Mia smiled at Brian. She pulled him aside, biting her lip. "I want to take her in," she said. "I want to make sure she never gets hurt again."

"What," Brian questioned. "You want a kid? Can't you see if she has some family who will take good care of her."

Piper moaned out his name loudly before she found her hips still and her eyes closed as she began panting.

Matt groaned softly as he spilled his load inside of her, not able to hold it back anymore. He panted, his body falling limp.

Mia sighed softly. "It's more like a little sister," she said. "I just . . . I feel connected to her. I feel like she's my responsibility now."

"Are you sure," Brian questioned.

Piper collapsed on top of Matt, resting her head on his chest as she closed her eyes again.

Matt slid his arms around her, rubbing her back. "You can't be comfortable like that," he said.

"I am sure," Mia said, nodding her head. "I want to take her." She knew this was a crazy idea, but she wanted to do it, even if she had to go to court for it.

"I don't feel comfortable with this Mia," Brian admitted.

Piper readjusted so she was lying comfortably on top of Matt. "I love you Matt."

Matt smiled. "I love you too, Piper," he said, kissing her lips softly.

Mia frowned, letting go of his hands. "Fine," she mumbled. She was kind of hurt. She figured that he would support her with anything she wanted, but apparently not.

"I'm sorry," Brian mumbled. "I'm just not comfortable around kids."

Piper tried to stay awake but found herself unable to, falling asleep in Matt's arms.

Matt smiled, pulling a blanket over them and closed his eyes, dozing off as well.

"Then I don't expect you to stay," Mia mumbled. She moved away from him and walked back in the room to make sure Emily was still okay.

Brian frowned, upset and pissed off that Mia would just drop him like that over a kid. He walked away from Mia, pulling out his phone and called Zack to pick him up since they had taken Mia's car to the hospital.

Mia talked to the cop when she got there, telling her everything she knew and then let the cop talk to the mom and Emily herself.

Brian sat down in Matt's backyard, waiting for Piper to show up with her new baby boy, Xander. The redhead had taken a while to be comfortable bringing the baby around more than Mia, himself and Matt. Now Xander was four months old. Brian wasn't even sure if in that entire time Zack had seen his kid except for after Piper had him.

Piper walked into Matt's back yard, attempting to juggle carrying Xander and his diaper bag. She managed to get into the house, setting the diaper bag down on Matt's living room couch before she carried her son outside. She pressed a kiss to Xander's cheek, smiling when his green eyes looked directly into her blue ones. The redhead walked outside, wondering if Zack would be at the party since she had been trying to get him to interact with their son more. It honestly upset her that Brian and Matt spent more time with him than his own father did.

Matt smiled when he saw Piper, standing up and walking over to her. "Hey," he said. He leaned down and kissed Xander's forehead before he pecked her lips. "Want me to take him off you for a bit?" He knew people probably found it awkward that he was kind of fathering Zacky's kid, but it just felt so natural to him.

Mia smiled as she pulled up to Matt's house, glancing in the backseat at Emily. It had taken a while and a lot of fighting, but she'd finally adopted the little girl and got full custody of her. Her parents had both went to jail on multiple accounts and her older brothers went to live with their estranged grandmother. "Are you ready to meet my friends?" she asked. She'd slowly been getting Emily socialized with other people, starting with Piper and Matt. She'd taken a liking to them so Mia was hopeful she'd like the rest of the guys too.

Emily nodded her head. "Yeah," she said.

Brian drank from his beer, smiling when he saw Xander. The kid was honestly the only one he didn't feel awkward and unsure around. It definitely made him wonder sometimes if he could have been okay around Emily. Mia adopting the little girl had made it hard for them and they hadn't seen each other since Piper had been giving birth to Xander and he missed her every single day.

"It's fine babe," Piper reassured him. "If anything he'll probably want to try crawling around again." Her son had already attempted to start crawling a few days now and it had excited and stressed her out. Piper of course already had her house baby proofed but Matt's wasn't completely and his backyard definitely wasn't. The pool was out in the open and didn't have a fence around it.

Matt nodded his head, smiling when Bella ran over and started sniffing Piper. "She's getting more interested about him," he said. "Don't feel like you have to introduce them yet." He led her over to a chair and helped her sit down. He sat next to her, sighing softly. He actually kind of hoped that Zacky didn't show up.

Mia got out and helped Emily out, leading her inside and to the backyard. She smiled when Emily immediately rushed to Piper's side, asking about Xander.

Brian's body tensed slightly when he saw Emily run over to Piper. He knew the little girl adored the little baby. He had a feeling Emily considered Xander a little brother already in the short time she had known him. He finished off his beer and got up to grab another one.

Piper knelt down with Xander still in her arms, letting Bella sniff her son while Emily cooed at the baby. The redhead smiled as both Matt's lab and Mia's new daughter seemed to be fascinated by the four month old.

Matt smiled, glad that Xander would already have a good friend. He thought Emily was really sweet, and from what Mia had said, she already thought of Xander as a little brother.

Mia stopped when she saw Brian. She'd known he was going to be there, but at the same time, it still hurt to see him. She knew he probably hated her for leaving him, but he should have been there for her.

Brian figured he'd grow some balls and finally talked to Mia since she was alone. He walked over to her and stood nervously in front of her. "Hey," he mumbled. "How have you been?"

Piper told Emily to sit down when she asked to hold Xander. When Emily sat down Bella followed them, causing a few people that were around to chuckle. Piper told Emily how to hold the baby, smiling at the little girl when she held her son in her arms. Emily looked so happy and it made Piper happy too.

Matt smiled as he watched Piper and Emily. "You're gonna be an amazing mom, Piper," he whispered into her ear.

Mia bit her lip gently. "Oh, uh, I've been okay," she said. "The adoption process was hell, but I'm finally getting things sorted out again. How have you been?"

"Honestly miserable without you," Brian admitted. "And it's really not fun being the third wheel to the Matt and Piper romance even if her and Zack's kid is cute."

"I'm still learning but I think I'm doing good so far," Piper replied.
