it's hurting you, but it's killing me

Emma stayed in the shower until the water started to get cold. She wasn't eager to go out and be around Zacky, but she knew he'd get angry if she took too long.

"Well so are you," Matt shot back. He clenched his hands into fists. "I really just wanna hit you sometimes."

Zacky sighed as he got up and started to get dressed. He rubbed the back of his neck as he looked in the mirror.

Lennox watched him, "You already do." She whispered.

After Emma was dressed and had blow-dried her hair, she grabbed her phone from the counter and headed downstairs.

Matt pressed his lips into a flat line. "I do not," he said.

Zacky took a shower and got ready for the day. He walked downstairs and got himself something to eat.

Lennox watched him, "Well you have." She explained.

Emma sat down on the couch and pulled up her text messages. Hey do you have plans today? she texted Lennox.

"I have not!" Matt shouted. He didn't understand why Lennox would accuse him of something like that.

Lennox frowned, "Yes you have!" She yelled at him. She sat up, looking over as her phone went off. She looked at her text and answer it.

Zacky sighed as he sat at the table and started to eat.

While she waited for a response, Emma decided to watch a little TV. She picked up the remote and started flipping through the channels, finally stopping a random cooking show.

"Don't fucking ignore me," Matt growled. He reached over and knocked Lennox's phone out of her hands.

Lennox glared at him, "Don't fucking touch my stuff Matthew!" She snapped at him. She pushed his hand away, "You are out of control anymore!" She yelled.

Zacky walked into the living room, "I'm going ot the store. Do you need anything?" He asked.

Emma thought for a second. "A few things, actually," she answered. "Could I come with you?" She knew that Zacky taking her with him was a long shot, but she still had to ask.

Matt felt his anger finally boil over. He got out of bed and stumbled over to Lennox's side, reaching down and grabbing her wrist. He yanked her hard, pulling her out of the bed.

Zacky thought about it, "Sure you can come." He said. He figured he would at least give it a shot and try to be nice.

Lennox screamed as he pulled her out of the bed, "Get off of me!" She yelled as she tried to get out of his grasps.

"Alright, I just need to grab my wallet," Emma said. She hurried upstairs to the bedroom and grabbed her wallet off of the dresser before going back downstairs to meet Zacky.

"Fine," Matt said. He dropped Lennox's wrist, giving her a hard shove onto the ground. She hit the nightstand, causing the lamp to topple over.

Zacky got his keys as he waited. When he came down he walked to the car and got in. "So what all do you need?" He asked.

Lennox gasped as her head hit the nightstand. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she touched her head. She looked at her fingers seeing blood.

"Just a few things," Emma answered vaguely. In all honestly she didn't really need anything - except maybe a box of tampons - but she wanted to get out of the house.

Matt felt his anger drain away when he saw that Lennox was bleeding. He crouched down in front of her. "Lennox, I'm s'sorry," he mumbled, reaching for her.

Zacky nodded, "Okay i was just curious." He said. He pulled up to the store and got out. He walked with her and got a basket.

Lennox pushed him away, "Get away from me!" She snapped. She got up slowly and went to the bathroom. She grabbed a washcloth and tried to clean the blood off of her head.

"I'm gonna run and grab something real quick," Emma said, heading off in the direction of the feminine products. As she walked, she slipped her phone out of her pocket.

Matt watched Lennox walk into the bathroom and slowly got to his feet, following after her. The door wasn't locked, so he went into the bathroom with her. "Lennox," he said.

Zacky walked around and got a few groceries. He frowned when he didn't see Emma anywhere.

Lennox frowned, "I said go away Matt." She muttered. She frowned at the cut on her head.

Whenever you get the chance, text me, Emma texted Lennox. She was a little concerned that she hadn't heard from her friend, but she was sure Lennox was just still asleep.

"Let me help you," Matt said softly. But he didn't move any closer to Lennox. Somehow he sensed that she didn't want him anywhere near her.

Zacky shook his head and began to put all of his stuff that he needed in the basket. He walked through the store, not worried about where she went to.

Lennox looked at him, "Go away." She snapped. "You've clearly done enough." She muttered.

"Hey, sorry I disappeared," Emma apologized. She slipped a box of tampons into the cart. Looking up at Zacky, she asked, "Do you wanna go get something to eat after this?"

"I'm just tryna help you," Matt mumbled, his voice strained. He was starting to get angry again. He knew it was his fault Lennox was hurt, but he was just trying to apologize and make it better.

Zacky looked at her, "Yea we can do that." HE said as he put everything up. He paid for the stuff, then he walked outside with her.

Lennox looked at him, "Please just leave me alone Matt." She said.
