Lights Will Guide You Home

Emma raised her eyebrows at Dean's words before she looked at Henry, "You stay behind me and your dad. You do everything that he says and do not under any circumstances try to intervene." She said to Henry before looking over at Killian, "Don't think I'm letting you off either, but I think I'm going to wait until we get back to Storybrooke to let you know how I'm going to kill you." She said. As they walked through the fence Emma took a breath, "Oh and Henry?" She asked, "Yeah?" her son replied, "You're so grounded when we get back home."

    ---

Killian watched as Dean spoke to Emma about letting them help before Emma scolded Henry. When she turned to him, he frowned and nodded, "I'm sorry, Swan." He said honestly before the followed everyone into the building. The faster they got Layla out the better. He knew that there was going to be some complication because when wasn't there when it involved this family. He was more than willing to go through it though to get back his love. Layla was going to be so angry that he came along to help because of the fact that he could get hurt, but he didn't care. He was going to save her no matter what.

  • The rest of the town was equally as eery as the diner. There were still window displays in most of the shops. And none of the buildings had been boarded up. It was clear that when the area had been evacuated, everyone had gotten out in a hurry. A town that had once likely been full of life was now pretty much a ghost town. She was cautious as she walked around, keeping her eyes pealed for any sort of movement, and also listening intently to see if she was being followed. That's when she heard voices coming from around the next corner. She readied her weapon, not that a steak knife would do much good against a demon but she had to make do with what she had, and went after the first person who rounded the corner. "Would you watch where you're pointing that thing?" Layla paused when she heard the person speak. "Dean?"
Dean understood that Emma was pissed, and he didn't really blame her. He was impressed by his son's actions, slightly worried because he was showing more and more how he was like Layla as time went on, but he wasn't about to voice that right now. Emma would probably smack him if he did. He headed the group, Sam taking up the back just as a precaution, so he was slightly caught off guard when someone wielding a rusty steak knife came at him. He was relieved to find that it was his sister, though she seemed surprised to see him. "I can see this isn't much of a rescue mission anymore." He said as Layla obviously had escaped wherever Abaddon was keeping her. His sister's attention was focused on everyone else in the group though. She clearly wasn't happy to see that he and Sam hadn't come alone. "Abaddon told Kevin to tell you two come alone." She said, her words obviously directed towards him and Sam. "Emma insisted on coming along, and Henry stole Emma's keys. He and Killian followed us here." He explained to her. He watched as his sister approached her pirate and embraced him tightly, though he wasn't at all surprised to see Layla smack him upside the head soon after. "That's for being incredibly stupid." She said to Killian.

Emma stopped when Dean did and saw Layla. She let out a relieved breath and smiled, "Oh thank god you're okay." She said to Layla before looking at Dean, "Now what?" She asked as she noticed that Layla had gone over to hug Killian before she smacked him upside the head, "I tried to get him to stay back." She explained to her friend. She knew that Layla had to be at least somewhat happy to see Killian though, "How did you get out and away?" Emma asked curiously.

    ---

Killian grinned happily when he saw that the person that had stopped the group was Layla. When she approached him, he hugged her back tightly before she smacked him, "Oi! What did you expect me to do, love? There's not way I was just going to sit back and twiddle my thumbs as I wait for you to return." He said and shook his head, "You should know by now that isn't how I do things." He added and smirked lightly at her. What would have happened if she hadn't made it out and he was stuck in Storybrooke waiting for her. He wanted to be there in case for some reason he never got to see her again.
    February 7th, 2016 at 06:53pm
  • "That doesn't mean I want you here right now. You're right though, I'm not at all surprised that you're here." Layla was both happy to see Killian and annoyed. She was glad that he was there, but not considering the situation. She didn't want him involved in all of this. This was much more dangerous than he likely realized. He'd gone along to get her back obviously, and she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if something were to happen to him. "I don't doubt that you did." She said, directing her words to Emma. She knew that her friend knew her pretty well now, and probably knew that she wouldn't want Killian here at all. "Got the ropes tied around my wrists open first, and went from there. They left me along for a while. I have a feeling it was done intentionally though." She explained, frowning slightly.
"I take it Abaddon isn't here alone?" Dean asked his sister. He wasn't at all surprised when his sister shook her head. "She has a bunch of lower level demons working for her. She's been torturing hunters to get information on our whereabouts." Dean wasn't surprised by that either. Abaddon knew that they had Crowley. It only made sense that she'd do whatever she had to in order to get information on them from other hunters. "You're okay though?" He asked his sister. Layla nodded. "I'm fine. She wouldn't have had much leverage if she already killed me."

Killian raised his eyebrows at Layla's words before he nodded. He knew that she wouldn't want him there and he still came. He didn't care. He wanted to help save her. He wanted to be there for her. Killian watched as Layla talked with Dean and Emma about the other demons that were there and how she thought her escaping wasn't because she was just that good. Killian knew that they were probably in the middle of a trap and he needed to prepare himself for it now that he was there.

    --

Emma nodded at Layla's words before she explained how she got out. Emma nodded once more, "I'm not doubting your ability to escape from hostage situations here, but the way you got out sounds a little good to be true." Emma said as she focused on Layla. She figured that this was probably just this demon's version of a test to see if Layla would escape, clearly knowing she would, and to get all the Winchester siblings together. Dean had been saying since the beginning that this was a trap and they all knew it.
    February 7th, 2016 at 11:32pm
  • Layla sighed. "Don't I know it." She said, shaking her head. She knew that it all was too good to be true. She shouldn't have managed to get out so quickly and easily. It was likely all a part of Abaddon's plan. This was obviously a trap. She'd told her that she wanted all of the Winchesters in one place, and that's what she'd gotten. But now Emma, Killian and Henry were here too. And Layla didn't want something to happen to them. "We shouldn't be out here in the open. I don't know when she or one of the goons working for her is going to show their face again." She said. The diner they'd been keeping her in would probably suffice while they all regrouped.
Dean nodded. "Layla's right. We should get inside somewhere and figure out where we're going from there." He said. This was obviously a trap set up for him and his siblings. Abbadon wanted the three of them there for a reason, and he doubted that it was simply because she wanted Crowley. There was more behind it than that and he'd have to be pretty stupid not to pick up on it. "I know just the place." Layla said. Dean nodded. "Alright, lead the way then." He motioned for his sister to head the group and show them where she had in mind. It ended up being a diner, or what was left of one anyway.

(I'll just put Emma and Killian together for the moment)

Emma and Killian watched as Layla and Dean conversed and then they were all headed towards some diner where they could get out of the open. Emma stuck by Henry's side to make sure he didn't wander off. It was pretty obvious that she was still rather pissed that he and Killian had followed them there, but she didn't really blame them. If she had been told to stay there while someone she loved was in danger she would have snuck out as well and went on her own mission to help get back that person. It still didn't make her any less mad that she didn't see it coming. Killian tried to stay up in the front with Layla. He knew she was angry he had come along as well, but there was no way her was going to leave her side after just getting her back, once again. He knew better in that moment to make flirtatious comments or anything, so he just stayed silent and walked with her into the diner.
    February 8th, 2016 at 04:54am
  • Layla knew that Killian meant well. She knew that she really shouldn't have expected anything less from him. He would have found a way to get there to help find her no matter what, and she appreciated that, but it didn't mean that she wasn't worried about what could easily happen now with him there. She really wouldn't forgive herself if something were to happen to him while he was coming to help save her. Not that she needed saving. She wasn't the damsel in distress type in the slightest. "They were keeping me here." She said as she led everyone into the diner. "From what I could tell, there were at least two lower level demons with her, maybe three."
Dean nodded. "Well, she wanted the three of us here, and now she does." He said as he set his duffle bag down on the counter. He opened it and beginning pulling things out that he figured would come in handy. "Alright, we got Jesus juice, a gun loaded with Devil's trap bullets, shoot a demon and it'll put 'em on lockdown, the angel blade works..." He paused when he heard Sam make his way over to the window and peer out through the blinds. "They're coming." His brother said. "Good." Dean said. He was ready to take down those black eyed sons of bitches. He could tell that it wasn't so good though when his brother turned and he saw the expression on his face. "...they've got assault rifles." He said. "Okay...less good." Dean said. It looked like this was an even worse situation than he'd anticipated it to be.

  • @ killian jones.
Emma's eyes shot up at Sam's words, "Assault rifles?!" She yelled before she looked over at Henry and back at Dean, "Henry go hide where they can't see you." She said and nodded towards the corner of the room where he could hide and not be seen. He nodded before he went over and hid. Emma looked back over at Dean, "What do we do?" She asked curiously.

    ---

Killian frowned at Sam's words before he went over to Layla and looked down at her then over at Dean, "What's the plan, mate?" He asked at the same time as Emma. Killian would do whatever it took to keep Layla safe. He knew that those demons were there for Dean, Sam, and Layla. He knew they wouldn't hesitate to shoot right through he and Emma. He knew they would both help no matter what.
    February 8th, 2016 at 10:28pm
  • "I guess she thought being a Knight of Hell wasn't menacing enough." Layla said, crossing her arms. She didn't realize that Dean had lied to Emma about the severity of the situation earlier. She had no reason to believe that her brother hadn't clued her in on that vital bit of information. She could tell that she wasn't supposed to say anything though when she saw the expression on her brother's face. He looked like one of those kid's who had just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar sort of. "I'm guessing I wasn't supposed to mention that..."
Dean knew that the truth was out there now. Emma would know that he'd lied about what was really going on here, and she'd likely be pissed about that, but there wasn't much he could do about that right now. "No, but that doesn't matter." He said in response to his sister's comment about assuming she wasn't supposed to mention who Abaddon was. "What matters is all of us getting out of here in one piece." He said. "And the plan is to let them know we're here. If they don't know already, they will soon enough." He pulled out his phone and made a quick voice recording before setting it down on the counter. "We're all going out the backdoor, and I'll tell you where we're going from there."

  • @ killian jones.
Emma's eyebrows rose at Layla's words before she looked over at Dean with wide eyes, "A Knight of Hell?! Dean! You told me she was just a regular demon!" Emma yelled at him with a frown on her face before she smacked his arm and shook her head. Of course he would lie to her. This was Dean after all and he always had to make things sound lesser than they actually were.

    ---

"Swan now is not the time to focus on that. We have to get out of here." Killian said to Emma with a sigh before looking over at Dean as he spoke. Killian nodded at Dean's words before he watched as Emma did the same. She went to the back and grabbed her son before they all looked at Dean and waited for him to explain more into detail about what was going to happen.
    February 9th, 2016 at 07:36pm
  • "Okay, I definitely wasn't supposed to mention that..." Layla said, now seeing why Emma had been so surprised by the little reveal. She wasn't surprised that Dean had lied to her friend. She assumed that he did so in the hopes that she would stay back in Storybrooke. That plan had clearly backfired on him quickly. She looked to her brother as he explained what the plan was and nodded, walking over to the counter to grab the gun. She wasn't walking out there unarmed. She followed the others outside and waited for further instructions from Dean.
"I was hoping it would persuade you to stay back in Storybrooke." Dean said, unfazed when she smacked his arm. He was relieved when Killian cut in and got Emma to drop the subject for the time being. Once they all had gone out the back door of the diner, he spoke. "Alright, they took the bait. Now we're going to flank them. Layla, Killian and Sam you go left. Emma, Henry and I will go right." He said. The plan wasn't exactly ideal, but it was the best one he had right now.
    February 9th, 2016 at 09:21pm
  • @ killian jones.
Emma was lucky to have Killian to tell her to drop it or else she wouldn't have. She followed Dean out of the back of the diner before he explained what the plan was from that point. She nodded and walked with Dean to the right of the demons, "Henry you stay behind me and your dad." She said quietly to their son as they came up on them. She wanted to make sure that Henry was the safest he could be. Layla was safe now and her main focus was making sure nothing happened to Henry.

    ---

Killian nodded at Dean's words before following Sam and Layla to the left. Killian knew this plan wasn't the best it could be, but it would have to do in the situation that they were in. He didn't mind just as long as Layla stayed safe and they didn't lose anyone in the process of trying to do this mission against these demons. He knew that Emma's focus would be on Henry and Killian agreed with that. He felt bad for bringing the lad there, but he knew what would have happened if he hadn't.
    February 10th, 2016 at 01:06am
  • "This is all over Crowley?" Dean glanced behind him when Henry spoke. "This demon took Aunt Layla because you have Crowley?" Dean shrugged his shoulders as he walked. "More or less. That's her excuse anyway. Realistically, she's just sick and twisted and has it out for your uncle, aunt and I." He saw no reason to sugarcoat any of this. The way he saw it, Henry was old enough to know the truth. As much of it as he deemed appropriate anyway. He didn't know if Emma would see things his way, and he was still on the same page as her about not letting Henry hunt, but he deserved to know what was going on now that he was here. He paused once he neared the corner of the building. "I think they're still inside...we catch them off guard and take them out one by one..." He said, obviously directing his words more towards Emma than Henry.
"I'm not pissed at you." Layla said, pausing slightly near the other side of the building. She figured that she should at least put that out there. Sure, she still wasn't happy that Killian had followed the others to come rescue her, but she wasn't pissed at him. "I just wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something were to happen to you." She was determined to try to ensure that no one got hurt, but this was Abaddon. She might not have expected her brothers to show up with other people, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. Of course, Layla was forgetting that there was technically an angel here as well, and that was something Abaddon and her demon goons wouldn't expect either.
    February 14th, 2016 at 01:49am
  • @ killian jones.
Emma watched as Henry spoke to Dean and raised her eyebrows in surprise at his words, "Great that's great. Is there any demon that doesn't hate you?" She asked bitterly with a small glare over at Dean. She knew she couldn't let her emotions get the best of them right now. It wasn't the time. She just couldn't help it though. She was irritated beyond belief, and she was clearly letting it show. When Dean explained the plan, she sighed and pulled out her gun, knowing it wouldn't do much good, but she still liked to have it as a safety blanket.

    ---

Killian looked over when Layla spoke to him and nodded, "I know, love. Though you forget that this street flows both ways. I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you, and I wasn't here to be there for you. It would kill me if I was stuck back in Storybrooke and had to wait to find out what happened until everyone got back." He explained and kissed the side of her head quickly before Dean started to explain more of their plan. He nodded and was ready to follow Dean into the building.
    February 14th, 2016 at 05:00am
  • Layla nodded. His words didn't come as a surprise to her at all. His actions didn't surprise her either. When she'd ended up stuck in purgatory with Sam, he hadn't known her very long at all and he'd still insisted on going with Dean. She wasn't at all surprised that he'd gone along this time as well. "I guess my record of near death experiences doesn't really help much either." She said, smiling when he kissed her head. She was about to say something else when a bullet ricocheted off of the building, missing her head by a few inches. She looked up, spotting one of the demons with a machine gun up on the roof of a building across the way. "Run!" Sam shouted before taking off around the building, firing off a couple of shots as he did so. She aimed her gun and fired off a couple of shots as well before following suit.
"Not very likely." Was Dean's only response. He could hear shots being fired on the other side of the building, indicating that something was happening with the others and quickly rounded the corner of the building. He wasn't expecting Abaddon to be standing there, waiting for him though as she took him out easily, leaving him on the ground, staring up at her. He glanced behind him at Emma and Henry. "Get back to the car! Now!" He shouted as he tossed some holy water in the demon's face, distracting her momentarily. "But dad--" Henry started. Dean stood and handed the keys to the Impala to Emma. "Get more bullets, more holy water, get everything! Just go! Go now!"
    February 20th, 2016 at 03:44pm
  • @ killian jones.
Emma was about to respond to Dean's words when she heard the sound of bullets and suddenly there was a woman standing there, Abaddon she assumed, and took out Dean easily. She wanted to help Dean, but she had to think about Henry. She nodded at Dean's words and took the keys before running back to the Impala with Henry. Once there she unlocked the trunk and grabbed everything out of there before she looked at Henry and gave him a stern look, "Henry do not leave this car, do you understand me?" She commanded, not needing an answer. She thought he would try to protest but instead, he just nodded and leaned against the car. Emma kissed his head quickly, "We'll be back. All of us." She said before she took off back to Dean.

    ---

Killian nodded and laughed at Layla's words before there was gun fire and Sam was shouting to run. He took off running after her and Sam, making sure not to take his eyes off Layla in case anything happened. He had almost lost her more than once and wasn't planning on actually losing her any time soon. Killian could feel his heartbeat racing in nervousness, "What about Dean, Emma, and Henry?" He asked as they ran. He knew that Dean could more than likely handle himself, but Killian was worried about Henry and if he was hurt or not.
    February 23rd, 2016 at 04:45am
  • "Emma and Henry are with Dean. He isn't going to let anything happen to either of them." Layla told Killian. She knew her brother, and she knew that he'd put his own life in jeopardy if it meant keeping Emma and Henry safe. She wouldn't put it past Dean to send both of them back to the Impala if things got bad. She knew that her brother had tried keeping them out of this all to begin with, but that obviously hadn't worked, so she wouldn't be at all surprised if he did the next best thing. She swore when a bullet grazed her shoulder. It was enough to slow her down momentarily, but she'd definitely had worse before. Sam was the first to enter the building, Layla paused to check her shoulder. There was blood, but she wasn't going to let it stop her right now. "I'm fine." She assured Killian before following her brother inside. When she stepped inside, she realized that it was a trap. Sam was on the floor, two of Abaddon's goons surrounding him with guns pointed at him. One of them aimed their gun at her when she walked in as she pointed her own gun at them. "Put the gun down, princess, or I put one straight on into your brother's skull."
Dean turned to face Abaddon once Emma and Henry had left. The knight of hell was starting to recover from the blast of holy water he'd sent her way moments before. She plastered a smile onto her face as she looked at Dean. "Alone at last." She said. Dean drew the angel blade from the pocket of his jacket, prepared to fight and do whatever he had to do to survive this. When she started coming towards him, he swung the blade in her direction, but she was expecting it as she grabbed his wrist, bringing his arm behind his back as she disarmed him with ease. "I missed you." She said in a sickeningly sweet voice. "Did you miss me?" She threw him to the ground, twisting his arm behind his back. "I so appreciate you boys coming when I call. That's what I like most about you Winchesters. So loyal and obedient...and suicidally stupid...I like that too. I like it a lot." She ran her fingers through his hair, that infuriating smile still on her face. "Are we going to fight or make out because I'm getting some real mixed signals here?" Dean asked, never one to admit that someone else had the upper hand.
    February 23rd, 2016 at 05:44pm
  • @ killian jones.
Emma hurried back to where she left Dean. She approached and pulled out the holy water and saw Abaddon on top of Dean, making Emma grow angry, "Well I really hope it isn't the latter of the two because then I would have to admit to getting jealous." She said before she sprayed the demon with the water, making her cringe and fall off of Dean. Emma grabbed his arm and pulled him up, and she handed him the black bag with everything in it.

    ---

Killian frowned and was instantly there to try and help Layla when the bullet grazed her shoulder. When she assured him that she was fine, he hesitantly nodded as he followed her and Sam inside. He was shocked to find two people standing on the other side of the door to greet them. When the told Layla to put her gun down, he instantly wanted to protect her to make sure she wasn't hurt even more.
    February 24th, 2016 at 06:29am
  • Dean sort of wished it had taken Emma longer to return from getting supplies out of the Impala, he was sort of hoping to have the situation with Abaddon handled at that point, but he was also pretty damn glad that she had shown up when she had. On the one hand, he had more supplies, but on the other, now Emma was face to face with Abaddon as well. "I suppose you Winchesters aren't the best listeners. I do recall telling your little friend that you and Sam were to come alone." The knight of hell said as she recovered from the blast of holy water sent her way by Emma. "Yeah, well I never was one to follow instructions." Dean said as he pulled a gun from the bag, loaded with demon's trap bullets and aimed them at her, getting off a few shots. He was a bit taken aback when they didn't seem to have any sort of a lasting impact. Instead, she let out a laugh and smirked as she lifted her shirt to reveal a bullet proof vest. "You're going to have to do more than that to take me out...cavalar...beats magic bullets. I love the future."
Layla ignored the pain in her shoulder, she'd worry about that later. She had more pressing issues to deal with right now, like her brother being held at gunpoint. "Layla, drop the gun." Sam told her, causing her gaze to shift from the demon aiming his gun at her over to her brother momentarily. It was clear that he'd been knocked around a bit prior to being left in this predicament. "I would do what your brother says, sweetheart." The demon's tone and the sickeningly sweet smile on his face was infuriating. She exchanged a look with her brother briefly before focusing her attention back on the evil son of a bitch in front of her. "You're bluffing." She said. "You kill me, Abaddon won't be able to use me as her next meat suit. She can't possess me if I'm already dead."
