Zacky walked out to his car, frowning when he saw Anna still sitting there.

Annabelle played with the hem of the top she was wearing as she toyed with her lighter in her other hand. Maybe it would be better for everyone if she just disappeared and died.

Zacky walked over and reached down, taking her hand. "I'm sorry," he said.

"You have nothing to be sorry for," she mumbled.

"Yes, I do," Zacky said. "I was too hard on you. I was trying to make your decisions for you because I thought it was best. But I was wrong."

"Well if I had listens to you I wouldn't be jobless and alone right now."

"I was forcing something onto you that you didn't want," Zacky said. "I shouldn't have been so pushy."

"You were trying to make me happy," she mumbled. "And I'm a dumbass who's addicted to wallowing in misery."

Zacky reached up and cupped her cheek in his hand. "Hush," he said, pressing his lips to hers.

Annabelle kissed Zacky back without hesitation, wrapping her fingers into his hair.

Zacky sighed contently as he pulled away, looking at her. "Do you want to come home with me tonight?" he asked.

Annabelle nodded.

Zacky took her hand and led her to his car, opening the door for her.

Annabelle got into Zacky's car, chewing on her lip nervously as she buckled her seatbelt.

Zacky drove her back to his place, leading her inside. "Make yourself at home," he said. "You know where everything is."

Annabelle walked into the living room and laid down on the couch.

Zacky sighed contently, sitting down in his rocking chair and pulling Icky into his lap.

"I thought you were gonna get rid of that chair," she questioned.

"I couldn't," Zacky said. "It's the chair I fall back in when I get drunk."

"You've been drinking a lot?"
