Laney listened to Avery before placing her hand on her sister's arm. "Eat." She informed her, before looking at her. "I'm not mad at you Avery." She informed her, knowing that this wasn't her fault. Luke was to blame he'd taken things upon himself and made things change. She didn't know if it was for better or worse. But right now she was something she'd always feared but yet she was still her. "I don't blame you for not telling me, besides if I had been in your shoes I'd have waited too." She didn't want her sister to blame herself, she just needed to know when her sister found out. Besides if the shoe had been on the other foot Laney would have probably never told Avery. They both thought the other was to frail at times. But they both were stronger than the other gave credit for. "So you really love him?" She asked looking at her sister seeing that stupid happy grin on her face. The one their mother always wore. She wondered if she really loved Haden or if it had been the mating. She knew that being human the effect on her was less than they were now. Because right now she wanted to shred his clothes and ravish his body because the need to be one with him was so high. But her mind was keeping her grounded. She knew that things needed to go slow, she had to make up her mind if this is what she wanted or if she was going to leave. It wasn't likely she would leave, but would Haden be okay with her just being a member of the pack with out being his mate. She didn't think he could handle that.

Avery started to eat then frowned at her sister. "And yet your mad at Haden and he isn't Luke either Laney. He saved you, he knew you where in trouble because you two where mated. He has always been loyal to you and fell in love with you so quickly, he tried to tell you no Laney just remember that." she said and touched her sister's hand. "Please try and remember that when you are angry with him. He tried to do the right thing but when you care about someone a lot and you want them and they want you it's not easy to wait until the right time that might never come." Avery knew she was was sticking up for Haden and her sister might see her as taking sides but the truth was Avery just wanted to keep the family together. She looked over seeing Jake and smiled softly her sister asked if she really loved him and she chuckled. "More and more everyday. Once I got past the fact he kept this secret from me though I begged him to tell me I saw the little things he did for me because he truly loves me. Jake takes care of me like a normal person would themselves, he will never leave me and I will always be beautiful to him, even when we are old. Jake is the man that even in this day and age would find a way to court me because he knows it means something to me. He would find a way to give me everything I could ever dream of because seeing me happy is all he desires in the world." she said softly beaming as she talked about Jake. "I love these people Laney but I love Jake the most and as much as I love you Laney you don't need me not like he does so if it ever came to it I would choose him just as he would choose me over everyone else because we are a part of each other, even without mating."

Haden looked up at Jake as he stood beside him. "Hey man." he said and sighed. "I'm alright. I just can't get a pin on her. I keep expecting this huge blow up but then she acts like everything is fine and yet she pulls away from me. It's like she doesn't want to face me and deal with it. I don't know what to do man. I'm afraid of loosing her and yet I feel like she is teetering between loving her mate or wanting to beat me up because I fucked up." he shook his head. "I won't deny what I did was wrong but how long is she going to punish me for it?" he asked and sighed. "I don't know, it's only been half a day and this morning. She's going through a lot and I am just trying to give her the space and time she needs without making her think I don't care. I feel like nothing I do right now will ever be good enough to win her back." he said and sighed shaking his head feeling sick not really wanting to talk about it. "How's Avery holding up?" he asked him.

Laney listened to her sister ramble, she was quite shocked when she said she'd choose Jake over her. She felt quite betrayed, but didn't say anything because Laney couldn't blame her. She knew what mating felt like and it was a crazy hard to suppress the feelings it brought on. It was one of the reason she was so stand offish with Haden. She needed to be or they'd end up in bed with nothing solved. "You're right." Laney barely managed out, Haden had done his best to tell her. She just didn't want to hear it, she had been so set on having him that she never thought anything was off. She'd never thought for a moment he was a wolf, he never showed her any aggression. She knew that everything she believed about wolves was completely a lie. She knew there was good and bad wolves just like people. For instant the man who attacked Avery, he was just that a man. Shaking her head she stood. "I hope he really makes you happy." She told her sister before turning and walking back towards her and Haden's place. She didn't know what she was doing just that she needed to be alone. She wasn't just hurting herself but everyone around her. Sitting herself down on their bed she thought over the life they've been living and how happy she was before this happened. She didn't know if she'd ever feel that way again. But she knew that she'd have to put forth the effort to do so. But could she let go of all the shit Haden had lied to her about. Because he had to lie about a lot if he was covering this up. She wondered if anything he told her was the truth. It just put that seed of doubt in her, and now it would be a hellish time trying to dig it out.

Jake listened to Haden, "maybe you need to stop giving her space." He offered, "she's not going to break so quit treating her like a damn doll." He sighed, "she has to face the facts sooner than later, and if she doesn't want to talk then she can listen." Jake told him flat out. "I know I might look at it differently if it was Avery. But lets face it, this is Laney." He said, "she's a head strong bitch, no offense." He said hoping not to make his Alpha mad. "She's carried herself and Avery through a lot worse." He knew some things that Avery told him, but not enough for him to really know what Laney's been through. "Be honest and tell her everything, don't leave her any room for doubt." He knew that's what he would do with Avery, he needed her to trust him more than anything. Because with out trust they wouldn't ever make it to mating.

Avery took her sister's hand before she left and held it lovingly. "Laney I love you so much and I know you are going through a lot but you are never alone so please stop leaving like you are." she said and frowned watching her sister leave. Avery had never been strong enough before to give her sister the hard love she had needed some times. Avery sighed and finished her food taking it to Haden. She kissed his cheek before she touched Jake's arm. "I'm going back home to finish cleaning up hun." she said and pecked his lips with her. She smiled softly and then headed back towards home. She was really worried about her sister and Haden too. She was just getting comfortable here with everyone she didn't want to have to leave them all because of something stupid happening.

Haden's eyes widened at Jake's advice. He finished washing and sat back running a hand through his hair leaving droplets of water in his hair. "Damn Jake sometimes I forget you have such good advice." he said and knew he was right. He knew what he needed to do. He needed to get Laney out of the house and needed to get her to open it up. He needed to crack the shell she had been building up. He seemed to always underestimate Laney and that made him angry with himself. She deserved better. Haden smiled as Avery walked up and gave him a sweet kiss. He washed her dish as she kissed Jake and told him where she would be. He was so glad they had gotten so far in their relationship. Haden cleaned Jake's bowl then handed him all the clean dishes. "You're in charge Jake. I'll be back when we have worked things out." he said and then stood and started to gather some things shoving them into backpacks and walked into the room and shoved some of her cloths and his into bags then handed the pack to her. "We're going on a walk. You can bath when we get there." he said and tucked her hair behind her ear kissing her head. "You need to get out of here for a little while, we both do. I would rather do this in wolf form but perhaps you need more time for that it's fine but we're going." he said softly wanting her to know he was set on this.

Jake watched as Haden left, he sighed, he hated when he was in charge. It made his life a living hell. He didn't know what the hell everyone was up today. Running into Penny he asked a few questioned before nodding. He informed her he'd be in charge until Haden returned. Moving to Avery, he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Love, it looks like Haden and Laney will be leaving." He informed her, "so since they're leaving mind picking up cooking duty today?" He asked, knowing he didn't want her wandering to far from him or camp. He knew it was a bad idea for her to go into the forest, since they were short two men. He wouldn't take a chance with her safety right now.

Laney frowned watching Haden pack up her things she wondered what in the world her could be thinking. Watching him she sighed before standing. "And who the hell said I was going?" She snapped at him, not sure why she was snapping at him. He was irritating her, she didn't like being told what to do. She knew that it was the only reason why. She was just being a bitch towards him because she could. Huffing out she thought back to what Avery said, he was trying at that was all that matter. Sighing she rolled her eyes. "Alright." She picked the bag up and putting it on her back. She had no intention of being a wolf again. So he was going to have to travel with her on foot.
