"I guess that means I'll be your protector tonight?" Ashton teased lightly, honestly enjoying himself. Most parties he went to, he didn't really enjoy unless he was drunk. Right now, he only had a drink or two in his system and it wasn't affecting him much - which was probably better, since he was now meant to keep an eye on Davina. "You're not going to forget about me being the best person you know in the morning, are you?" He quirked a brow, teasing tone still present, but he was actually curious. "Because, you know, I'm hoping to score some brownie points with this."

Aria couldn't help but to smile when she heard Luke's laugh. It'd been too long since she last heard it and it made her feel a little better about this whole confrontarion. "Of course it's still true," she chimed but sighed to his question. "It's not that I didn't think it would work, Luke. I just didn't think it would be fair to you, for you to see your friends with their girls but know that I was on the other side of the country. It was like I would be making you wait and I couldn't do that to you."

Davina laughed and nodded at his question, "Yes that's exactly what it means. Don't let me get slutty with anyone else but you." She stated with a grin. When he spoke about the brownie points, she laughed and shook her head, "I wouldn't forget something like that. You're getting all of the brownie points with this." She explained and winked at him with a smirk. She knew what she was doing, and she didn't actually mind that she was doing it because Ashton was hot and she was already tipsy, so she didn't care at all.

Luke bit his lip and frowned, "I didn't even get a say though, Aria. You didn't let me choose if I wanted to go through that or not." He replied back before taking a sip of his drink. He knew that she was just trying to do what she though was best for him, but he didn't care at that moment. He had so much he had wanted to say to her for so long, and he hated that it had to come out while they were drinking, but he knew that it all had to come out eventually. It just had to happen.

Ashton laughed and grinned. "Good thing we got that cleared up," he joked lightly, but his grin softened into a smile and he nodded. "I'm going to hold you to that, okay? I think I might be a little heartbroken if you forgot about all of this tomorrow," he chimed, tone still joking but he was sure that he'd be disappointed if she forgot. If she forgot, then he'd be just another guy that she shared a class with and he didn't want that. He wanted to get close to her and learn more about her. He wasn't sure that he'd get that opportunity if she forgot about all of this. "So, do you think the alcohol will make you attempt to seduce me?" he asked, his grin returning as he arched a brow and maybe he was more than a little curious about her answer.

Aria's gaze dropped to the liquid in her cup and she focused on it for a long moment as she tried to figure out how to phrase what she wanted to say. After a bit, she sighed and took a few gulps of the drink before she spoke. "I know, and I'm sorry," she told him before she lifted her gaze back to him. "I just thought it'd be easier for both of us if we tried to move on, so you wouldn't be stuck waiting for me - and, I mean, it must have been the right choice because you have a new girlfriend now. What if you had met her while we tried a long distance relationship? She'd be there, you'd be tempted and who knows what would happen. You got to be free of choices like that because I made the choice to set you free, Luke."

Davina smiled at him, "I could never forget about you, Ashton." She stated and nodded. It was true. She really couldn't. If it wasn't for the fact that he had two classes with her, it would be because he was different and Davina liked that about him. When he questioned her, she raised an eyebrow at him and smirked, "We'll just have to wait and see." She said before she got closer so she could speak into his ear, "But between you and me. I think that it might, and if it isn't the alcohol then it will be of my own free will."

Luke nodded at her words, still frowning, "I'm only with her because she manages to make me forget about you...well at least for a little while." He admitted. He knew that Danielle was only a distraction for him. Maybe at one time he actually really enjoyed being in her company, but he didn't as much anymore. Luke only stayed with her because if he didn't, he probably would be mopping about over Aria. He wanted to get over her so badly, but he just couldn't.

Ashton was more than a little surprised with her words, but he couldn't help but to smirk slightly in response. "What if I feel a little conflicted about responding to your advances?" he asked with both amusement and curiosity, though he shrugged slightly. "After all, I don't want you thinking that I took advantage of an opportunity."

A quiet sigh escaped Aria and she shook her head. "You really should be spending your time with her," she told him honestly before she glanced around a bit. "I mean, you got the answers you wanted, right? There's no reason to keep spending time talking to me - if she sees you, it will cause problems for you and I don't want that."

Davina shrugged at his words, "Don't feel conflicted. One thing that I know for sure is that even when I'm drunk and slutty, I don't do anything that I don't want. I don't "advance" to anyone I don't want to advance to." She explained to him. It was true. Sometimes she didn't remember when she had been drinking, but she had been told by friends that she always seemed pretty altogether when she was drunk, even with the sluttiness.

Luke shook his head, "I don't want to spend time with her. Aria, I just got you back and we are talking. I'm not giving that up for anything. Even Danielle. I don't care if it causes problems. She probably doesn't even notice I'm gone anyway." He admitted as he looked at her before taking a sip of his drink. It was true, he didn't care what Danielle thought at that moment. He was spending time with Aria and talking with her. That's all he's wanted for a while.

That was a relief to hear, Ashton decided, and he nodded to her words before he offered a smile. "Good," he decided firmly. There wasn't a guarantee that she'd make any advances, he knew, but it was nice to be aware of everything ahead of time, just in case. "Does that mean you might flirt with me in classes? I think I need to mentally prepare for that," he joked lightly.

Aria smiled slightly, though she couldn't help but be aware that she'd feel guilty if it actually did cause problems. Another part, a more selfish part, was happy to know that he still wanted to spend time with her after everything that had happened between them. "Okay," she said quietly, "If you're sure. Just try to avoid letting me get drunk, yeah?"

Davina laughed at his words before she shrugged, “I guess you’ll just have to wait and find out.” She replied with a grin. She stopped dancing and looked over at the kitchen where the keg was before looking back at Ashton, “Come with me to get a drink.” She stated before she took his hand and pulled him in the direction of the kitchen. She filled her cup and then quickly took a big gulp. She looked back up at Ashton with a grin, “You have really pretty eyes.” She blurted with a small blush.

Luke smiled and nodded, “I’ll try my best, but I give you no promises.” He joked before finishing off his drink, “So talk to me about stuff other than our past together. What classes are you taking other than the one we have?” He questioned her since he hadn’t gotten the chance to earlier what with him avoiding her and such.

Ashton let her lead the way, though he went aheaf to get himself another drink. Hearing her words surprised him, though, and he eyed her for a moment before he grinned. "Oh?" he asked, "I don't think mine are as pretty as yours, though. And your smile is gorgeous, too, not that it's surprising." After taking a gulp of his drink, he leaned forward and whispered, "The blush is pretty cute, too."

Aria laughed to his joke but nodded regardless. She was sure she needed to be careful with the alcohol, so maybe it was best to pay attention to it herself. "Well, I'm taking an art class," she offered with a shrug, "Plus, Philosophy, Composition and Sociology - and the class we have together." It would be a lot of work, but she figured that she could handle it if she stayed focused.

Davina could have sworn that she felt her heart jump into her throat at his words. She could feel the blush on her cheeks deepen at his words and she looked down at her shoes, suddenly finding them very interesting. Usually she was pretty confident with guys, but there was something about Ashton that threw all her confidence out the window, even with her being drunk.

Luke nodded as he listened to her talk about the classes she was taking, "That sounds like a lot, but they are all classes that I could definitely see you taking those classes." He said honestly with a laugh. He smiled at her, "I don't think I would be able to keep myself entertained during those classes enough to pay attention." He joked.

Ashton quirked a brow when he noticed her looking down and, tilting his head, he eyed her for a moment. "Sorry, did I say something wrong?" he asked, wondering if he had upset her. Perhaps he should have kept his flirtatious comments to himself, but he had really only been honest with what he had said.

"Yeah, I have the tendency to challenge myself a bit too much," Aria joked lightly but smiled. She knew she had to do it, though. If she didn't feel challenged in classes, she got bored and her mind would wander - normally to thoughts of Luke. And she couldn't afford that. "What classes are you taking, Luke?"

Davina's head shot up at his words and she shook her head, "No! No, you didn't. I just didn't want you to see my face look like a tomato." She replied back. She felt so stupid at that moment and could feel her face heating up even more at her embarrassment, but she tried to calm herself down a tad bit.

Luke shrugged at her question, "The standard ones. English, Math, History, and I'm taking one music class which I'm excited about. Then I have the class with you and those are the only two I'm excited about." He joked. He was really excited about his music class though, having always loved music and everything that had to do with music.

"Aw, but I'm sure it'd be worth seeing," Ashton teased, a grin stretching its way across his features as he eyed her for a moment. "I'm certain that it would be attractive, so you don't have to hide any future blushes from me, no matter how much you're blushing." Really, he was rather happy to know that he could make her so much, he realized.

"Are you and Calum still as into music as you guys were before?" Aria asked with slight amusement. "It's been a while since I heard you guys play." Maybe she shouldn't have mentioned that, she realized, as it brought them back to the topic they were trying to stray away from. Quickly, she took a gulp of her drink and said, "I'm sure you'll love the music class at least."

Davina giggled lightly at his words, "I look like a tomato. That's not something you would want to see, trust me." She said with a laugh before she took a sip of her drink, "I have a blushing problem." She stated with another laugh. It was definitely because of Ashton, though. He just made her feel different than any other guy had.

Luke smiled at her words and nodded, "Yeah we are. We still play together a lot as well. When we get the chance. We haven't really played in a while because of moving in and starting up of classes, but I'm sure that once we are both settled in we will be playing again." He explained with a grin. Luke loved when he and Calum made music. It made him feel like he was doing something productive.

"Oh, I definitely want to see," Ashton said with amusement. It wasn't just because he was sure he could tease her about it and make her blush more, either. No, he wanted to see her blush. He wanted to see how much he could make her blush and see the color painted across her beautiful face. "I don't think it's a problem. It's only a problem if it needs to be fixed or remedied," he teased.

"I'm not surprised," Aria said honestly, a grin spreading across her features. "You two were always having fun with music. It was nice to see you so happy when you played." She loved listening to him sing, too, but she was sure that was something that they shouldn't talk about, not when it came with memories. "You guys could try to play at some of the parties or something. It'd be ten times better than half the music they play here."

Davina grinned and shook her head, "No you don't." She said and finished her drink. She had always felt like she wasn't cute when she blushed or anything, but Ashton seemed to like it for some reason. She didn't know why, but that could just be because she didn't like the way she looked when she did, "But if you think tomatoes are cute then maybe that's why you like it."

Luke smiled at her words, "We always had fun with music, whether it was listening to it or singing it loud and obnoxiously to whatever we could find on the internet at the time." He said and then smiled when she spoke about playing at parties, "Well we would have to find people to help us because there is no way that we would just be able to play nicely with the two of us. We would need another guitar player and a drummer."

"You don't look like a tomato, though," Ashton told her with a genuine smile. "So, you don't have to worry so much, alright?" He grinned, hoping to ease her worries. He wasn't sure why she didn't like blushing, but he wanted to assure her that, really, she was gorgeous regardless of whether she was blushing or not.

"Advertise," Aria suggested with a smile. "You could post posters around that you're looking for a guitarist and a drummer or something. There are tons of students on campus, so I'm sure it would attract a bunch of attention and you'll find who you need in no time."

Davina smiled at his words before she leaned up and kissed his cheek, "I clearly picked right in you being my drinking buddy for the night." She said with a tiny giggle before she smiled at him.

Luke raised his eyebrows and nodded at her words, "You know that's not a bad idea." He said honestly and smiled before he snapped his fingers together and grinned at Aria, "You should be like our manager or something." He suggested and smiled widely, "You'd be great at it, Aria."

Ashton's cheeks darkened in the slightest, but his grin broadened. "Oh? Well, maybe I should be your drinking buddy from now on," he mentioned, though it was mostly because, if she agreed, it meant he'd get to spend more time with her. And who was he to pass up on an opportunity like that?

Aria blinked several times and stared at him. Eventually, she dropped her gaze. "I don't think that's such a good idea, Luke," she said honestly. The more time she spent with him, the more she'd be reminded of their past. Moreover, she was worried about causing trouble for him and Danielle.

Davina smiled at Ashton's words before she nodded, "Well I don't really like to drink a lot, but if I ever do, you'll be the one I will name as my drinking buddy." She admitted with a grin. There was no way that she was going to pass up the chance to spend more time with Ashton. She knew that she had two classes with him, which was plenty of time to spend with him, but she wanted to spend time with him outside of school.

Luke raised an eyebrow at her words and gave her a confused look, "Why? I think it's a great idea. Who better than to be our manager than the one person here who has known us the longest." He stated with a nod. He knew that she was just trying to not start stuff with Danielle, but he didn't care, and he knew that Danielle probably wouldn't get upset only because she knew that she wouldn't be good enough to do it herself.
