Jacob shook his head, he looked down as his phone lit up. When he picked it up and opened it his face dropped and he sighed, shoving it into his pocket. "Sorry to cut short. But I have to go." He pat her on the shoulder and smiled. "It was wonderful meeting you, Adeline. Remember to call me." Jacob said with a wink.

Adeline smiled and said, "It was nice to meet you as well. I'll be sure to do that." She smiled watching him walking away. She turned to look at her friend who was shaking her head softly. "What?" Addy asked.

"You said you were going to call him, and you think that's okay?" Jamie said, looking at Adeline closely. Adeline shrugged her shoulders, not really wanting to ask her why she thought it was a bad idea at that moment. Adeline was going to at least try to get to know the guy before judging.

Jacob disappeared into the crowd and out of the bar. The text from Ricky was warning him about someone on their territory from a rival gang. Because he was the best fighter. It was his job to get rid of them. After dealing with that Jacob went right home. He was exhausted and went straight to sleep. The next day Jacob eagerly awaited her call

Adeline shook her head. Jamie pulled her out of the bar, trying to get her home. "I just don't see anything wrong with it," Addy said as she walked with her friend. Jamie sighed, but didn't say anything. Adeline could see the wheels turning in her friend's head and was surprised that she was getting a lecture. The rest of the day was pretty dull. She worked on some new designs and went to bed earlier than she normally did. In the morning, she made herself a small breakfast and thought about Jacob. She smiled to herself, and decided to call him.

Jacob was eating toast when she called.. He purposely had waited a few rings to answer the call so not to seem desperate. When he picked up he had a very husky voice. "Hey there darling." Jacob was very excited to be talking to her, and that she called him. But he was doing his best not to show.

Adeline smiled when he answered. "Hey," she said in return. She could hear the friendliness in his voice. Then hearing him call her darling caused her to blush slightly. She wasn't expecting that at all. It was nice nonetheless. "What's up?" she asked, trying to hear him talk.

Jacob had gotten a few scrapes and bruises from his territorial fight last night, but nothing major,nor even close to some of the injuries he had faced before.

I'm so sorry I've been gone for so long, I had a lot of family stuff going on as well as school, work, and field hockey. I promise I'll be better with replying now

Adeline looked put her window curious as to what she should do. "Maybe. That actually sounds interesting," she said. She didn't have much planned anyways. She leaned on her kitchen counter and thought about what will happen with Jacob and her. She was slightly excited about it.

Hey, it's fine. I may not be on as much as I normally am. I have started a new job and I'm up on my feet a lot and I get sleepy. I will try my best to stay on top of this as much as possible. But I may be a little late on replying back.

"I can pick you up after I finish up my breakfast, or really whenever I don't have any plans until after nine tonight." He said and took another bite of toast. For some reason Jacob had an instant attraction to her, she had also given him the time of day, most people didn't. Some time alone in a place that isn't a bar he thought would be good, and her friend wouldn't be able to interrupt.

That's fine I'll only be on nights and weekends for the most part.

Addy smiled to herself. "That sounds pretty great," she said. She wondered lightly what Jamie would say about this, but she didn't really care about it. She knew that her friend wouldn't approve. There really wasn't a reason to bring it up since she could imagine what would be said.

I don't work the same day every week, so it's just when I can.

Jacob grinned and did a small fist pump, considering this a small victory. "Great, I can't wait to see you." He almost went to say goodbye, but quickly realized he didn't know where she lived. "However to come pick you up, I need a place to go." He said with a laugh, Jacob grabbed a pen and paper from the bowl in the middle of his table, waiting to write it down.
