I See Fire

Shane smiled as he listened to her speak. He did know she liked writing but she was still a mystery he only knew a handful of things about her. "Okay so is that because you don't like any movies or you like to many?" He asked as he watched her play with her fingers.

"Are you nervous." Shane asked as he watched her curiously. He reached out taking her hand in his. "You don't have to be. I know you really don't me but anything you want to know ask and I'll answer it."

Teegan was surprised when she felt his but she didn't fight it. She pulled her body closer to him as she felt the kiss heat up. She wasn't sure she'd want to flirt with the other guys if he kissed her like that but all she had to do was get through the fights and then she could kiss him all she wanted.

"Teegan we have a small problem. Kyle had to cancel so I had to find another fighter ready in short notice that won't die with Travis. And um I only found one. It's Holt okay well you can have another five bye." Jason said quickly she almost didn't understand him. Her eyes popped open and she tried to pull away from Taylor to chase down Jason. How the fuck could he do that to her sure it was money but she didn't want to touch it if it had anything to do with him .

Lucia giggled and shrugged. "I just like too many - it's too hard to pick one that would be my favorite... Pretty much anything that has a good plot or comedy or romance or adventure I'm good with." She said and then blushed when he asked her if she was nervous. Of course she was - but she wished it wasn't so obvious to him...

She blushed as he took her hand and swallowed harshly slightly before nodding her head. "I know - but I'm not just nervous because I don't know you. It might be due to the fact that I never expected to be on a date with a guy like you." She fumbled over her words and then sighed. "I mean that all in a good way." She blushed.

Taylor was so enjoying this kiss. Her lips pressed against his felt so good and he pulled her closer, wanting to just take her away and keep him to himself but he wasn't going to get jealous because there was nothing to be jealous of. Then Jason came over and Teegan seemed to flip out.

He held onto her tightly and nuzzled against her. "Teegan, what the hell is the problem?" He asked her - now feeling jealous over this extra guy that was being mentioned. She didn't seem very happy. "Who is this Holt guy?" He asked her seriously, trying to calm her down and show his annoyance all at the same time.

Shane chuckled slightly at her reaction. It was so sweet and innocent but her words stunned him. What was so special about him that made her think that? "I'm not that great." He mumbled as he turned her hand over in his looking it over with interest though he was just thinking about her.

"What do you mean a guy like me?" He asked looking up from her hands. No one really explained why they wanted him other than the fact that he was hot but he had a feeling or hoped that there was more of a reason Lucia was saying that.

Teegan calmed down a bit in his arms sighing softly as she wrapped her arms around him. She really wished this didn't have to be brought up this quickly. But she had to calm down enough of her rage to not scream and chase down Jason.

"We dated once. I found out he was sleeping around and I just leave it at that. They don't need to." She murmured softly holding onto him and for the first time in awhile she started shaking in fear. It had been a long time since she was afraid of him though the nightmares still woke her up at night. "He told me that I was his there was no other option I had to deal with who he was or else. I-i didn't think much of it until he caught me trying to leave and lets just say it was easier telling everyone I got hit by a car leaving." She muttered clinging onto Taylor tightly. "I know what Jason said b-but stay with me." She begged looking up at him fighting back tears she hated how scared she was and how much control he still had over her

Lucia giggled a little as he mumbled and inspected her hand. She blushed a little. He wasn't so great? Of course he was. She was so glad that he had come out with her like this. Maybe she wouldn't be invisible to him anymore and they could have fun.

"I don't know... A guy who seems so perfect and approachable yet unapproachable at the same time... I mean - it certainly doesn't help that you and Teegan are always together..." She was trying not to seem jealous but at the same time she was...

Taylor held onto her tightly as she calmed down. He was rubbing her back softly and held her, wanting to kiss her and make her feel better yet also wanting to listen and hear about this guy that she seemed so afraid of. He just wanted to comfort her.

He ran his fingers through her hair and kissed her forehead. "Baby - he's not going to hurt you. I'm going to make sure of that... I will stay and never leave your side." He said with a smile and then sighed. "I hope you understand when I said you were mine that that's your choice - I'm not going to force you into anything, babe..." He said, feeling bad about what he had said now.

Shane sighed softly as she brought up Teegan. Why did they always do it? "She's my best friend we've been inseparable since we were in diapers. Our mothers were best friends too. And we are not always together." Shane said as he looked back at her.

"I'm here with you now and she's not here." He stated with a small smile. He was actually surprised Teegan hadn't crossed his mind as much as she normally did. Lucia distracted him from her which was kinda nice he wasn't worrying and obsessing like usual.

Teegan smiled gently as she looked up at him placing a hand on his cheek. "I know. I want to be yours." She said softly as she placed a kiss on his other cheek. She really did like Taylor and some how she got the feeling that beneath his looks and attitude he was very sweet, it was easy to tell with the way he treated her. She'd made her choice she wanted to be his she felt safe in his arms like nothing could hurt her and that's where she wanted to be.

She looked up at him batting her lashes before leaning in and kissing him on the lips. It was soft but it was more than just a reassuring kiss for her. It didn't just feel like a soft gentle kiss after a moment she just wanted to feel his lips on hers and never break the connection.

Lucia blushed a little. For a second she felt like she was going to be scolded for what she said and she didn't want that. She just shouldn't have said anything - and she knew that, but he was making her a little more confident and she wanted to be heard for what she had to say.

"I know you are - and I can't blame you for being friends..." She said with a blush. Was that all they were though? Sometimes it felt like it wasn't when she saw them together and she didn't want to be jealous of someone like that. It just made everything so difficult. "Forget I said anything." She muttered softly, looking away.

Taylor couldn't help a smile at her words and he wrapped his arms around her, leaning into her kiss on his cheek. "I'm glad you do," he spoke softly, leaning in to nuzzle against her. "And Im yours too." He said happily. All he had to do was protect her from this Holt guy and he would never let anything happen to her.

The way she looked at him right then drove him crazy and he was excited about her kiss. He placed his hands on her cheeks and drove her lips closer to his, wanting to feel the perfect pleasure of hers. She made him feel so good and he never wanted it to stop.

Shane smiled as he brought her hand to his lips placing a kiss on her hand. He supposed he understood it especially since he knew how he felt about Teegan but he hadn't expected anyone else to notice because well she never seemed to so he didn't think it was obvious.

"Shane." Benny called from the truck stopping him from saying anything more. "I'll be right back." He said as he got up moving to get the food and coming back with two bowls. "Okay you have to take a bite and tell me how you feel about the food."

"Good. I don't like sharing." Teegan murmured against his lips. She loved his kisses they seemed to make everything better and her mind kinda stopped. Suddenly all her fear was gone cause she had him there for her.

It felt like forever and at the same time only a minute when Jason came back in. "They are showing up so um... time to part." He muttered a little nervous that Teegan might flip and jump at him. Teegan parted reluctantly her eyes still on Taylor.
"Okay but if he comes near me I'm killing you first." Teegan said turning to Jason with a completely serious face.

Lucia blushed a little as he placed a kiss on her hand and she couldn't hold back a smile. He made her so happy already and she hoped that it would last.

When he brought back the food she licked her lips and nodded her head. "Okay - it looks and smells good." She said happily and took a bite, chewing it softly. "MMMMMM, that's so good!" She said, sounding as if she was surprised but she wasn't. It tasted just as good as it looked. "That's amazing." She took another bite, smiling at him.

Taylor smirked against her lips and chuckled into the kiss. "Good - I don't like sharing either." He said with a smile and held her tightly, liking the way she leaned into him. It was so comfortable and safe and he would never let her go.

He sighed a little as she had to pull away reluctantly and he kissed her forehead. "I won't be too far away baby, I promise... I will always keep you safe." He said with a smile. He didn't want to let her go at all, but he would if he had to. He wasn't going to keep her from living her life.

"I'm glad you like it. Benny has the best food in town." Shane said with a chuckle as he started to eat his food. Her reaction was genuine and he was glad that he brought her.

"So we have about an hour before the boats start." He said as he handed her a drink. "I wasn't sure what you wanted so I guessed." He said with a sheepish smile.

Teegan smiled at him as she took a step away. "Alright." She said placing her hands on his arms. "I have to go over there." She said pointing to a spray painted circle in the center of the room. Shesmiled slightly at him as she went to her spot. "You can let them in." She muttered slightly before snapping into her other face.

The people started to fill in crowding the space but she kept her eyes on Taylor. "Here." Jason said as he set a chair next to her and helped her get on so that the crowd would hear her. "Alright if you want to get the fight started shut the fuck up and listen to the rules. Once you make your bet you can't change it if your guy is getting the shit beat out of him. Don't shove people in the ring or you're out and if you win you won't see a penny of your winnings." She shouted over their voices. "Now let's get this shit going!" She yelled hopping off the chair as she went around getting the money for the first round . "Alright Kyle Kramer and Holden Feilds!" Jason shouted as The guys went into the ring.

Lucia looked at him with interest and nodded her head. "I can tell - this food is amazing!" She said with a smile and brushed her hair back before she took another bite. She leaned into him, wanting to be closer to him and she was glad to be with him right now.

"Any drink is fine with me - thank you." She took a sip and smiled. "Ooo, root beer, my favorite - you guess well!" She said happily and smiled up at him, batting her eyelashes. "Well shall we walk by the docks until the boats start?" She asked.

Taylor was a little more than annoyed when they had to separate - mostly because he was worried about this Holt guy and what he could do. He wasn't going to let him anywhere near Teegan but he still had to worry about her - she was his now and he was going to protect her. He stole a kiss on her forehead before he let her walk away.

He stepped back and kept his eyes on her. He didn't really care about the fighting at this point when all he had to do was worry about Teegan. Not to mention she was pretty sexy right now... She looked hot the way she handled all of this. It was hot.
