I See Fire

Teegan sighed as she got out of her car ignoring Shane. They dated for like a month a year ago but they were both over it. He was one of her bests friends and she wanted to keep it that way and he did to at least she was pretty sure he did. It wasn't that he was a bad guy he was actually amazing and sweet and well just a little to nice for her.

Shane sighed as he got out of the car. Teegan was kind of out of it today so he was fine with just being with her. He walked over wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "You look tired." He stated though it wasn't that she looked bad it was Tee she never looked bad but you could see it in her eyes. But her eyes he could just stare at her all day everyday until the day he is dead.

"Ya long night." She said simply a small smile on her lips. "I have a couple tests today I had to study all night." She said though it was a lie she didn't need to study any extra she had them down she was actually at a party with people from another school. She loved to have fun but she liked to keep her school life and night life separate for the most part.

"Oh hey Lucia." Shane called out as they passed by her as they headed towards the school building.

Lucia smiled a little as she caught sight of Shane and Teegan. She had a sort of radar for Shane though he didn't seem to notice. She was okay with that as it was for now but she would admire from afar. As they approached, she tucked her head down slowly, burying her face in her phone, and lifted it when she heard Shane call out to her.

"Hey Shane...Teegan." She acknowledged them both though her heart was fluttering just because he said her name. Sometimes she wasn't even sure he knew she existed - at least, he didn't in the way she wanted him to know she existed.

She followed behind them, glancing up slightly to catch glimpses of Shane's face every once and a while. A boy, Taylor, joined in with her and she rolled her eyes. She could just tell he was after Teegan. She nudged him slightly and he zigzagged around.

Taylor fell into step with Teegan and smiled a little at her. "Hey there, Miss Teegan. How are you this morning?" He asked her sweetly, though with his usual bad boy flare oozing off of his voice.

"How are Lucia?" Shane asked a small frown on his lips when he noticed Taylor. He wasn't exactly a fan of his mostly because he could tell that he was into Teegan not that he blamed him but still she would be his. Taylor wasn't even her type how could he be. She was like this pristine little porcelain doll and he was well nothing close to a doll at all.

Teegan couldn't hep but roll her eyes at Lucia's eager enthusiasm of Shane an obvious annoyance for her. It was a little noticeable to her that Lucia was into Taylor. When she looked around for someone she'd often notice Lucia there watching Shane and it was cute she really hoped that Shane would take an interest in her or anyone it was starting to get hard to make up reasons why she wasn't home and she just wasn't ready to share that crazy side of herself with him not after her last attempt. Taylor ended up walking beside her and she smiled at him her usual sweet smile. "I'm doing great. How are you?" She asked before snapping her head to Shane. "This is where I leave you that is my building today." She said as she slipped out of his tightened grip thankful as he continued to walk away with Lucia.

Shane sighed as Teegan slipped from his grip stopping to continue talking with Taylor. "So where are you headed?" He asked as he focused his attention back to Lucia. He really didn't know her all that well though she was nice at least she seemed nice.

Teegan looked back at Taylor as soon as Shane disappeared within a crowd. She'd be lying if she said Taylor wasn't attractive or her type but she was fine with just looking at him. She'd heard things about the last girls he'd been with in vivid detail and she really didn't need anyone knowing anything about her sex life and the people she was sleeping with. Image was important maybe not to her but her family and she couldn't risk her family finding out about who she truly was so she kept up her act for most of the world and that would have to include Taylor.

Lucia smiled a little as Shane continued to acknowledge her and chanced a glance on his face. She caught him frowning when Taylor came up to Teegan and her spirits dropped slightly. As far as she knew - they weren't a thing... Though sometimes it was hard to tell with know when he always had his hands all over her. I didn't know what to think anymore..

"I'm good. How are you Shane?" She asked him happily before Teegan interrupted them and she relaxed a little, happy as she finally said she had to leave. Maybe he'd finally actually look at her and stop paying so much attention to a girl that wasn't paying attention to her. "I have to go to the liberal arts building.Where are you heading?" She asked him with a smile.

Taylor chuckled alittle as she answered him and then smiled, happy as they finally got to leave Shane. He wasn't such a big fan of him - and he could tell that Teegan was keeping something from him. He could almost see right through her - if only she would open up to him... He just needed to get her alone - away from Shane.

"I'm fine, thank you." He said to Teegan and then turned to watch Teegan. "You look tired - what did you do last night?" He asked her, wanting to see what she would answer.

Shane sighed as he watched Teegan for a moment Before looking back at Lucia and smiling. "I'm in the building next to it this morning I have psychology ." He said as he walked in time with her. She was pretty cute but she wasn't Teegan and that was always a big downfall. It was kind of weird talking to her not that it was bad but she usually didn't talk to him though he had a feeling it was because of Teegan. Maybe she didn't like her he wasn't completely sure.

"I'm doing good. We haven't really talked since last term." He noted with a small smile they'd had a class together and they talked a little but he didn't really know her. He really didn't try to get to get to know other girls he didn't need to he already found the one. But Lucia seemed nice and he wouldn't mind having her as friend.

Teegan laughed at his comment. "That's the second time today someone's told me that." She said with a sigh as she ran her hand through her hair. "I was hanging out with some friends from Western and it went on until 4 or 5." She said not completely lying but not really saying the truth.

She let her eyes run over him taking in his features. She bit down on her lip as she watched him. He was really hot and if she had no restraint she'd probably have invited him back to her apartment but she had a little restraint or she tried to.

Lucia smiled lightly and nodded her head as she watched him. "Well that's good. How's psych?" She asked him teasingly and walked slowly. Eventually they were going to get to the liberal arts building and she didn't want that to come - this was probably one of the few times he would talk to her - especially when Teegan was around. He seemed like he wasn't interested then...

"I know - it's been awhile." She said. That was when she had fallen for him. She was enjoying talking to him as much as she did back last term. It was nice to be noticed again and she sighed. Why not try... "Maybe we could hang out some time."

Taylor watched her, letting his eyes slide over her face and body quickly. "Well maybe that's because it's true!" he said with a chuckle and nudged her lightly, teasingly. "And what were you doing?" He asked her. He sounded sort of like a parent with concern and discipline but he just was curious...

He wanted to know what this darkness he saw in her was. There was something about her that she was hiding - that Shane probably wasn't even aware of - and Taylor wanted to be the one who could figure her out.

"It's going good. There are a lot of things I didn't know. It's got it's boring moments though." Shane said as he noticed their buildings approaching. When she offered to hang out with him he didn't think much of it just to friends
hanging out.

"Ya. That would be cool." Shane said with a smile as they finally reached the her building. He'd just decided to walk her the last bit of the way it wasn't to far from his so it wasn't a big deal and he usually walked Teegan to her class which was all the way across campus. "Do you still have my number?" He asked remembering the few times they had worked on project together.

Teegan bit her lip hesitantly. She didn't feel like lying but it was a lot to explain. "It would be easier if I showed you. I have similar plans tonight." She said with a sweet smile as she pulled her phone from her pocket. "What's your number?" She asked as she looked at him. "I'll text you a time and address." She wasn't entirely sure why she was planning on letting him into her world but she decided what the hell.

"That is only if you think you can handle it." She teased as she watched him curiously. She really wasn't sure what his interest in her was it might have been the whole seemingly innocent thing and maybe if he saw she wasn't he might leave her alone and she could go on with her little life.

"Of course." She said with a smile as he talked about his class and then internally frowned as they walked up to her building. She wasn't exaxtly excited at leaving him but he seemed happy about hanging out too. It always paid off to take a chance - maybe she would finally have a chance with him.

"Yes I do. Do you still have mine? Maybe we could meet up and do some catching up!" She said softly. She was happy that he might give her a chance yet. She was always shy - always had been and always would be but she hoped that maybe he would see through that and decide to take a chance with her.

Taylor raised an eyebrow at her suggestion and he smirked a little - he couldn't hold back the smug little smirk. She seemed nervous about letting him in but he wanted to take part and see what she was all about. There was nothing that would scare him away - in fact, it might actually make little miss perfect even more perfect to him if she wasn't so perfect.

"Don't worry - I think I can handle it, sweetie." He said with a chuckle and winked after handing her a piece of paper with his number on it. She was letting him in? That was exciting to him - and he was going to figure her out.

"You know I can walk you to your class if you want." He said as he looked at her. It wouldn't be a big deal and he didn't mind walking a pretty girl to class it wasn't a huge deal. She was really cool from what he knew of her which wasn't a whole not she was someone he would like as a friend.

"Ya I still have it." Shane said with a smile as he stopped. "So what class are you going to?" He asked his eyes on her. She had really beautiful bright green eyes and it was unusual but they caught his attention. He'd never actually really looked at looked at her.

Teegan couldn't help but laugh as he handed her a paper. "Do you just have random pieces of paper with your number to give out to girls?" She asked with a roll of her eyes. He was so smug and well she hated that she liked it and it made him all the more sexy.

"You sure you can handle it?" She asked in a teasing tone as she shoved him gently. "Well I gotta go I'll text you later with the place and time. Don't get freaked that it's just a lot we have to walk from there to the main place." She said as she took a step back and walked around him.

Lucia was so very excited when he asked if she wanted him to walk her to class. "I definitely wouldn't mind if you did." She said happily to him. It would be nice to see him for even longer.

"I'm going to a writing class. My dad never agreed that writing could be an actual major, so I'm double majoring with writing and teaching." She said with a smile, feeling shy for talking about it. She was still very shy about her writing and stuff - a serious insecurity, but she wanted to be open.

"No - just had one lying around for when you finally asked me for it." He said with a wink, unable to not be a little smug. It was part of his personality - and she brought it out even more in him.

"I don't know exactly what I'll be handling just yet but I'm sure I'll be just fine. I think it's cute that you're so worried about me." He said teasingly and nudged her back, nodding her head. "Your boy toy Shane won't be around for it, will he?" He asked, in able to avoid a little jealousu though he could tell she never brought him around.

"Alright then I'll walk you to class." Shane said as he held the door open for her following in after her. "So you're a writer?" He asked curiously as he walked beside her. He never knew if he would have pegged her as a writer though he knew that usually the quite ones usually had a lot going on in their minds.

She wasn't exactly what he had expected. She was sweet and cute which wasn't bad he'd definitely like to keep her as his friend. "So you're doing teaching because you have to not because you want to?"

"Oh so you've been so sure I'd ask for it?" Teegan asked with a small laugh. He was defiantly a cocky guy and she loved it.

She rolled her eye sat the mention of him thinking she worried. "I just don't want you pulling me cause you want to leave." She said sticking her tongue out playfully. "No he's not going. Do I sense jealousy?" She asked stoppong and turning to face him again with a playful smile.

Lucia smiled and nodded her head. "Thank you!" She said to him with a little bounce as he held open the door for her. "yeah..." She said with a blush. She didn't like to talk about her writing - it made her insecure and self-conscious. Writing was just her thing. It was the thing that she held all of her emotions, even subconsciously.

She giggled a little and shrugged. "I wouldn't exactly say it that way... It's not exactly that I don't want to - it's just writing is my first thing... But I want to inspire others too - so teaching wouldn't be so bad either." She said with a smile, glancing up at him, hoping he was enjoying himself as much as she was. She enjoyed talking to him.

"Yeah, of course I did think you would ask for it!" He said with a chuckle and shrugged. He couldn't help but be a little cocky - he knew what he wanted and he knew he would get it. He knew he was getting what he wanted - since she had invited him to whatever secret party she was hosting.

"Careful - don't tease me with that little tongue." He said teasingly. "Might just tease me into kissing you and biting it." He winked again and then sighed. "Sure - if jealousy is what you wanna call it. Just hard to put the moves on a girl who is constantly attached to some guy."

"If you ever allow anyone to I'd like to read some of your things sometime." Shane said as she smiled at her. She was pretty interesting and she had a passion or two he liked that. "So do you any plans tonight?" He asked as they walked down the hall. He didn't see anything wrong in hanging out today if she was free. It was Friday and Teegan usually worked weekends though he wasn't sure what she did anymore for work.

"If you don't did you want to hang out?" He asked. "Which classroom are you in?" He added as he stopped watching her for a moment. She seemed really happy and he wondered if she always was though as he thought back she was always happy and smiling around him.

Teegan laughed a little redness going to her cheeks. "Who's teasing who now?" She asked as she took a small step towards him. "Be careful you don't want my wild side to come out to early." She said with a wink.

She rolled her eyes at his comment. "That's not the first time I heard that but it's not like that. He's my best friend or closest and oldest friend." She said with a small sigh. It was a little annoying how everybody seemed to think they were together was it not okay to be friends with a guy? "You're putting moves on me Mr. Martin?" She asked with a grin though she was sure he was he'd never been discrete about it.

Lucia smiled and nodded her head. "Maybe sometime." She said as he offered to read her work sometime. That wasn't going to come easily though. She didn't like opening up to someone - for all she knew, he would pick on her for it or something and she didn't want that.

"I'm completely free - I'd love to hang out." She said happily. She stopped. "Two-ninety-seven." She answered his question about the room number. She was excited for tonight too much to worry much about class and what room she was going to - even if she was always excited for writing class. "So what would you like to do tonight?"

Taylor raised an eyebrow as she stepped closer to him and he couldnt keep his mouth from watering as he licked his lips. He wanted to just wrap his arms around her and kiss her right now, distract her from her classes.

"Yeah - well I think you haven't really informed your boy toy." He said as he chuckled lightly. He couldn't help but be a little harsh about it. "Oh yes I am - and I'm sure you don't mind me putting the moves on you at all!" He said with a smirk. "Don't even lie about you - you know that you want me." And he didn't even mean just sexually - he wouldn't mind seeing where things could go with her.

"Alright well I look forward to it one day." Shane said with a smile. "That's up a flight of stairs right?" He asked as he stood their watching her carefully his eyes focused on hers "you have really beautiful eyes." He murmured captivated for a moment.

He snapped out of his little trance as he thought. "We'll there doing like a parade of boats at the river and we can grab a bite to eat if you want?" He offered as he started to go to the stairs waiting for her. He wasn’t entirely sure what he felt towards her but he did like being around her. It was hard not to be in a good mood when she always was.

"He knows. We dated for a little bit in high school sophomore year I think. We aren't a good match." She said with a little shrug. They had both decided it wouldn't work they just didn't fit that way even if he evened her out he just couldn't handle her she'd tried to ease him into her life by taking him to one of her things on 'accident' he freaked out so she pretended like it wasn't what she thought. She missed a really amazing fight that night apparently some new guy took out the un-defeated champ.

Teegan bit her lip at his reaction. She moved closer to him her eyes focused on his face as she approached him. She got a brilliant idea and her eyes sparkled with a little mischief. "I don't think I tried denying anything." She murmured softly as she placed her hand on his cheek. She leaned in kissing him lightly on the lips at least that was her intent just a quick kiss and then leave him hanging but his lips were just so inviting she didn't want to pull away.

Lucia smiled lightly and nodded her head. "Yeah - someday." She said with a smile softly and then nodded her head. "Right up those stairs. You...don't have to walk me all the way up the stairs if you don't want to." She asked him seriously for a moment though she was really hoping he would accompany her all the way up as she walked to the stairs.

"Thanks." She blushed a little and some hair fell in her face in embarrassment at his compliment. She smiled and brushed it away. "That sounds like a great idea. Then we can catch up and talk." She said happily. That sounded like a great idea as a sort of date - she wasn't expecting too much from it yet but she was hoping that something would come of her. She felt so exhilarated just thinking that he could even be taking her out. She would take whatever she would get.

Taylor smiled a little and shook his head. "Not a perfect match with your boy toy?! Shocking! I'm just saying, he may have been in agreement with you but that doesn't mean he's over you." He wasn't going to lie - he wasn't exactly happy about it. Taylor wanted a girl like her all to himself - there was just something about her... He couldn't put his finger on it but there was something...

"Oh...oh really?" He asked her softly, teasingly almost, as she placed her hand on his cheek and he raised an eyebrow, surprised at her forwardness. That was surprising - he wanted her even more when she acted like this. Her lips pressed against his and she didn't pull away. Her lips stayed connected with his and he reached up, holding her cheeks and holding her to him, kissing her deeper.

"I think I can walk you all the way up." Shane said with a grin. She was really very sweet almost to sweet but yet not even close. He just wanted to be around her just a little bit longer. He wanted to figure her out.

"Okay so did you want to meet me or did you want me to pick you up?" He asked as they walked up the steps together. He frowned slightly as he noticed the were reaching the second floor and she said he class wasn't far from the stairs

She slipped her tongue into his mouth exploring it slowly enjoying the moment. She didn't understand at this point why she'd been holding herself back if it was like this. The kiss was amazing and she wanted more. The fact that he was holding her face was just so It just made the kiss so much better. She grabbed onto his shirt pulling him closer still refusing to break the kiss. She'd wanted to do it for awhile and she didn’t want to stop.

Lucia smiled and nodded her head. "Well I certainly don't mind at all." She said happily and slowed down as she walked up the stairs. Her classroom was so close and she would rather be late to class than to leave him at all. This was just too nice.

"Could you pick me up?" She asked him happily. "I can tell you where my apartment is - it's not very far away from campus. I could meet you somewhere on campus if you'd prefer." She said - she didn't want to seem like she was being needy or anything with him.

Taylor smirked a little and kept his arms on her cheeks, holding her tightly and smirking into the kiss as he was pulled in by her. He doubted that if they were alone they would have clothes on for very much longer - because the heat between them was amazing. There was such a sexual tension that had a need for release for so long and he was glad that it was finally happening.

He knew it couldn't last - not if he wanted to keep her coming back. He pulled away, resting his forehead against hers and breathing heavily. "You're going to be late for class." He teased and pecked her lips again, wanting to play if off like he didn't enjoy that so much.
