Bucky smiled when he saw the SUV stop from having a flat tire, he had been checking his revision mirror to make sure the agents weren't getting to close to them. "Well done, Lucy." He complimented her although he knew she would be able to do it, he drove down the street that he had turned into before he took a few more turns here and there. He managed to leave the city without anyone else following them, it was only then he realised how exhausted he was. He hadn't stopped the past couple of days, he hadn't even taken notice of where they were when he pulled the car over. "I can't continue driving," He murmured as his eyes were so heavy and he wanted to welcome sleep, but he was focusing himself to stay awake so he could protect Lucy and get them somewhere that would be safe.
Millie felt much better when Steve told her that if she had given him some time, he would have responded to her kiss. But then he begun to ramble so she wrapped her fingers around his hand and give his hand a gentle reassuring squeeze, she just let him ramble until he was finished because to Millie it was adorable to watch. It also proved that he was the same Steve that he was before the serum, she smiled when he seemed to finish. "I'll go see the doctor and you should take a shower, I brought extra clothes for you to wear." She told him and pointed to where a duffle bag sat on the floor near the bathroom, she walked out of his room to give him some privacy and found the doctor. It took her some convincing but it wasn't long before she was holding the release papers in her hands, she went back to Steve's room so he could sign them and they could leave.

Whenever he smiled, Lucy was struck by how nice his smile was, even if it didn't reach his eyes. She found herself wishing that he would smile more, and she honestly sort of cherished the moments when she did catch him smiling, especially when said smiles were directed at her. "Thank you." She said quietly, a small smile of her own forming on her face. She found herself glancing in the rearview mirror every so often as they drove, wanting to make sure that they weren't being followed again. She didn't know how long it took them to get out of the city, though she glanced at the time on the clock when he suddenly pulled the car over. Glancing over to him, she frowned when she saw just how exhausted he looked. "I might have enough cash on me to get us a room at a motel for the night. I could check your arm there and we could both try to get some rest." She suggested.
Steve was still rambling on like an idiot when he felt her fingers curl around his hand. Looking to her, he smiled sheepishly, thankful that she didn't poke fun at his rambling. It was embarrassing enough as it was without someone actually bring attention to it. He nodded in response to her words. "Alright." He said. Once she had left the room, he got out of bed, stretching his stiff and slightly sore body before taking the duffle bag into the bathroom to take a much needed shower. The warm water helped loosen some of his tense muscles, and by the time Millie returned to the room, he was just walking out of the bathroom, dressed and freshly showered. "That's a good sign." He said, noticing the papers in her hands.

Bucky nodded his head but he wasn't sure how much of a nod his head did, he just felt like falling asleep in the car but he knew Lucy would still want to check his arm. So he slowly climbed out of the car as he was lucky enough to have parked near a motel that wasn't to far down the street, "I can rest." He murmured as he grabbed Lucy's duffle bag from the back seat, even though he was exhausted he was still going to be a gentleman and carry her bag. He scanned the area once again as he walked beside Lucy as they walked towards the motel, he'd let Lucy go into the motel to book a room as he wanted to be extra cautious. "Thank you, Lucy." If he had been on his own then he would have just slept in the car.
Millie smiled when she saw Steve had showered, "You just need to sign them. But the doctor did give me a list of things that you need to do, rest being on the top of the list." She smiled at him and she knew that was going to be tough, but she'd do whatever she could to make sure his body healed like it should. She placed the pieces of paper down on the table along with a pen, so he could sign his name. "My car is parked in the lot, so we go somewhere safe and work out what to do next." She told him as she figured he'd rest better if they started to search for Bucky as soon as they could.

"For what?" Lucy asked curiously, glancing over to him as they walked. If he was thanking her for paying for the motel, she didn't mind doing it. It was better than sleeping in the car, though she knew that she only had so much cash and that they'd run out eventually and have to make do with whatever they had. For right now, at least they'd gotten out of DC. "If you're thanking me for paying for the motel, I don't mind, honestly." She offered him a small smile before walking inside to book them a room. About five or so minutes later, she walked out, room key in hand. "I only booked us a room for the night...wasn't sure what our plans were after tonight."
Steve returned the smile that she sent his way. "You're really not going to let up on me taking it easy, are you?" He asked, chuckling slightly. He knew that she meant well, and he'd try to take it easy for her sake, but he still planned on doing everything in his power to find Bucky. He just felt like he owed his friend that much after everything that had happened. He signed the necessary paperwork, ready to get out of this hospital as soon as he possibly could. "Alright, once we do, I need to call in a favor to Natasha."

Bucky was thanking her for paying for their motel room, he had no money to his name so he wouldn't have anywhere to stay and he had already stolen a car. He didn't want to begin to steal just to keep himself alive, he knew Lucy didn't have much time so she probably didn't grab a lot of money. Although he was certain that they'd find a way to live, but right now Bucky couldn't concentrate on anything as he really needed to get some sleep. "We're using your money, I am going to thank you." He told her as she walked away towards the reception office, once Lucy walked back towards him with a room key he nodded his head. "We'll work out what we'll do in the morning," He assured her and followed her towards where their room was, once inside he placed Lucy's bag down before he pulled his boots off and laid down on the bed.
Millie smiled at him, "I'm not going to let up on you. I'll help you search for Bucky, you can still do that while resting." She told him in a stubborn tone of voice, so he'd know that she was meaning business about this. She watched his sign his name and handed the paper off to a nurse, "Of course." She knew Natasha would help out with whatever she could, she took Steve out of the hospital and to where she had parked her car. Climbing in she started the engine and begun the drive through the streets, she took a longer way just in case anyone decided to follow them. "I have an apartment that no one knows about, we can stay there for now." She usually used the apartment as an investment property, but they needed it more than ever now and she was glad that she did have it.

"You don't need to thank me." Lucy assured them as they walked to their room. She was just trying to make things easier for them. She didn't have very much money to her name right now, not that she'd made a whole lot working for Hydra anyway, and she knew that they'd have to figure something out once she ran out of cash. If they used credit cards or checks then Hydra would be able to find them very easily. That wasn't something that either of them could really let happen. "I figured as much." She shut the door behind her, making sure that it was locked before drawing the curtains shut. "Did you want me to look at your arm now?" She knew that he healed much more quickly than a normal human did and, if his arm had started to heal, she'd probably have to re-break and set it. She knew that he was tired though, exhausted really, and she didn't know if he'd rather wait on that until the morning.
Steve chuckled softly at her words. She was stubborn, but he could be equally as stubborn when she wanted to be. "You know, I heal a lot faster than you or any other person does. I don't need to nearly as much rest as a normal person does." He told her as he handed the paper off to the nurse. He knew that she wasn't lying though, she wouldn't let up, and he wasn't at all surprised by that. He nodded in response to her later words. "Alright." That would do for now. They needed a place to lay low for the time being, and that apartment was probably the best for now. "Once we find a lead, we'll head out. If Hydra knows we're looking for him, they'll probably be keeping tabs on us. We'll have to get some cash. I don't want them following us on any of our leads." He wasn't about to let them take Bucky again.

Bucky slowly opened his eyes when he heard Lucille's question, his arm did need to be tended to and although he wanted to sleep. If his arm was left in this condition over night, it would only be more painful for him in the morning when Lucille tried to fix it. So he pushed himself up into a sitting position, "Now please." He spoke knowing his bones would heal quicker, if they weren't already beginning to heal because it had been a few days since he fought with the other soldier. "Did you know my mission? The soldier I was meant to kill, I didn't." He told Lucy as he wanted her to know and if she knew anything he didn't, he needed to know. "I saved him," He admitted to her which was much easier than admitting anything to Pierce, "My head is all foggy." It was like he knew there were memories in his head about the soldier but no images were forming.
"I have money, Fury wanted to make sure that I'd be fine if anything like this happened." Millie told Steve as that was the reason why she brought the apartment, she had also saved as much money as she could since she was allowed to begin working at age sixteen. "We'll find him first and if we don't, we'll fight until we can get him away." She assured Steve as she drove a little bit longer before she pulled into an underground car lot, she parked her car and climbed out. She took Steve into the elevator that took them to the third floor, walking down the hallway she pulled the key from her jeans pocket and unlocked the door. Once they were both inside she locked the door again, "You can call Natasha now," She told her pointing to where the phone was on the wall, she walked into the master bedroom and grabbed the hidden bag of money.

Lucy nodded, walking over once he'd given her the okay to check on his arm. "Does it hurt?" She asked him curiously, wondering if he'd felt any pain or anything throughout the day or at all since the incident in DC. She started examining his arm, feeling around, though she paused when he spoke, looking to him. "I wasn't aware of your mission, no. I was never important enough to know any of that information." She did know some information about him though and about the procedures they performed on him. It was information that was in his basic medical file, information that she needed to know as his nurse. "What made you change your mind?" Her voice was quiet. She wondered if he knew anything himself, if he remembered anything at all of who he was.
Steve nodded. It honestly didn't surprise him. Fury was the type of person who was prepared for the worst. "I hope we find him first." He'd fight if he had to, and there was probably going to be fight either way, but he was hoping to get to Bucky before Hydra did. He was sure that there were still agents out there, and they were probably looking for his friend right this very second. He hated that, but he knew that it was probably true. He climbed out of the car, following her into the elevator and up to her apartment. He glanced around once they were inside, it was decent-sized, and it would definitely work for the time being. "Alright." He walked over to the phone, ready to call a certain redhead. He hoped that she could help.

Bucky had been in pain since his arm had gotten injured, but he was constantly moving and busy so he didn't notice the sharp throbbing pain. But now that he was sitting down and resting, the pain came rushing to his senses. "It is very painful, but I needed to get you to somewhere safe." He explained to her and looked at her as she checked his arm, "I'm not sure. I felt differently when I was fighting him, he continued to tell me that we had been friends." He was still so confused, it was clear to him now that the soldier had been in his life although that part of his life he couldn't remember.
While Millie was in the master bedroom, she also pulled out a duffle bag that held some clothes and a few important items that meant the world to her. She had learnt so much from being raised by Fury, she knew the perfect placed to hide things and what to do if he wasn't around. She walked back out only to see that Steve was on the phone with Natasha, she placed the bags down by the front door. She walked into the kitchen and poured two glasses of water, she left one glass on the counter for Steve for when he was finished on the phone. She sipped her water as she moved over to a large window, she stared out at the city and hoped there were still SHIELD agents in the city.
