Avery smiled as Jake came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She leaned back into him beaming. "Anything for you love." she said and smiled. "I am glad they are going off just the two of them, they never really get that and they need it right now." she said and turned in his arms. "It will be our turn soon enough and it will be much better than theirs." she said and kissed him deeply then pulled back. Avery smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. "Mmm you need a bath." she said and blushed gently. "Make sure to take time for yourself too love." she said and then undid his bandage she hadn't gotten to yet and smiled softly seeing his perfect skin the receiving lines of a scar disappearing. Avery smiled. "I do love that your wolf blood heals you so well." she said and kissed I'm gently again. "Alright time to get busy hun." she said and they set out to take care of the duties of the camp. They had little things they needed to do daily to keep the place running smoothly. Avery didn't mind taking over cooking and other things while her sister and Haden went out and found their center again. It was necessary.

Haden smirked as she snapped at him. "Would you not come with me to talk and see if we can salvage the love we have for each other?" he asked her and raised his eyebrow ready already to get her all riled up so they could have it out and she could calm down having gotten her anger and everything out. Jake and given him the best advice ever. Laney needed an outlet he had just not thought of it before because of how tender his feelings where for her. She agreed and he beaned. "Thank you." he said and truly meant it. They headed out of the camp and then mostly up hill towards a little place on the outskirts of their territory. He was mostly quite sometimes pointing out new things she would ned to stay away from because she was a wolf. They traveled for many hours before they came upon a lake and a little cottage. Haden walked up to it and opened the door for her. "After you." he said. When she walked in there was the kitchen and a little sitting room and the bathroom tucked into he corner. Up a later was the loft where the bedroom was. He set his bag down in the kitchen and then turned to her. "If you would like a bath go take one in the lake just out those doors." he said and pointed to some french doors across from him. He set to unpacking and fully expected her to go bathe and relax before they ate and then had their discussion if she was feeling civil or their argument if she was livid enough.

Jake smiled feeling the bandage part from his skin, it was itchy and he was glad he was finally healed. He helped her finish cleaning up the mess from breakfast. Smiling once they were done he turned to Avery. "Hey love." He said before wrapping his arms around her waist. "I was thinking," he paused to gauge her reaction, "why don't you take a bath with me?" He questioned her, they didn't have to do anything for the pack until closer to lunch time. So they could take this time and spend it with one another. He knew that their first time wouldn't be in the lake, but it was an intimate step they could take. He also knew that she spent most of her time taking care of him, so she could use on just as much as he could.

Laney followed Haden as they traveled, she was surprised on how much ground they covered, yet she wasn't tired. She'd have never been able to do so as human. The small thing like this amazed her and she liked it better, but she knew that liking this was against everything she'd ever stood for. Sighing she was grateful when they arrived, her thoughts taking a turn. She was amazed by the beauty in the simplest of the place. Entering she looked around, wondering if he was trying to distract her or woo her. She turned listening to him offering her the chance to bathe. "Okay." She said softly, before grabbing a change of clothing he'd brought for her, and taking them out the door. She stopped breathing in the cool air. She needed this, but it would have been nice if she was still human. She hated that things changed, yet she didn't know how much they changed. Slipping out of her clothing she moved into the lake. The water contrasting against her warm body, making it feel colder than it really was. But it didn't effect her the way it used to, now it felt relaxing and nice.

Avery smiled as Jake held her to him. She grinned and relaxed into him enjoying this moment with him. "Hey handsome." she said back to him and smiled nodding as he said he had been thinking. He told her what he wanted to try and she blushed. It was daylight out and he would see everything with as cold as the water was and and clear it was. Avery turned in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck. She looked up at him that blush on her cheeks. "Really? You think you can handle it?" she asked him wanting to be sure he could handle how close and intimate this could be. "You'll let me if it's to much though right?" she asked him and ran her hand through his hair and leaned up on her toes and kissed him softly. She remembered the taste of him on her mouth and how he had kissed he'd and smiled proudly at her like he was delighted at what she had done. Avery grinned softly and nodded gently. "If you think you will be okay with it then yes I would love to give it a try." she said and smiled gently. Avery was kind of excited at the prospect of sharing something like this with Jake. It was just a bath but the thought of being naked together nothing but the water between them was sexy to her.

Haden unpacked their things and then made them a snack because they had used a lot of energy to get up here and she was still getting use to their bodies. He busied himself with things to do in the cottage that had held up surprisingly well with he end of the world and he would love to just keep her here all on their own forever but first thing that he wanted to get taken care of was her doubts about his love and care for her despite the dishonesty he had towards her. He needed to get it all out in the open. He couldn't fix a problem be couldn't see, couldn't sooth pain he didn't know about. Haden hoped this would give them the ability to talk about it, to fight if they needed and the spaced and privacy for Laney to break down because she had been through so much.

Jake almost felt giddy when she agreed to bathe with him, "you know I wouldn't have asked if I didn't think I could handle it." He smiled down at her, before pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Is there anything I can get you?" He asked her, knowing that they'd need clothing so they could change once they were clean. He knew she'd need the usual so he was wondering if he could get her anything else. Nodding to her answers he leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips. "I'll see you down there." He figured he'd give her the chance to get into the water before him, allowing her a bit of privacy to undress. He also thought it would be easier on him if he didn't have a strip show going on. Smiling at her he parted from her before heading to their house to get some clothing. It didn't take him that long to get the things they needed clothing wise. But he took his time in looking around the place smiling when he found some shampoo and body wash, plus a few surprisingly clean towels. Taking the handful of things he'd gathered down to the lake. Smiling when he took in Avery's naked form wading in the water.

Laney relaxed into the water, her body enjoying the cold water. It had been a long time since she'd taken a bath or shower that actually relaxed her. It was something about the fact she wasn't prey that made her relax. She wasn't afraid of being targeted while bathing now. She was what she'd always feared, and she hated it that she didn't feel any different that she did before. She knew little things changed, like her sight, her smell, and her hearing. Those things seemed to be the only thing she noticed while being human that had really changed. Being in wolf form was completely different, she couldn't even explain how she felt. Free was a word that came to mind, she felt like nothing was holding her to places any more. Ignoring her way ward thoughts she started to wash her body, letting herself go though the motions she'd managed a thousand times. It was hard to except change, but really she didn't think it would be this easy for her to approve of them. She still didn't want to be a wolf, it would always be something she'd have a problem with.

Avery smiled. "My hair brush." she said doubting he would grab that. She grinned as he kissed her. She kissed him back and then watched him nearly skip off. She grinned glad that she could do something to please him. She headed down to the river and stripped off placing her cloths in a neat pile. she would wash her cloths later. Now was a time for her and Jake to share. Avery headed out into the water and shivered. It felt so cold to her. She was about halfway in taking her time when she heard someone up on shore and she turned over her shoulder seeing Jake and she smiled. "Well you going to join me?" she asked him and smiled gently taking some water and rubbing it over her shoulders as if preparing for the cold to go over her shoulders. The water rippled down her body outlining her breasts glistening against her skin.

Haden could feel her relaxing in the water and it soothed him some. He was glad she still could enjoy the things that made life good. He sat down and relaxed back into the chair just waiting on her. He grinned sharing in her emotions. It felt so nice to finally feel fully connected to her and yet it brought such sadness to him too. He had wanted to be the one to introduce her to his world and not in the dramatic way it had been done. Haden sighed knowing Luke would never be back to hurt her again and that was what he should have done to begin with but he was a merciful person and did not enjoy taking a life however deserved it may be.

Jake smiled at her as he placed their things down on a dry rock. Pulling his shirt off he dropped it to the ground and quickly stripped off the rest of his clothing. He didn't need an invitation, he how ever was enjoying the view. Her body was amazing and a part of him was worried he might be biting off more than he could chew. But he knew there wasn't any turning back now. Slipping into the water he took notice of how cold it was, he knew he could allow her to spend to much time out her. It was to cold for her, and if the wind picked up he could have a sick girl on his hands. He reached her letting his hand move out and brush her hair away from her shoulder, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to it. "You're so beautiful." He whispered to her, enjoying the view he had. "It's not to cold for you?" He asked, wanting to make sure she didn't get sick. No matter how important it was to get clean, he still couldn't allow her to get sick over it. Lifting his hands he cupped water into them before gently pouring it over her shoulders. Watching a her skin lit up with goosebumps.

Laney finished she was surprised that Haden hadn't joined her, a part of her wanted him to. But she knew that he was giving her space, since he was still expecting her to blow up at him. She didn't know what she wanted to do right now. But she knew she was hurt, and it wasn't his fault. She was sad, which she also couldn't blame on him. The only thing that she could say was his fault, was this wedge, he'd lied to her. It wasn't like she couldn't forgive him, but it was almost like he just wanted to let her wallow in her anger. She knew he'd apologized but that was when she was a wolf and hell she really didn't even remember half of what he was saying to her. She was to far lost in herself. Wrapping a towel around her she grabbed her clothing before heading inside. It was a bit chilly to dress outside. That and she figured it would be a bit of a torment if she changed in front of him.

Avery smiled as he stripped off. She watched him and then how he came into the water and up to where she had made it into the water at. She smiled as he called her beautiful. "Thanks handsome." she said and tilted her head back as his hand brushed over her skin moving her hair. He kissed her skin and her pulse quickened. "No I'm alright. The water is warmer around you." she said and stepped closer. He poured a handful of water over her shoulders watching as they made her skin pinken and her nipples harden. Avery smiled and took Jake's hand pulling him further into to the water with her. They where in just enough of the water to be lapping over her breasts then reveal them again. Haden watched as Laney came in wearing just a towel and he inhaled sharply. "Have a nice bath?" he asked. This was one of his favorite spots they had considered but it wasn't big enough for the entire pack. He bit his lip. "I unpacked your cloths they are in the chest by the bathroom, there is no room up in the loft." he said. The loft wasn't big enough to stand up and dress in. It might be big enough for other activities his mind was racing to as she stood there half wet before him. Haden shook his head and tried to remember what it was they where their for. Sex was not going to solve their issues, they needed to talk, even to argue and resolve some of the emotions before he took his mate to bed for the first time since she shifted. It would be so much more intense, that he could already tell. "One your dressed we'll eat something then I want to talk." Haden said.

Jake smiled as she seemed confident in her actions, he loved that she wasn't ashamed of her body. Though he'd seen it several times, he'd hoped she wouldn't feel the need to cover herself. And it seemed she was dances with excitement, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Watching as her body ached against his as she wetted her hair down. He loved the site of her, and was happy she was his mate. "No love." He smiled shaking his head. "Your scent never changes, it will always smell like this." He said before dripping water on her shoulder, "it may to others but not to me. Some say that when you mate, you take on the smell of your mate, it mixes, but Laney didn't' smell different to me until she changed." He informed her, he was still learning things himself. So he knew that it was hard for her to understand, since he barely did himself. He knew that the moment Avery decided to become a wolf, she'd understand fully everything he's been trying to explain to her. It was really basic thing, but it boiled down to the senses. He just couldn't put them into words. Cupping his hand he took some water before pour it over her shoulder, letting his hand travel down with the run off. Smiling he leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips, having her like this was just so prefect for him. He loved her and moments like this he wasn't thinking of mating, he was just mesmerized by her.

"I did." She summarized her thoughts into the two little words, she let her eyes look around the place. Taking in the simplicity of it all, yet it had a romantic and homey feel to it. She was in awe, but she wondered why he really brought her here. Was it to woe her because it was working. Not that she didn't have to fear wolves attacking she felt relaxed. It made her heart ache knowing she was slowly excepting this life. It hurt to know it was so easy to do so after years of despising it. "Okay." She said, before moving to the chest he'd pointed out for her. Dropping her towel she grabbed the first set of clothing that was comfortable to her, pulling them on to her body. She felt no need to hide from him after all they were mated and he had seen every inch of her body, if not touched it. "Did you need help making anything?" She asked pulling her shirt over her head, she didn't bother with a bra out panties. It made her dressing faster. Turning to him she waited for him to instruct her on what she needed to do here, because he seemed to be running this show.

Avery smiled as she listened to him. She ran her hands up his body moving the water over his body too. She smiled and kissed him before she took the soap and started to rub his body with the soap. She smiled and rubbed his skin slowly in circles massaging him. "I love it when you explain things to me. It makes it so interesting to learn." she said and chuckled. Avery liked when he talked in general he was so amazing to her. "Why do you think our bond is stronger than than others? We're not even matted and yet we act like it and sometimes I feel like we are." she said and shook her head knowing it would be even more intense to be mated to him than this and she was becoming more any more okay with that. In fact it was starting to become a comfort that she would be so close with the man she loves more than anything.

Haden smiled glad she had enjoyed her self. He wondered what she thought of this little place. He watched her walk over to the chest and drop her towel. He made himself focus on something other than the blood pouring into places he didn't need it right now. "No it's a pretty easy snake. We'll eat dinner later, I just know you are getting use to the metabolism you now have so you need to eat more." he said and slid the food across to her. He smiled gently starting to eat his own portion. He smiled at her. She was so stunning to him and she made him want to reach out and take her to him. He was controlling himself because sex was not going to solve the fact that they had issues to work on.

Jake smiled at the feeling of her hand on his body, he loved that she was taking the incentive to touch him. "Well I do the best I can." He informed her, his eyes watching her face as she lathered his body up. "Honestly baby I don't know, I've never know anyone to have a bond like this before." He informed her. "The only thing I can think of is because you're a virgin, every one else has already lost their innocence." He shrugged wondering if it had anything to do with why they were so in touch. "They used to say that kids were more in touch with their spiritual side, maybe that's what's going on here." He didn't know if he was making sense. Taking the soap from her he in turn started to wash her body. "But like I said it could be a number of things, but that's my thoughts."

Laney started to eat her food, before lifting her eyes to Haden "What did you want to talk about?" She asked figuring there was no need to wait to talk. He wanted her to tell him how she was feeling then fine. She didn't see how telling him what she felt would help, but she figured if he needed to hear her say she was fine, then she would. It was a lot to take in when all these emotions from your past made hate what you've become. She watched him as she continued to eat. She knew that he would feel better if she was eating, and he was right she was hungry even after eating not to long ago. She knew that this was hard for both of them so putting it on him to get things off his chest might not have been the best decision. But he wanted her to talk so he can lay out the topics.

Avery smiled as she listened to him guess about why their bond was so strong right now. She nodded, "That makes sense." she said and kissed him gently as she finished the top half of his body. He started to clean her up and when he got to her breasts she closed her eyes moaning softly. "I really hope that Laney will be alright though, she has hated wolves for so long not even able to think they could be good at all." she said and shook her head. She didn't want to think about her sister now. "I am so thankful that now I have you and that you will take me to new places in my life." she said gently.

Haden was eating when Laney asked him what he wanted to talk about. He raised and eyebrow and sat back finishing chewing before answering. "Laney for better or worse you are my mate, that is nearly like marriage to our kind. I know that it wasn't something you had really signed up for but I did try to tell you I wanted to wait. So now you're upset that I didn't tell you and I get it but not talking to me about it is lame. You don't have to deal with anything alone ever again, in fact it's better if you don't." he said and sighed. "Laney please let's not play theses games. Shit happened, you should talk about it and we can finally work through them together because otherwise you will still have those emotions and your resentment for me and what you have become will build and neither of those are healthy so come out with it." he said and then took a bite of his food waiting for her to talk.

Shifting he felt his body come alive as her touch traveled lower on his body, though he wasn't about to allow that to interfere with their time together. He felt his heart strings being tugged at, Avery didn't know what her words were doing to him. He knew that the bonding would make things more intense but he was also afraid that she might lose herself in it. If it was this strong now before they mated just how strong would it be after. He knew that humans and wolves felt it differently. But with Avery he knew she felt him, "you know how happy it makes me to hear you say that?" He asked her, smiling down at her. Moving to rinse his hands off he reached up and cupped her face. Pressing his lips to her roughly, he wanted her to feel all the passion he had. He wanted it to flow out of him and into her, he wanted her to feel just how much he needed her.

Laney sighed pushing her empty dish away from her, before looking up at him. "What do you want to hear me say?" She asked him before crossing her arms. "That I didn't want this, I didn't." She informed him, before looking at her hand. "Avery and I talked this morning, and though I didn't want to hear some of what she said, I have to agree with her." She lifted her gaze to him, "it's hard to hear ones faults being shoved back in their face." She started. "But you're right you did try to wait, and I chose to push you, so I was mad at you for not telling me you were a wolf before we mated, but there's no crying over spilled milk. And once I talked to Avery and she basically told me it's my fault just as much as it is your, I didn't feel the need to talk to you. Everything that I was mad about was thrown in my face, and I agree with it, I had no right to put all the blame on you." She shrugged, "do I want to be a wolf, no." She shook her head, "I never wanted to be it and it will take me awhile to expect it, but Haden I'm not angry or upset with you." She told him softly.

Avery moaned against his lips her arms wrapping around him. She felt her head fogging up with desire and she smiled against his lips her tongue meeting his as she pulled them a little deeper into there desire. Avery smiled and pulled away lightly not wanting to push their luck. They had to take care of the pack while Haden and Laney where gone and she knew once she mated with Jake they would only want to be selfish and rest in each other's arms for a good long while. Avery grinned and then dipped under the water letting the water wash away the soap. Avery came back up then took the shampoo and started to wash out her hair. "I am very glad I can make you happy Jake." she said smiling. She loved this man so much she would do anything for him if she could. Avery smiled at him and rinse her hands so she could take his cheeks in her hands and bring him down for a sweet light kiss that was tender and showed her gentle love that roared fiercely inside of her.

Haden finished his food and listened to her. "You where?" he asked surprised she hadn't said she was. She told him her sister talked to him and he frowned. "What did she say? Damn that girl is good." he chuckled and shook his head. "She might have talked to you Laney but I'm your mate any you need to talk to me too. I know this is rough for you but that's what I am here fore, as your mate, as an alpha. I'm glad your not mad at me anymore but I would really like to get you comfortable with your wolf side, with mine." he said and frowned. He wanted her to accept me because he loved all of her and wanted the same from her but I knew it wasn't that easy for her. "I know I should have told you sooner Laney and I own that and I have told you I am sorry for that, for not being there to save you sooner. I should have listened to my instincts." he shook his head. "I just thought I was being paranoid because you where going off on your own for the first time in a long while." he said and sighed.

Jake smiled into their kiss, his hands resting on her bare hips. Feeling his desires rising, he knew they were pushing things now. And he did promise to let her know if it got to much for him. Breaking the kiss he smiled softly down at her. "Maybe we should finish up and head back." He told her, knowing that if they continued he wouldn't be able to stop. They both felt the pull of mating and she was slowly started to expect it, but they couldn't not right now. He really needed Haden and Laney to patch things up quickly. He didn't know if he could wait until they came back. Knowing that right now his inner wolf was begging him to ravish her right her and now. And Jake would continue to do what ever her could to woo her and help her along for the very propose of mating. He loved her and couldn't wait to finally have that bond with her.

Laney nodded at Haden, "yes were." She stood and moved to him, before placing her hand on top of his. "You keep treating me like I'm going to run or break and," she started to pour her heart out. "And I can't tell you how much that hurts me, and I don't want to talk to you because of it." She shook her head. "If you want me to be expecting of you as my mate I am, but the wolf part is going to take time." She gently squeezed his hand. "I'm not going to be forced to do things I don't want to either, so this bringing me here so we can hash things out was stupid on your part. All you ever had to do was ask me to talk, but I don't feel like your mate, I feel like you're guarding yourself from me." She sighed, shaking her head. "I don't blame you for anything, it may have taken me some time to fully understand things. But I can't help but feel like you don't care for me the same, I know it might be you're giving me space, but this." She pointed at him, like he was now. "Is not the man I fell in love with." She hated how he seemed to have this wall up, like he expect her to blow up or run. It was like he was hiding his emotions from her. And she knew that since they were mated, she should be able to feel him. But she felt numb, and she felt like she just couldn't get over it and didn't know why. It wasn't until he mentioned he could feel her that she realized that she was feeling his emotions inside of her.

Avery grinned softly and nodded. "Alright babe." she said and finished cleaning up then headed out of the water wrapping her body in the towel. She smiled and dried off before getting dressed. She sat on the rock waiting for Jake after she was done holding her dirty cloths in her towel as she waited. Avery smiled softly. She was glad at their progress. She knew this was still hard for him and he wanted to mate with her right here, right now but they had other duties to see too. Once they where ready they went home and dropped off their things before they started to to do the things they needed to for the pack. "I really enjoyed that babe thank you." she said and kissed him.

Haden frowned. "The hole reason I brought you here was because I want to reconnect. I'm not treating you like you're going to break on me anymore. I'm confronting what is going on here. Or at least I thought I was because I don't know how far you had come just by talking to your sister. So now..." he stood and plucked her up by her hips and set her on the table. "Now all that's left is to make up." he said having a feeling this wasn't over but his need for her was to great to ignore anymore. She was telling him that he was being to gentle so he would stop that now. Haden kissed her his hand in her hair pulling her closer his body coming a live with how much he had missed her.

Jake smiled as he exited the water, before drying his body off. Then pulling his clothing on and grabbing all the stuff up. Smiling at her he wrapped his arm around her waist as they headed back towards camp. He dropped their stuff off inside the door of their house, before turning and heading back towards the center of camp. Making his way to the fire pit before starting it back up again. Watching Avery walk up to him he grinned down at her, liking how she voiced her appreciation. "You don't have to thank me." He whispered out over her lips. Before taking his time and kissing her again. Not wanting to part from her just yet.

Smiling against his lips her hands moving cross his chest. "Mm, and what did you have in mind?" She asked him, feeling warmth spread through her body. She could feel changes in her body. Like someone had pour hot water over her body, though it was strictly warm. She couldn't describe what was happening, but she knew that when he touched her she felt whole. Like he was a missing piece she'd finally found. Shifting she spread her legs pulling him closer allowing him to nestle flush against her. She didn't know what happened but it was like a switch in her brain shut every doubt and bad thoughts off, and all that she could think of and feel what him.

Avery smiled and kissed him deeply her arms wrapping around him. They would never get anything done like this. She giggled and after a while pulled away from the kiss rubbing his chest. "None the less I really enjoyed myself." she said and then kissed his cheek and turned to move towards the food to make it for the pack. She didn't want their mating needs to put the pack last. She knew they meant something to Jake, and they meant something to her too.

Haden moaned against her lips. He could feel the mating stronger than before and he ran his hand into her hair. "Oh yes many thoughts." he said feeling her pull him closer. Haden bit her lip gently then sucked on it before he picked her up and headed towards the ladder. He moved her to his back and climbed the ladder before moving her onto the bed. He kissed her smiling. "I am afraid you might need another shower after this." he said and then consumed her lips his hand dipping under her shirt peeling it off of her before his mouth moved down her skin to capture one of her naked breasts in his mouth teasing and tantalizing her.

Jake smiled at her before moving around the fire to attend to it so it be hot enough for her to cook on it. "I did too love." He smiled, before stepping back and watching her. Sitting down he sat back as she did all the work. He knew that they didn't want him anywhere near the food. It was one of the reasons he agreed to allow the others to do the things out side of camp. He could sit back and enjoy his time with her. "So what do you think Laney and Haden are doing right now?" He asked, wondering if they'd be coming back soon. Granted he also hoped that his Alpha wasn't having his heart ripped out of his chest.

They had enough food to last them for at least a week. Smiling when Avery handed him a bowl of food, "thank you baby." He told her still a little lost in his own thoughts.
