hard getting back there. Laila just wanted to spend her time with Mikkie and at home now.

Mikkie smiled and nodded. He grabbed her hand lacing thier fingers together. "Good, I'm glad, come on lets cuddle on the couch,' he said.

Laila nodded and moved over to him and slipped onto the couch cuddling up to his side. She closed her eyes and hummed. This was what she wanted right here, sweet and simple.

Mikkie grinned softly and cuddled up with her. He lay back, relaxing. It felt so nice, to be close with her. After awhile, Mikkie drifted off into a light sleep.

Laila woke and noticed she was curled up to Mikkie on the couch. She grinned and sat up slowly placing a gently kiss to his lips. "Mikkie take me to bed." she whispered her hand pressed gently to his chest. She loved Mikkie it was something about him she tried so often to put into words.

Mikkie stirred gently, as he felt lips against his. He looked at her, and nodded softly. "Of course my love," he whispered. He shifted, lifting her up, still so easily. He carried her to the room, and put her in the bed. He kissed her deeply, his love for her clear, and evident. "Sleep tight my princess," he said softly.
