Emma sighed and then looked at over as Dean walked towards them, talking to Henry. Henry clearly had no idea who Dean was and Emma didn't want to tell him with everyone around. Emma looked at the clock and looked over at Henry, "Alright kid it's probably time I get you back home." She suggested and Henry nodded before she looked over at her parents, "I'm going to take Henry home. I'll see you back at the loft." She said.

Emma looked towards Layla and Sam, "It was nice meeting you two." She said and then looked towards Dean and nodded before ushering Henry towards the door. She put on her jacket before her and Henry walked outside and to her bug, "Mom are you okay? You seem upset." Henry asked as he put his seatbelt on. Emma looked over and nodded, "Yeah kid I'm fine. I'm just a little tired." She lied and then drove him back home. She couldn't shake the feeling of guilt in her head when she saw the look of shock on Dean's face when she told him about Henry.

    ---

Killian watched the conversation between everyone and he nodded at Emma when she left. He noticed she looked odd but he didn't say anything about it. He watched as they left and then turned back to Layla, "So that's Emma and Henry." He said with a smile and then turned to the other brother, "You must be Dean. Layla mentioned you but before you were outside before I even sat down." He said and smiled at him.

Killian noticed that Sam was still giving him the evil eye. What was this guy's problem? It wasn't as if he had said anything rude. He was just being friendly. Though of course Killian was a pirate and Sam seemed to be protective over Layla. Regardless, Killian was sure that Layla could handle her own for whatever reason at all.

Dean's mind was reeling. There was so much shit going on already, and now he was adding having a son he didn't even know about to that list. As if not knowing where the hell Cas was and all this angel and demon tablet bullshit wasn't enough of a headache already. Not that he didn't want to have anything to do with his and Emma's son, because he definitely did, it was just all a little overwhelming right now. He wasn't exactly the run-of-the-mill, average joe guy. His life wasn't normal by any means. He didn't know if Emma, if she ever found out the truth, would want him near the kid anyway.

He was taken from his thoughts when the guy seated next to Layla at the bar spoke up. Dean had no idea who he was, and he honestly hadn't taken notice of him until now. "That's me." He said, wondering who this guy was. "And you are?" Guessing from the sour expression on Sam's face though, he assumed that he had shown an interest in Layla.
Layla just knew that something was off. She wasn't going to say anything to her brother about it now though. She knew better than to do so. She was sure that, later on, if she didn't say something, Sam definitely would. She hoped that whatever was going on with Dean and the blonde would distract Sam from bugging her about Killian or rather coming up with reasons why she shouldn't talk to him or some bullshit like that. She understood that Sam was her older brother, but he couldn't keep up with this mentality that no one was good enough for his little sister bit. It was getting really old, really fast and, frankly, it was pissing Layla off quite a bit.

"They seem nice." She said, a small smile gracing her lips. She watched as Killian then turned his attention to Dean, hoping that his reaction would be better than Sam's had been. So far, so good too.

Killian smiled, "Killian Jones." He said, "Nice to meet you." He added happily. He was trying to make a good impression on Dean because Sam seemed to hate him no matter what he did. But Killian could understand he just wished that Sam wasn't trying to blow him up with his mind every five seconds, "So where are you three from?" He asked, as if he would actually know the answer when they told him. He would just pretend to actually know the place they were talking about. If it wasn't New York or Main then Killian would have no idea where they were talking about.

Killian nodded at Layla's words, "Emma and Henry are great people. Henry is a great kid. Emma does a great job being a mother. Her and Henry's adoptive mother raise him really well." Killian explained and smiled. It was true, though he hadn't known Emma and Henry and everyone else for very long, only a mere two years, he still knew how well Henry had been raised by Regina and is being raised by her and Emma.

"Yeah, you too." Dean said, though it was clear that he was a bit distracted. Something had happened outside with that blonde, Emma. Layla could see that clear as the light of day, and she was certain that she wasn't the only one catching on to that either. "Kansas originally, but we moved around a lot with our dad." Layla said. "Still do."

She kept the answers vague, much like she and her brothers normally would. It was just easier that way. Kept things from getting even more complicated than they already were. Although, things seemed to get more and more complicated with each passing day. Right now there was the tension that still hung in the air like smoke between Sam and Dean over the whole purgatory and Benny issue. Cas was still MIA somewhere in purgatory. Kevin and Mrs. Tran were hiding out from Crowley. It was a surprise that she didn't have a constant migraine.

Killian nodded. He understood where she was coming from in a sense. When he was a solider for the King, along with his brother, he moved around a lot on the sea. Of course being a pirate he never stayed in the same place for long. His time in Neverland was probably one of the only times he stayed in one place for a long period of time. And of course here as well was a place he had stayed for a long period of time. Killian could tell that Dean was distracted and was curious as to what went on outside with him and Emma.

"Well as long as you enjoy what you do with your moving around and such. Then I guess it's okay for that. But of course I don't know anyone who likes to move around. Certainly everyone likes to settle down at least for a little while." He said, not really sure what her thoughts were.

"It's all we've ever known." Charlotte said, punctuating her words with a shrug of her shoulders. Of course, that wasn't entirely true. Dean had had Lisa and Ben for a while, and Sam had recently had Amelia, and before that, he had Jess, but Layla had never really settled down with anyone before. She was afraid to. She knew what happened to hunters who tried to get out of the life. They got hurt, or worse, killed, or someone they cared about did. That was just how it worked. And she refused to be the reason that another person she cared about lost their life. She and her brothers had lost so many people over the years. Their mom. Their dad. Jo and Ellen. More recently Bobby. She'd be damned if she added anyone else to that list without putting up a fight.

Killian nodded in understanding. Of course he had thought about settling down somewhere and had often thought about it with Miliah but of course that ship has sailed and she was no longer a possibility for his future. It had been many years and of course he would never truly be over it but he tried to live his life how she would have wanted, "Well as long as you're okay with it." Killian said, "So how much longer until Portland do you have to drive?" He asked.

"Probably about an hour, maybe two." Layla said, punctuating her words with a shrug of her shoulders. She hoped that they wouldn't hit too much traffic. The ride here had been tense enough, and Layla hated being in the middle of all it. She didn't know which brother was right. She didn't entirely trust Benny, she didn't know him, though he had helped Dean get out of purgatory, and she didn't necessarily agree with what Sam had done. Of course, Dean had done the same thing with Lisa and Ben not so long ago, so it was all a bit more complicated and less straightforward than either of her brothers seemed to think. After all, when weren't the lives of the Winchesters complicated to some degree? "Do you really get so few people passing through town?" She asked curiously. "Everyone just seems so surprised to see us here."

Killian nodded at her answer before she spoke again, "Yes it's a quiet little town here. It's been that way ever since I got here. It's almost like a fairytale." He said with a smile. Obviously she wouldn't believe it if he was to tell her he was being serious. That fairytale characters actually lived there. But then, of course, nobody would believe him if someone were to tell him that. Nobody actually believed in magic unless you had seen it for yourself or you were from a place in a different realm with magic itself. He wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't saw it first hand. Where he was from there was only talk of magic but he had never actually witnessed it firsthand until he had gone to Neverland with his brother and crew.

"We've been to our fair share of small towns. No one has ever reacted the way that the people here have." Sam cut in before Layla could say much of anything. In all honesty, Sam was speaking the words that had been running through her mind. Did Storybrooke truly get so few visitors or was there more to it? Little did she know that much of what Killian was saying was actually true. "A fairytale, that's an interesting choice of words." Again, Sam beat Layla to the punch, causing her to shoot her brother a pointed look. It was clear that he still wasn't fond of her talking to Killian.

Thankfully, Granny brought over their food not long after that, and Layla was reminded of just how hungry she was. She didn't know if the burgers were as good as she thought they tasted or if it was just that she was really that hungry. She honestly finished it a lot quicker than she should have, and in a rather unladylike manner no less, but she couldn't care less.

"It was nice meeting you Killian. I would say that I'll see you around, but we're probably leaving bright and early tomorrow." She said. Little did she know that she and her brothers would be stuck in this town longer than either of them thought or planned on.

Killian shrugged, "That may be. But you've never been to our small town. We don't get very many visitors through here." He replied to Sam before the brother kept going. Killian shrugged once more, "Well it is some people's version of a fairytale. It's small and cute and everyone here are good people. So if you really like that sort of thing then yes it is a fairytale." Killian explained.

He wondered what Sam's reasoning behind questioning the fairytale thing was. Killian just chalked it up to be Sam being protective and not liking any words that came out of Killian's mouth.

"It was nice meeting you as well, Layla. I guess you all should be getting your rest if you are to drive in the morning." He said with a smile before he nodded at Layla and then Sam and Dean, who still looked lost. He walked outside and took a breath before shaking his head. What was it about that girl that made him act so weird?

"Goodnight, Killian." Layla said with a smile, watching as the man exited the restaurant. There was something different about him, something that she couldn't quite place. Actually, there was just something different about this town in general. She didn't know what it was, and she supposed she wouldn't likely find out either. She, Sam and Dean didn't stay at the restaurant much longer. They went and grabbed a room for the night, prepared to leave first thing in the morning.

That didn't stop Layla from questioning Dean once they got to the room about his strange behavior that evening. "So what's up with you and blondie?" She asked as she walked out of the bathroom after getting changed into an old t-shirt and a pair of gym shorts. "And don't tell me that nothing's up, because I know that something is. You turned down ordering a slice of pie tonight, and you never turn down pie." She shot her brother a knowing look as she tossed the clothes she'd been wearing that day into her duffle.

"Emma and I...we have some history...I met her a few months after I made a deal with that crossroads demon to bring Sam back...you were off working a case with Jo and Ellen I think at the time...I was supposed to meet her one night...the same night the whole showdown with Lilith happened." Layla knew where her brother was going with this. He'd been sent to Hell the same night he was supposed to meet Emma. This was his first time seeing the blonde in years. "That kid in the diner with her, Henry, he's her son...he's mine Layla. Henry's my son."

[We can skip to the whole snow monster thing with Elsa now if you want, and maybe have Henry trying to convince Emma that the Winchesters are hunters all while that's happening XD]

[Yeah, I figured we could skip to the next day? Henry would have been up all night looking through the books and just as Layla, Sam and Dean are about to leave, Leroy and Sleepy run into town screaming the whole thing about being attacked and such so of course that catches the attention of the three Winchesters and then the "evil snowman", well that'll be something new]

    (Alright. Sounds good)

Emma walked down the stairs to the kitchen of her parents' loft and made herself breakfast. Suddenly Henry came bursting through the door, "Mom!!" Henry yelled as he ran over to her, "What's up kid?" She asked and smiled, "I know who they are!" "You know who, who are?" She asked, "Same, Layla, and Dean." Henry replied. Emma's heart started racing. This was it. Henry somehow found out. He knew. Somehow he knew.

"What do you mean you know who they are?" Emma asked as she sat Henry down. She didn't think she was going to have to have this talk with Henry. She didn't want to, "They're from my books! They're hunters. They hunt supernatural beings!" Henry exclaimed as he looked at Emma, "What are you talking about, Henry? What books?" She asked but Henry was two steps ahead of her. He set his backpack on his lap and started pulling out books. He practically shoved them at Emma. She looked over them and raised her eyebrows at Henry, "Look kid I know you like to believe everyone came from somewhere but not everyone came from a fictional book."

    ---

Killian walked around town. He was looking for Layla to see if her and her brothers had left yet. He stopped by Granny's, "Have our new guests checked out yet?" He asked. She shook her head and gave him a look, knowing what he was up to. He gave her a smirk before he went to the diner to order something to eat. He figured that when they woke up they would want to eat before leaving so the least he could do would be to wait and say goodbye to them.

He sat down at a booth and thought about Layla. She was definitely a lot different than other women he had met. Her whole family was just different. He couldn't understand why. Killian had been in Storybrooke for two years now and he never saw anyone new come in that wasn't a storybook character. It just seemed off to him. He didn't know why but he figured that it would come out at some point.

"You're not even going to try and talk to her before we leave?" Layla asked as she threw her bag into the trunk of the Impala. They were all checked out of the room and were going to grab breakfast from Granny's before they headed out of Storybrooke. "Dean, if that kid's really yours..." Sam cut in. Layla looked to Dean, a slight frown on her face. She knew where Sam was going with this. She, herself, had automatically thought of Lisa and Ben. While Lisa had swore up and down that Ben wasn't Dean's kid, Layla had always thought otherwise. And, even so, Dean had been a part of their family for a little while. Now, here was a kid who Emma claimed was actually Dean's kid, and he was just going to leave.

"Don't say it, Sam." Dean said, shaking his head. "Dean--" Layla said, but before she could even get a single word in edge wise, her brother was cutting her off. "Let's just drop it okay? We're going to Portland after this, it's not like we're sticking around." But you might have a reason to. Both Layla and Sam were silent, a similar expression on their faces as they looked at Dean knowingly.

"We're under attack! We're under attack!" Somehow shouted, catching all three of the siblings' attention and shifting it away from the eldest one for a brief moment. Two men were running into the center of town, ironically enough, right towards Emma and her son. Layla overheard the brunt of the conversation. "We were driving into town when some thing blasted us with magic." Layla shot a look Sam and Dean's way. Magic? Maybe there was more going on in this town than they'd thought.
