(both will probably only be a paragraph)
"Of course Henry knows. Who else would make it like a secret mission since it's like a surprise." Killian stated as he lead Layla towards the house. He hadn't honestly thought about letting anyone else in on the secret because he felt like Henry was the only one that would truly be able to help Killian. Of course he knew he probably should have asked Sam and Dean about it before he even thought about getting the house, but he just couldn't help himself or wait. Henry was the first one he went to with his mission to find the perfect house for he and Layla and of course the lad had pulled through greatly. Once at the house Killian stopped and nodded even though Layla couldn't see him. He stood behind her so she could take the house in, "Alright, love, you can open your eyes."

    ---

Emma nodded at Dean's words and sighed, knowing how hard it was for Dean to be keeping something like this from Sam, "I'm sure once we are able to tell him, and everything works out, he's going to understand why everyone kept this from him for so long. There was no way he could just sit there and let him die. He'll understand, Dean." Emma said with a small smile on her face. She really couldn't speak from experience though. She didn't know Sam all that well, and didn't know him at all until a few months ago, so she had no idea how he would react to this bomb being dropped on him, but Emma really hoped that everything worked out because she knew how hard Dean was just trying to make everything okay.

Layla let out a quiet laugh. "I guess I really shouldn't be surprised." She said. With the amount of sneaking around and secret missions she and her nephew had gone on, it wasn't really all that surprising that Killian had reached out to Henry for help with whatever this was. She still didn't have the slightest clue as to where he was taking her. Maybe it was an oversight on her part, considering Henry was one of the few people she'd told she was looking to move out of the bunker, but it made no difference. She was still pleasantly surprised, and a bit confused, when she opened her eyes and saw the house.

It was beautiful. Despite the late hour, she could still make out the basic layout of it, and could see that there was a gorgeous view of the water. There was a for sale sign on the front lawn, but a 'sold' sticker had been placed on it already. It took her a moment to really realize what was going on here, but when she did, she turned to look at Killian. "I---wait--what?" She was speechless.
Dean sighed and nodded. "I hope so." He said, a slight frown tugging at the corners of his lips. As much as he liked to think that Sam would understand why he and Layla had done what they had, he couldn't help worrying that he wouldn't. What if he found out incidentally? What if he found out from someone else? He was sure that his brother wouldn't take it too well if that were the case. He knew that worrying and dwelling on all of these what if scenarios wasn't good, but he couldn't help it. It was easy enough to push to the back of his mind when he was kept busy, whether it was Storybrooke business or monster business, but when he was sitting here at Granny's, a weight that would normally be lifted off his shoulders was still there. There might not be anything crazy going on in that moment, but he still had the whole Sam situation to worry about. And his fears would creep up and leave him near paralyzed with anxiety that he tried his best to hide.

"I just hope that he hears it from Layla and I instead of someone else." He admitted, running his index finger along the rim of his coffee cup. "He'll take it a bit better if he hears it from one, or both, of us."

To say that Killian was nervous of Layla's reaction was a huge understatement. He watched her cautiously to see what she would think. When she finally spoke, he let out the breath that he didn't realize he had been holding, "It's for us, love. Henry told me that you wanted to move out of the bunker, and I figured that you didn't want to stay in a motel room forever. So, Henry helped me find a house we knew you would love." He explained before he spoke once more, taking her hand in his, "Layla, I know that I love you and that I will always love you. I should have probably asked for Sam and Dean's blessing to get the house, but I just got so excited and then everything happened with Isaac and I just want to have a safe place for you and I to come back to at the end of the day." He paused for a few moments before he looked at her nervously, "Do you like it?" Killian asked softly.

    ---

Emma nodded at Dean's words, "I understand. I've been there on countless occasions. I know where you're coming from." Emma said before she placed a hand on his arm, "He will understand why you and Layla did what you did. You had to or else he would have died. He's got to understand that, and hearing it from you or Layla will show him how much you two love him and that this was a must." She said with a small smile. Emma understood why Dean was nervous about if Sam found out, he could die if he found out and Ezekiel wasn't finished repairing Sam's health yet. Everyone want the best for everyone and that could be a good thing or a bad thing sometimes. Emma knew that first hand.

Layla was honestly at a loss for words. Up until a little less than a year ago something like this probably would have sent her running for the hills. This was commitment at the highest level. She was someone who always used to shy away from commitment and relationships, but that of course had changed when she met Killian. She wasn't that person anymore. She hadn't been that person for a while now. Any doubts that might have remained had honestly disappeared after what had happened that day. She'd nearly lost Killian, and she never wanted to experience any of that ever again. Was their love true love? She didn't know. And she didn't care. She knew how she felt about him and how he felt about her and that was all that really mattered. Wordlessly, she leaned up and pressed her lips against his. "I love it, and I love you." She said quietly, resting her forehead lightly against his once she pulled away.
"Mom's right, dad. I'm sure Uncle Sam will understand why you and Aunt Layla did what you did." Henry chimed in. "You two did what you had to in order to save him. He would have died if you didn't let Ezekiel help." Dean wanted to believe that was true, but there was still this unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach that made him hesitate. He knew how Sam felt about possession, and sure it wasn't demonic possession or Lucifer himself, but the only angel they really trusted was Cas. He and Layla hadn't known Ezekiel well at all when they had been the decision that they had. Before he could say anything on the subject though, Ruby was bringing over their usuals. "Thanks, Ruby." He said with a slight smile.

Killian smiled widely when she kissed him. He took it as a good sign. His smiled got even wider, if that was even possible, when she spoke, "I'm glad you like it, love. Henry helped me pick it." He stated before he pulled the key out of his jacket pocket, "Would you like to see the inside?" He questioned as he held the key out in front of her. He had only been inside once before, and he loved it a lot. It was definitely different and more spread out than the Jolly Roger, but of course, it wasn't a ship so that was the biggest difference for him. He knew that if Layla loved the outside of the house than she was going to love the inside as well. It was very suitable for her style.

    ---

Emma smiled when Henry spoke to Dean. She was about to speak before Ruby came and brought them their food. She gave a smile in thanks before she started to dig in. Emma couldn't help but laugh lightly, seeing that Dean was thoroughly enjoying his burger, "If you like that burger so much you should marry it." Henry said, clearly reading Emma's mind and she let out a laugh before she smiled at Dean, "What he said." She teased before taking a sip of her drink.

"Of course he did." Layla said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She really wasn't all that surprised that her nephew had something to do with this. After all, Henry was the only one she'd ever talked to about wanting to move out of the bunker. She should have known that he would mention it to Killian. She wasn't upset that he had or anything like that. She was still honestly just surprised by all of this. She hadn't seen it coming at all. "Is that even a question?" She asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow as she took the key from him. Of course she wanted to see the inside of the house. She sort of knew that she was going to love it, Killian and Henry just knew her really well, but that didn't mean that she wasn't excited to see the inside.
"Maybe I will." Dean said with a mouth full of burger. Once he swallowed, and chased it down with a bit of coffee, he spoke once more. "You've been spending way too much time with your aunt." He chuckled slightly. Henry and Layla were far more alike than he had even realized initially, and now there were just certain things, like the marrying the burger comment, that made him shake his head. It was just something Layla would definitely say.

Killian smiled widely and followed Layla up to the door, and waited for her to unlock it before they both walked inside. He stood behind her with a small grin on his face as he watched her take in the inside of the house. He really hoped that she liked it, even though he knew she would. Killian really thought that anything would be good for her as long as it wasn't the bunker or a motel room, "If you don't like anything in the house, just tell me and we can change it to whatever you want it to be." He said. It was a relatively average size house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Henry made sure that there was at least one extra bedroom for him, and of course Killian made sure that the lad would have his own room for whenever he wanted to spend the night at the house.

    ---

Emma laughed at Dean's words before he said how Henry had been spending too much time with Layla. She nodded slightly with a smile. Emma didn't mind that Henry spent a lot of time with Layla. The two were basically two peas in a pod. Of course, the two were practically the same person anyway, so Emma could see why they spent so much time together. But where Emma could see Layla, she could also see Dean, Sam, her mom, and her dad. She was sure that Dean would probably see a little bit of her in Henry from his point of view. Then of course, there were moments when she saw Regina, just from being raised by her. Henry was a mix of a lot of family and Emma loved it because it truly made him the special kid that he was.

It all was honestly a bit surreal for Layla. The closest thing she'd ever had to a home was the bunker, and that was a rather recent fixture in her life. Before that, it had been motel room after motel room and the closest thing had honestly probably been the backseat of the Impala. But now? Now she had an actual home. She had a man whom she loved more than she had ever imagined herself loving anyone. And everything seemed beyond perfect. Wordlessly, she wandered around the first floor, a soft smile gracing her lips as she ran her fingers along the granite countertops in the kitchen. When Killian spoke, she crossed the room and wrapped her arms loosely around his neck as she pulled him down for another kiss. "I don't want to change anything. It's perfect." She said quietly once she had pulled away.
"She's rubbing off on you, kid." Dean said with a slight shake of his head as he popped a fry into his mouth. He really didn't think it was a bad thing that he was seeing more and more of his sister in his son. Layla was a great person, and he was honestly glad that Henry got on so well with her. Family was always important to him and his siblings, even when the numbers were limited, and he knew that it was just as important to the Charmings as well. He honestly saw a lot of other people in his son as well, and he was proud of the person Henry was. He was a good kid through and through.

Killian stood in silence as he watched Layla walk around the first floor of the house. When she finally returned to him and spoke, he grinned, "You can thank your nephew for that. While I did have some help designing, Henry seemed to know everything that you would like and not like in this house." He explained. Killian was beyond thankful for Henry's help in finding this house, more than excited to finally share something with Layla that wasn't just his bed in the Jolly Roger. Not that he was against it, but to finally have a real home with someone that he loved more than he could ever think to imagine, well there just wasn't a better feeling in the world, "I'm glad you like it, love." He stated before he kissed her forehead.

    ---

Emma couldn't think of a better person to start rubbing off on Henry than Layla, so she was glad to see that he was at least acting like her instead of someone awful, "I think there isn't a better person to have rub off on you, kid. Good choice." She teased her son before she stole one of Dean's fries and popped it in her mouth with a smile. Emma was glad that the conversation had shifted away from Sam and the situation that the family was in. She wanted a happy conversation to be going on for once. So she would take this conversation over a more serious and sad one any day.

"Why am I not surprised that Henry had something to do with all of this?" Layla let out a quiet laugh. She had a lot she was going to have to thank the kid for now. First, for bringing Killian back to her and now for helping her boyfriend with the house. Henry was such a thoughtful kid, and he'd done so much for her. He smiled at Killian's actions. "I don't know how you both managed to keep this all from me." She hadn't suspected a thing, and she was still honestly a bit in awe over all of this. Killian had gotten them a house, a place for them to live together. That was the biggest step imaginable for Layla, but she wasn't scared. She was ready for this.
"I like Aunt Layla." Henry said, causing Dean to smile. He knew how much his son got on with his sister, and he was glad. "That's good, although it is a bit concerning that you two spend as much time together as you do. I'm surprised there haven't been any operations in the works with you two." Dean said, shooting Emma a playful glare when she stole a fry off of his plate. "Weeeellll....Layla and I haven't been working together on anything, but that doesn't mean that I haven't been working with anyone at all..."

Killian smiled at Layla's words, "You really shouldn't be surprised at all." He replied with a laugh before she spoke about keeping the whole thing from her, "It was very hard actually because we had to make sure that nobody would overhear us and accidentally tell you." He replied. Killian was glad that things worked out really well and that Layla seemed to love the house. He couldn't have asked for a better place to call his new home with the woman he loved, "I'm sure Henry will be thrilled to hear that you like the place."

    ---

Emma raised her eyebrows at Henry's words, "What's that supposed to mean?" She questioned. Usually Henry only worked on missions with Emma or Regina, "Who else have you been working with?" She asked curiously. She'd definitely like to know who else had the honor to work on an operation with Henry. Suddenly Emma thought of the perfect person who he could be working with, and why he had been keeping it a secret. It had to be Killian and the operation had to be something important for Layla, or else Henry would have at least told Emma about it.

Layla let out a soft laugh. "Well, I'm definitely impressed that you both managed to keep this from me." She said. She wasn't usually big on surprises, mainly because the surprises she usually got were ones that ended up nearly getting her killed, but this was one that she certainly liked. "I guess a trip to the bunker is in order so I can get my things." That would make this all the more official. Little did she know that things were about to take a turn for the worst. Of course she wouldn't, not when she was so happy that she could literally do anything right now. "Well, I'll have to thank him tomorrow." She said.
"Yea, who have you been working with, kid?" Dean questioned, wondering what Henry had been up to that he and Emma hadn't taken notice of. His son didn't get to tell them though. Before anything else on the matter could be said, Belle was entering Granny's and making a beeline over to their table. "It's Rumple's heart. It's almost gone. He says we're all in danger." The brunette said. Dean exchanged glances with Henry and Emma and stood up, knowing that if Gold's heart succumbed fully to the darkness that wouldn't be good for any of them. "You guys go with Belle to Gold's shop, I'll get Hook and Aunt Layla." Henry said.

Killian grinned widely at Layla's words, "I guess it is." He replied before he leaned over and kissed her gently. Killian was so thrilled that she had agreed to live with him, and that she liked the house. Henry couldn't have done a better job helping him, and he was beyond happy that he knew his aunt well enough already to know what she would like and not like.

    ---

Emma was about to reply to Henry, to show him that she knew, but she was cut off by Belle running into Granny's. When she spoke, Emma's eyes got wide as she stood up quickly. Henry spoke and Emma nodded, "Come on." Emma said grabbing Dean's hand and pulling him towards Gold's shop to see what they could do to help.

Layla smiled and pressed her body closer to his as she kissed him back. This was definitely a big step for them in their relationship, and it clearly was huge for Layla considering she had never been much for relationships in the past, but she knew how she felt about Killian. She knew what it was like to lose him, and she never wanted that feeling to happen again.
Dean let out a sigh and stood up. "So much for things dying down for a bit." He said as he allowed Emma to pull him towards Gold's shop. He almost didn't want to help the guy. He was kind of a dick, and had screwed them all over a number of different times, and he hadn't been in Storybrook very long at all so that said something right there. Hell, he trusted Crowley more than this guy, but he wasn't going to not believe Belle. If they were all in danger, they were all in danger.

Emma laughed lightly at Dean's words, "Things don't ever die down around here. You should know that by now." She replied as they followed Belle towards Gold's shop. Emma normally wouldn't even be worried about Gold, but Emma did care about Belle saying Gold said the town was in danger. Emma was the Savior and it was her job to protect the town as Savior and Sheriff, and that was exactly what she was going to do, "What do we do?" Emma asked as the three hurried into the shop.

    ---

Killian was beyond relieved that Layla liked the house and wanted to live there with him. He knew that with her line of work, they didn't stay in one place too long, and it was only recently that the family had called the bunker their home. So, Killian knew that it was difficult for her to let herself get that far into a relationship, but he was completely glad it was with him. Killian looked up when the door opened wide, "Henry? What's happening?" Killian asked, seeing the lad was out of breath and probably ran to the house.

Layla was still honestly pretty blown away by everything. So much had happened that day. She'd lost Killian, then she'd gotten him back, and now he'd surprised her with a house that she had agreed to move into with him. It was enough to make her head spin, but in the best way possible. When the door burst open, she looked over, surprised to see a rather out of breath Henry standing there. "What's going on, kid?" She asked, able to tell that something was wrong almost instantly. "It's Mr. Gold. His heart's almost gone, and we're all in danger. My parents went with Belle to his shop. I told them I'd come get you two." Her nephew said, talking quickly.
Dean chuckled softly. "I shouldn't be surprised, you're right." He agreed. Things never really seemed to die down in Storybrooke. It's small town appeal was extremely misleading. He also really shouldn't have been all that surprised because, quite honestly, there was never a dull moment whenever he, Sam and Layla were around. He sometimes wondered if they brought that kind of stuff on wherever they were. "Tell us what we can do to help, and we'll do it." He said to Belle as they hurried to the shop. "I'm not sure, I'm hoping the Author knows how we can help Rumple." Belle said.

Killian sighed at Henry's words. Killian didn't want to care about the crocodile at all, but if the town was in danger, Killian was going to help. He was getting ready to take the next step in his relationship and life with Layla, and he didn't need something screwing that all up right now, "Do we know what we can do to help him?" Killian asked curiously as they rushed out of the house and towards Gold's shop. Killian knew that Emma and Dean would already be there, and with all of their combined heads along with Sam's and Belle's they were going to be able to figure this out, he just hoped that nothing bad would happen before they did.

    ---

Emma couldn't help but laugh lightly at his words as they walked into the shop. When Bella spoke, Emma nodded, "How do you think he's going to be able to help?" Emma asked. Truth was, the Author was probably their best lead, but Emma didn't want to put all of her eggs in one basket. She knew there would be something they miss and something bad would happen before they were all able to come out on the winning side. It's what always happened in Storybrooke.
