Charlie nodded at Fred's words and went over and sat with him on the couch, cuddling close to his chest when he pulled her onto his lap. When he spoke about Christmas, she smiled slightly and nodded, "Yeah I think I am." She replied as she thought about it. She always spent some of the Christmas holiday with the Weasley's. It was a tradition like all the others she had with the family, "I think the first part of break I go back with you all to the Burrow and on Christmas day I'm supposed to go home, so I can be with my family for the second part of break." Charlie stated.

Charlie loved spending the holidays at the Burrow because it was just so much fun to have so many people together for one occasion. At her house, it was just her parents and her little sister. They didn't have any extended family that they saw anymore. Both of her father's parents had died many years ago, and her mother's parents had basically disowned her for being a witch since they were muggles. It was sad, but things happened, her mother was still happy and all, "I'm sure your mum would kill you and I first before George if I didn't come back and she found out that you and I were together now. I could see it now. Her yelling at you for not making me come back so we could spend our first holiday together as a couple. What a sight." She said and let out a small giggle, already forgetting about her hand and what had happened in detention.

Draco nodded at her words, "Well that definitely would help with the whole privacy factor and not having people accidentally catch us." He replied and smiled when she said that not even Filch would find them, "Well good. We don't need that old man ruining our time together anyway." Draco joked and smiled at her. He really liked that they were finally able to find a place for them to be alone, and they didn't have to worry about being caught.

Draco laughed at her words and smiled slightly when she traced his dark circles, "I am exhausted." He replied in a joking manor. When she spoke again, he shook his head, "Don't worry about it, love. You did nothing wrong. I just get so worried about everything that I end up not sleeping over it." He stated and took her hands in his, leaning over and kissing her forehead lightly.

"Well, now we won't have to worry about anyone ruining our time together." Aubree said, punctuating her words with a quiet laugh. It was honestly the biggest relief knowing that was the case. After everything with Harry, she knew that they had both been a bit on edge, so it was nice knowing that they wouldn't have to worry so much anymore. "We'll still have to be careful coming here and make sure that we aren't being followed, but I think this will prove to be a much more suitable meeting place than the astronomy tower was." She also knew that with Umbridge cracking down on the rules at Hogwarts that would help as well. Some of them were bloody ridiculous, but so was that woman so she wasn't all that surprised really.

She rolled her eyes playfully in response to his later comment. "You're such an arse." She mumbled, shaking her head slightly. "I know, I just wish you wouldn't worry so much is all." She said, smiling when he took her hands in his and pressed his lips to her forehead. "Come on." She led him over to one of the couches closest to the fireplace and took a seat, motioning for him to do so as well and lay his head in her lap. If he wasn't getting any sleep at night then he was going to relax and possibly get some now. "What're you doing for the holiday?" She asked him curiously.

"You think? For Merlin's sake woman, you should know!" Fred teased, chuckling slightly. He as glad that he seemed to have successfully gotten her mind off of detention with that horrid woman. The last thing he wanted was for her to continue being worked up over that. He'd figure out a way to get back at old toadie, he didn't know how but he knew that he would figure something out. Right now he just wanted to make sure that Charlie was alright. She seemed a bit better already despite her hand that would likely leave a lasting mark for at least a short while.

"Mum'll be happy as long as you're there for part of the holiday." He said. Since he and George had befriended Charlie at school during their first year, the blonde had been coming back to the Burrow for part of the school break each year. It would be strange not having her there and he knew that his mum wouldn't be too happy about it either. "That's true. We'd definitely be killed first, but she'd probably find a reason to kill George as well, you know how she is." He chuckled once more.

Charlie let out a laugh at Fred's words, "I do know! I just have to make sure that my mum doesn't change any plans on me." She replied with a smile. Charlie's mum would never change a tradition like that especially during the twins' last year at Hogwarts. Charlie would be devastated if she didn't get to spend the holiday with her two best friends, "But if you keep yelling, I might have to change my plans and just stay home all holiday." She teased and stuck her tongue out at him.

"Oh she would definitely find some way to blame George as well. I think it's because you two are a package deal, so if you mess up in not getting me to come back for the holiday, then it's also George's fault too." She said and laughed when George complained about not wanting to be apart of their murders from Mrs. Weasley, "I'll be just fine if mum doesn't blame me for you two not spending the holiday together." He joked and smiled at the two. Charlie giggled lightly as she looked back at Fred with a smile.

Draco smiled at her words and let out a chuckle, "You know me so well." He teased before she spoke again, "I know you do, but I don't plan on stopping any time soon, so you'll have to get used to it." He stated before she took him over to the couch by the fireplace. He placed his feet on the arm of the couch and dropped his head in her lap, looking up at her with a smile. It was nice that they were able to do this and they could just be together like this without having to worry about people catching them.

"I'm not sure yet. I'll more than likely be with my parents, wishing that I could be with you." He said with a smirk and gave her a wink, "What about you? Anything special planned for your holiday?" He questioned. Draco loved listening to her talk. He could listen to Aubree talk all day about something he knew nothing about, but he would be totally interested in just because he loved hearing her talk.

Aubree knew that she wouldn't be able to get him to stop worrying, but she did hope that cutting back on their chances of getting caught would help ease his mind at least a little bit. She didn't like knowing that he was losing sleep, in part, because of their relationship. She wished that it didn't have to be so complicated. She wished that they could just be a normal couple who didn't have to worry about his family finding out about them and disowning him. She wished that blood status wasn't something that his family worried about, but she supposed that society was still pretty backwards in certain ways.

"Laying it on a bit thick aren't we, today?" She teased, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. She wished that they could spend at least part of the holiday break together but knew that it just wasn't possible. They'd have to stick to writing each other like they had over the summer holidays. "Not really. We'll probably spend Christmas Eve at my gran's and Christmas Day and Boxing Day at home. Might go into London with my mum and sister on Boxing Day, and then spend the rest of the break at the Weasley's." She said, threading her fingers through his hair as she spoke.

"You wound me, Rhodes. I can't believe you wouldn't want to spend part of the holiday in my glorious company." Fred said, feigning hurt as he shook his head as if in disbelief. He was only teasing of course. He knew that Charlie would spend at least part of the holiday with him and his family, she did every year. And he of course knew that she was joking too. "I wasn't yelling, love. I have no idea what you might be referring to." He grinned slightly as he looked down at her.

"Sorry, Georgie I think you'd be taking the blame just as much as we would if Charlie decided not to spend the holiday with us." Fred said, chuckling slightly. He knew that his mum would find some way to blame George as well, even if he had nothing to do with it at all. "This can all be avoided if Charlie chooses to grace us all with her lovely presence."

Charlie laughed at Fred's words, "I mean I guess it's fun to be in your glorious company." She teased and shook her head at him before she leaned up and kissed his cheek quickly, "Oh yeah. You not yelling? That's a sight I would love to see sometime." She joked. At this point, Charlie had managed to completely forget about everything that happened in detention, the writing on her hand was a faded memory until she went up to the girls dormitories.

Charlie nodded at Fred's words, "Yeah, when it comes to the three of us, we all go down together." She joked and laughed lightly. When Fred spoke again and Charlie let out an exasperated sigh, "Well I mean I guess I have to now so we don't get George murdered by your mum." She said and looked over at George with a pointed look, "Remember the things I do for you, Georgie, when you give me sass or you tease me." Charlie stuck her tongue out at him when he rolled his eyes with a laugh.

Draco smirked up at her and nodded slightly, "I only get like this when I'm tired." He teased as he looked up at her. When she spoke about Christmas and what her plans were, he listened intently with a smile. He didn't even make a snarky comment about the Weasley's when she mentioned that she would spend part of the holiday there. He didn't mind at this point, "Sounds like you have a lot planned." He said with a smile. Draco wished sometimes that his family was like that and spent a lot of time together on holidays, then he remembered how much he hated being in his father's company sometimes and changed his mind.

"Did you catch anything that Snape was talking about during potions?" He asked before letting out a long yawn. He closed his eyes but forced himself to stay awake so he could talk with Aubree. He was tired but he didn't want to fall asleep while she was talking, "I couldn't keep my focus during it. Too scared I was going to fall asleep as Snape was talking." He spoke.

"Mhm, sure. Use being tired as an excuse." Aubree said, rolling her eyes playfully. She liked that they were both a bit more carefree knowing that the likelihood of them being found here was very slim. One of her favorite things was just talking to Draco about anything and everything. They were both able to sort of forget everything else that was going on for the time being, especially everything regarding Voldemort's return. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to spending some time with my mum and my sister. And I'm definitely looking forward to my gran's cooking." She said with a slight laugh. Sometimes she felt as though she lived two different lives. When she was at home, her family treated her no differently than they had before she received her letter from Hogwarts. When she was at Hogwarts, things were immensely different, she only wished that she could share some what she did when she was home with Draco. She wanted him to meet her family, she knew that they wouldn't judge him for who his family was, and that they'd like him as much as she did, but she knew that simply wasn't possible. Not with who his family was and certainly not with Voldemort on the rise again.

"I had a feeling you were going to ask me that. You can copy my notes later on if you'd like." She told him, continuing to run her fingers through his hair. "You can sleep now if you'd like. I won't mind. I'll wake you in a little while."

Fred placed a hand over his heart and shook his head. "That hurts, Charlie, it really does. I figured you'd be certain about enjoying my splendid company." He said. He was happy to see her laughing and smiling again, he'd done exactly what he had hoped to do. It was clear that the last thing on her mind in that moment was Umbridge. That didn't mean he wouldn't try to find a way to get back at the old hag later on because he was certain that he would. He wasn't going to allow her to get away with this if he had anything to say about it. "I don't know if I can take this verbal abuse any longer, Charlotte." He shook his head once more. "You're really doing a number on my ego."

"Are you saying that you're only coming to visit during the holiday because of me? Aw, how sweet, Charlie. I suppose you've realized who the better looking twin is by now, eh?" George asked, smirking slightly. "And now you're choosing my brother over me! How could you betray me like this Charlie? Unbelievable." Fred shook his head.

Charlie laughed at Fred's words and shook her head, "I do enjoy your company! Most of the time." She teased. When he spoke again about his ego, she let out another laugh, "Your ego go use a few knocks to it anyway." Charlie said and smiled at him, "You're just getting beat up all over the place, Freddie!" George stated with a laugh.

When George spoke again, Charlie smiled and threw him a play wink before Fred said how she was choosing his brother over him, "I just can't help myself." She teased before she poked his cheek, "Don't be like that, Fred. You know you've always been my second favorite Weasley. After your mum of course." She said and kissed his cheek once more, "Ugh you two are gross." George teased before he and Lee started to pretend throw up, "Oh Georgie, you're just jealous, don't deny it." Charlie replied with a laugh.

Draco smiled at her words, "Well I'm glad you're excited for your holiday." Draco said. When Aubree said how he can copy her notes later, he smiled at her and sent her a quick wink, "See this is why I keep you around, you know me so well." He joked before she told him that he could sleep, "Are you sure?" He asked as he peaked up at her, "Because I know this is our time together and I would hate that I just sleep and you not have anything to do or anyone to talk to." He said.

He could already feel himself starting to get more tired just because of the feeling of her running her fingers through his hair. It was something that she did sometimes and Draco just loved the moments when she did. It was quite a different feeling than he was used to, but he really liked the feeling he got when she did it.

"More like you keep me around so that you can copy my notes whenever you decide not to pay attention in class." Aubree teased, punctuating her words with a playful roll of her eyes. She nodded in response to his later words. "Of course I'm sure, you look exhausted, love. Get some sleep, I really won't mind." She reassured him as she continued running her fingers through his hair. She knew why he'd ask if she really was okay with it considering it was their time together, but she also knew her note had left him sleep deprived and she wasn't going to be upset if he fell asleep on her. He already kind of was anyway.

"I'll wake you when it's time for us to head to class." She knew that he'd skipped his class to spend time with her after potions, so that meant neither of them had anything until the afternoon now.

"Oi! There's nothing wrong with my ego!" Fred exclaimed. He wasn't actually offended by anything that his girlfriend or his brother were saying. He was just glad that Charlie was smiling and laughing again. He'd been extremely worried when she'd walked into the common room as upset as she was earlier. "Is today pick on Fred day or something? This is bloody ridiculous!" He shook his head as if in disbelief. "I can't believe my own girlfriend is saying such horrid things to me. i don't know what I did to deserve this kind of abuse."

"I was only joking, love. I know you think I'm the better looking twin." Fred chuckled slightly and smiled when she kissed his cheek. "Sorry, Georgie. She still thinks I'm the attractive one." He rolled his eyes when Lee and George both started gagging and complaining about him and Charlie. "Oi, you two wanted us to get together. Now we are, I don't want to hear any complaints from either of you."

Charlie let out a giggle at Fred's words, "Whatever you say, Fred." She teased before he asked if it was pick on Fred day, "I didn't think it was, but now that you've said something, you might be right and I just forgot to mark it on my calendar." She replied and smiled at him. If she was thinking about it, she would have been grateful for Fred getting her mind off the detention, but she hadn't been thinking about it, which was a really good thing because she was in such a better mood now that she wasn't thinking about it.

Charlie nodded in agreement at Fred's words, "Yeah what he said." She laughed and smiled widely at Fred, "They're just jealous because they're alone." She teased. Charlie knew in reality that George and Lee weren't really alone because the four of them still acted the same as they did before Fred and Charlie started dating, minus the fact that Fred and Charlie could now use PDA in front of the two of them.

Draco smiled at his girlfriend before he closed his eyes once more, "Well then if you're sure." He said and got more comfortable, keeping his head on Aubree's lap, "Don't forget. I wouldn't want you to miss any of your classes or anything." He stated. He could feel himself already drifting asleep and soon he was out, grateful for the blissful sleep that came over him. It was even better that he was with Aubree instead of just in the dormitories thinking about being with her.

"I'm positive, Draco." Aubree assured him once more. She really wouldn't mind if he slept for a little while, in fact, it would put her mind a bit at ease since she still felt kind of bad for causing him to toss and turn so much the night before because of her note. "I'll remember to wake you, I promise." She smiled, unable to help finding it rather amusing that he would skip class to spend time with her but didn't want her to skip class to spend time with him. It really didn't come as much of a surprise to her though if she was being completely honest. She glanced down and smiled when she saw that he had drifted off to sleep, continuing to run her fingers through his hair lightly as she took notice.

"I wasn't aware that it was a national holiday now." Fred said, rolling his eyes slightly. "It is, I guess you just didn't get the memo, Freddie." George chimed in, a cheeky grin tugging at the corners of his lips. Fred didn't say anything in response and simply shook his head. "Sometimes I wonder why I put up with the two of you." He chuckled slightly, obviously only joking. George was his brother and Charlie wasn't just his girlfriend, she was his best friend, and they both meant a great deal to him. "I couldn't agree with you more, love. I couldn't agree with you me." He said in response to his girlfriend's later words about Lee and George being jealous because they were alone.

Charlie grinned when George continued to tease Fred before Fred wondered why he put up with the two of them, "Because your life would be dull without us, and you know it." She replied with a laugh. When he agreed with her words, she smiled before letting out a bit of a yawn, "I'm quite knackered all of a sudden. I guess it was the picking on you that really did it." She joked before yawning once more and standing up, "Welp, I think I'm going to head up to bed. Goodnight, boys." She said to George and Lee before looking at Fred, "Walk me up?" She questioned with a smile.

Aubree was glad that her boyfriend was able to finally get some sleep. She knew that this whole situation had been taking its toll on him, so she really didn't mind him sleeping while they were to be spending time together. She let him sleep for quite a while, and even considered not waking him so that she could go to her next class, however she knew that he would be upset if she did that. Rather reluctantly, she started lightly shaking one of his shoulders. "Wake up, love." She said quietly, not wanting to startle him awake too quickly.

"My life would be rather pleasant without you two actually." Fred countered, though he was still obviously joking. He was just glad to see Charlie back to her normal, smiling-self. Even if that meant she and George were ganging up to him like they normally would. He rolled his eyes playfully in response to her later words but stood up as well. "Our product planning will have to be put off until tomorrow, gentlemen. The lady requires an escort to her bed chamber." He said, grinning slightly as he took Charlie's hand in his and started walking towards the staircase that led up to the girl's dormitories.

Charlie grinned at Fred's words before she laced her fingers with his as they walked up to the girl's dormitories, "Thank you for making me feel better, Freddie." Charlie said once they had reached the door. She knew now what his plan had been from the start in getting her mind off of it so she didn't think about the pain. She leaned up and kissed him gently with a smile before pulling away, "It means a lot." She stated and looked down at their hands. She didn't ever think she could be this happy after something so horrible had happened to her like her detention with Toadie, but here she was, smiling away.

Draco almost didn't wake up when Aubree shook him, but he slowly blinked open his eyes then rubbed the sleep from his eyes, "Hello, love." He said with a smile as he looked up at her, "I didn't snore, did I?" He joked as he sat up slowly and tried his best to wake himself up. He smiled lightly over at Aubree, "Thank you for waking me up. I wouldn't want you to miss class."

"Oh you were absolutely terrible! I could barely stand it!" Aubree teased, smiling down at him. She could tell that he was definitely a bit more well-rested than he had been before, and that was honestly a bit of a relief for her. "I almost didn't, but I knew you'd be upset if I missed class." She honestly would have rather been spending time with him than sitting through History of Magic, but she also knew that her friends would notice if she wasn't there. She had told them that she was going to the library after Potions, and could have easily told them that she had lost track of time, but she figured with Harry already being suspicious as it was that that probably wasn't the best idea.

"I'm just happy that you got some rest. You don't look so horrid anymore." She teased lightly, punctuating her words with a quiet laugh.

"Any time, love. It's kind of my job as your best friend and your boyfriend, don't you think?" Fred reminded her with a smile. He was just glad that he'd managed to get her mind off of everything with Umbridge for the time being and that he was still able to make her smile and laugh despite how upset she'd been when she'd first walked into the common room that evening. He smiled and kissed her back softly, nodding in response to her later words. "I'm just glad that you're doing better now." He said, pushing some of her hair back behind her ear and out of her face.

Charlie smiled widely at his words before she nodded in agreement. She couldn't stop the blush that formed on her face when he pushed the hair behind her ear. She leaned up and kissed him once more with a smile. When she pulled away, she grinned at him, "Goodnight, Fred." She said happily before she let go of his hand and gave him one last smile then turned and headed into the girl dormitories. Once she laid down on her bed, a giant grin broke out on her face as she thought about how lucky she was to be in a relationship with her best friend.

Draco rolled his eyes at her words, "I can't believe you would just lie to me like that. I know that I don't snore." He said with a matter-of-fact tone before he smiled at her. When she spoke again, he nodded, "You're right. I would have. Your education is important, love." He lectured and grinned. He knew that she was so smart, she could skip class and still manage to pass with one of the highest grades in the class, but he wanted to make sure that failing wasn't even an option for her. When she spoke, he rolled his eyes lightly, "I didn't look that bad!"

"How could you possibly know if you're asleep?" Aubree asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. "Says the person who is willing to skip class to spend time with you." She shot a pointed look his way in response to his lecturing though she smiled a few moments later. She was happy that they got to spend time together, but wished that he wouldn't skip out on class as much as he did just so that they could do so. "You clearly didn't look in the mirror at all this morning then." She teased, letting out a quiet laugh soon after before leaning up to kiss his cheek. "I'm only teasing, love."

Fred smiled and kissed her back, drawing her in closer to him as he did so. "Goodnight, Charlie." He said, smiling at her before he turned and made his way back down to the common room. He was glad that he'd managed to distract his girlfriend for a while, but was certain that he wasn't going to let this one slide. He was going to make sure that he god old Toadie back for hurting Charlie and making her cry the way that she had. She definitely was not going to get away with this at all.

The next morning Charlie got up slowly and started to get ready for her day. She had taken a quick glance down at her hand to see what was left of her detention with Toadie, only to see that you could no longer see the words, it was just one giant blotch of raised redish skin. Charlie frowned before she finished putting on her Gryffindor tie and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Once she spotted Fred and George, she smiled, quickly sitting down next to them, "Morning, boys." Charlie greeted happily before she started to pile food onto her plate.

Draco laughed at her words, "Because I know for a fact that I don't snore. I just know." He replied with a grin. When she replied to his lecturing, he shrugged, "I don't mind. I don't pay attention much anyway." He said. It wasn't a huge lie, but it wasn't very true. He usually good decent grades and didn't screw up that often. When she teased him about the way he looked, he scoffed, "I look perfect every day, I have no idea what you're talking about." Draco joked. He smiled when she kissed him on the cheek, "I know, I know." He replied.

"Alright, if you just know then it must be true." Aubree said sarcastically, punctuating her words with a slight roll of her eyes. "That's bullshit. I'm pretty sure that the detailed notes you have for just about every single class says otherwise." Aubree knew that her boyfriend's grades were decent. He sometimes helped her with some of her classes, though those meet-ups never really strictly stayed study sessions. "You're so full of it sometimes, I swear." She shoved him lightly, letting out a quiet laugh. "We should probably get going. I'm sure you wouldn't want me to be late to History of Magic."

Fred made his way down to the Great Hall with Lee and George the next morning for breakfast. They were only sat there for maybe five or ten minutes before Charlie showed up. Glancing over to his girlfriend when she took a seat next to him and George, Fred smiled. "Good morning, love." Fred said, pressing a kiss to her cheek which caused both George and Lee to groan. "For Merlin's sake can you two not do that now? This is where we all eat!" George complained.

Charlie smiled when Fred kissed her cheek, before rolling her eyes at George's words, "What was that, Georgie, you want more PDA from Fred and I in front of you and Lee while you eat? Well I mean if you insist." She stated before turning toward Fred, "No stop!" Lee yelled and looked over at George, "Do you not understand that the more you complain, the more they're going to do it!" Lee scolded George as he gave him a 'duh' look. Charlie nodded in agreement as she looked at her friend, "He's right, George. Honestly, you thin you would know that by now."

Draco laughed and nodded, "Exactly. Because I'm always right." He said with a smirk. When she called him out on his lie, he laughed, "I know. I know trust me." He said in agreement and stood up once she brought up leaving, "As much as I don't want to, I don't want you to miss your class." Draco said as he stuck out his hand for her. Once she stood, he kissed her quickly, "I'm glad you found this place, Aubree. It's nice to finally not have to worry about getting caught by someone." He said once he had pulled away from her.

"Oh that is so far from true, and you know it!" Aubree exclaimed, unable to help laughing as she did so. "I figured as much." She said in response to his later words. When he stood up and held his hand out for her she smiled and took it before standing as well, smiling a bit more when he kissed her. "I'm really glad that I found it too. I guess we'll meet here around the same time tomorrow then?" This time of day seemed to work out perfectly. Harry was too preoccupied with class and other things to pay too much mind to her going off on her own, or so she hoped anyway.

"I'm going to have to agree with these two on this one, Georgie. The more you complain, the more we're going to do it." Fred said, punctuating his words with a slight shrug of his shoulders as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "If you want us to stop, then I would consider not saying anything when it happens. Then Charlie and I won't pay any mind to it and realize if it's bothering you or not." If they could get a rise out of him, they'd do it. It was just like when they hid fake spiders for Ron to find. It was too perfect of an opportunity to pass up.
