He seemed to be interested in her, so hopefully he wouldn’t become annoyed. After another moment she had a thought, You never told me how you got my number. she texted back once more.
“Because I don’t.” He hissed at her. “All you do is annoy and pester and piss me the hell off, Brooklyn. It’s been pretty damn obvious for a while, don’t you think?!”
Brett couldn’t even bring himself to look at her. In his eyes all she ever would be was a pathetic, lonely girl. He narrowed his eyes at her, and then rolled them as he saw her start to cry. “And here comes the fucking water works…” He scoffed. “Why don’t you just call your sister, because I don’t want to deal with this.”
