The Little Things In Our Souls

Rey's eyes just barely narrowed at the mention of a servant, her jaw clenching as she gave a nod of her head. There was nothing left for her to say, if Xander had his eye on someone else, it wasn't as if she had any right to be jealous. They had never been anything more than friends with benefits at the height of their relationship. She had no claim on any part of him and as much as she wanted to stamp her feet and declare such ownership, Rey doubted such a thing would go over well with Xander.

Walking along with him, Rey began to relax when he stated her sabre was okay. Her eyes slipped shut, the tension leaving her shoulders as she gave a nod of her head. "Thank you," she breathed, opening her eyes and not bothering to hide her tiny smile. It was such a relief to know the weapon was safe. She had some sort of clue what it took to make one but she had never attempted such a feat and knowing what Xander had been put through to produce it? She had never received such a kind gift and she certainly didn't want to lose it for any sort of reason. A reason that she wasn't prepared to offer up to Xander.

With a smirk, Rey shrugged as she reached behind and wrapped her fingers around Xander's wrist, tugging him forward as she sought out the training room. "We should probably train if we're going to be fighting each other, don't you think?"

"Train? Stretch the sore wounds more like," Xander let her lead him to the training room, watching her little hair bobs bounce up and down as she hurried down the hall. Though it only later occurred to him that she had no idea where to go. He caught up and overtook her, twisting his wrist ever so slightly to free it and grab her hand instead. He gave a small pull to the side, leading them down another corridor before stopping by a sliding door. It opened on his command and he stuck close to the wall, walking past the main gym where a few of his crew were fighting each other with practice swords or other weaponry. Some, upon seeing him, gave him a nod but said nothing of the girl.

Xander took them to a secluded room and shut the door behind them, taking off his upper layers and grabbing a staff from the wall. "I know what I want if I win." He spun it around in his hand and turned to Rey, smirking a little. "I want to see you in a maid's outfit." He extended his arm, his staff lightly tapping Rey's side with a newfound confidence and new spark of mischief in his eye. "I will see you in a maid's outfit."

Rey followed after Xander without much need to be prompted, eyeing the few crew members that were training. She didn't seem to recognize any of them but didn't bother to comment on this because it wasn't as if she meant Xander's entire crew during her days training with him. And after they had thought he had been killed. Rey jerked at the thought, her eyes narrowing as tension leaked into each and every one of her movements. Kylo would pay one day, she was sure of it. He had taken so much from her, from her family, from others that Rey was done caring. She didn't care what it took to get back to Kylo and suddenly, she found herself filled with an anger that she could use during training. Before tucking it away and using it to fight another day.

Her eyes narrowed as she watched Xander lift a staff from the wall, stepping over to pick up a similar looking weapon. Rey scoffed at his words, turning around to stare at him. "Oh? So you want me in boring clothes? Sort of like what I wore on Jakku?" Rey asked, raising an eyebrow as she tilted her head to the side. She knew damn well what Xander was playing at but she was playing dumb, just to see his reaction. "You don't even have to win to see that. All you have to do is ask, buddy."

With that, Rey didn't wait around to hear anything that Xander had to say before she launched herself across the room, bringing her staff up to strike at him.
