Olivia rolled her eyes dramatically. Brooklyn always had the tendency to be over the top. However, Olivia appreciated her sister’s optimism. It had been far too long since Olivia had been in any type of relationship.

Olivia bit down on her lip and brought her legs up underneath her body as she turned to look at her sister. “I mean I don’t know if you would call it serious, but he is coming to see me when I go to the Texas event…” She offered Brooklyn a small grin, knowing exactly what her sister would be thinking.

Brooklyn hadn't been able to contain her giggle as she looked up to her sister, nudging Olivia with her elbow. "That's awesome though. I'm happy for you," she started, taking a deep breath. She allowed herself just a moment of self pity, wondering what it would be like should she go with Olivia. But as soon as the thought appeared, Brooklyn pushed it away. Fantasies were no good in her life.

Clearing her throat, Brooklyn straightened up a bit. "You'll have to keep me updated, Liv. As much as I can because I bet you, by the end of it, you'll be kissing!"

A very apparent flush streaked across Olivia’s face. Olivia reached out and playfully swatted at her sister’s knee. “We will not,” she mumbled. “I mean. I hope—but let’s not get our hopes up too much.”
The weekend of the concert finally came. Olivia had just gotten into her hotel room and placed her bags down. Flopping backwards onto the bed, she pulled her phone out and scrolled until she got to her and Jensen’s conversations. Just got here. Ya’ll be safe.

Just landed, sweetheart. Jensen answered the text after nearly an hour delay. He let out a sigh as he headed toward the shuttle area of the airport. He was more than ready to leave the airport before anyone spotted him because he knew just how long he would be delayed if too many people noticed him.

Jensen was lucky to get away before anyone noticed him, climbing into the back of the suv and telling the man where to take him. Letting out a yawn, he shifted around in his seat and relaxed. Do you want the night to settle in? We can always meet up tomorrow. Whatever you want, darling.
Brooklyn had waited around until Olivia left before she gathered her bag and made her wa back over to Brett's, hoping that she could fix things. She wasn't all that sure how she was going to pull it off but God if she didn't love him and she needed to try! Her shoulders pulled together as she pulled up to the house, deciding to leave her bag in the backseat as she headed up the walk way. Taking a deep breath, Brook raised her hand to knock on the front door, not wanting to simply waltz in and risk upsetting him.

Doesn’t matter to me. Rest if you need to. I’m just hanging out at the hotel. : )

Olivia prayed that she wasn’t coming off as too forward. But the texting and random phone calls weren’t cutting it for her anymore. Part of her just needed to see Jensen. She was curious if that ever apparent flame that transpired between the two of the at the con was still there. Yet, she didn’t want to come off as clingy. Oh god, did she hope that she was not coming off as clingy.
The sound of someone knocking at the door startled Brett from his nap that he was taking in his chair. With a pissed off grunt, he raised himself unwillingly from his position. He stalked over to the door and pulled it open, his annoyance growing and very visible on his face as he saw Brooklyn standing on the other side. He moved out of her way so she could walk in, and then slammed the door closed once more. “The fuck have you been?”

I didn't come all the way here to rest, darling. How about I call a taxi and meet you in the lobby in... half an hour? Should be enough time for me to get settled.

Jensen knew he could be pushing Olivia a bit too quickly but he hoped that it wasn't too much. It had been far longer than he cared to admit since he last met a girl that he took a genuine interest in. Shoving the phone into his pocket, Jensen sighed, hoping to relax the rest of the way to the hotel. If he had it his way, the rest of his day would be exciting at least.
Fear flashed across Brooklyn's features as she studied Brett. She knew that look anywhere. Leaving had clearly been the wrong option but she also knew staying would have proved to be a bad idea as well. There really wasn't any sort of winning when it came to Brett, Brooklyn just wasn't ready to admit that yet. "I... you told me to leave," Brooklyn spoke, making sure to keep her voice lowered as she wrung her hands together. "So I just... I stayed at Liv's for a few days. I figured you wouldn't want to see me."

Olivia grinned ear to ear when she read over Jensen’s text. She read it over about five times before finally replying. See you soon, handsome! Olivia quickly erased the text, shaking her head and her excitableness. See ya then, Jay. she sent instead.

Thirty-five minutes later Olivia was hanging out in the lobby, wearing a summer dress and boots. She hoped that she looked just casual enough to not come off as dying to impress the man. When she finally saw him, she grinned and gave him a small wave.
Brett rolled his eyes as he went back over to his chair. He flopped back down and stared at the T.V. When he noticed that Brooklyn was still cemented to her spot, he looked over at her. “You just gonna fucking stand there or are you gonna make yourself useful? The kitchen is a fucking disaster. What are you good for if I have to tell you this shit all the time, Brooklyn. Dammit.”

Jensen had tried a bit more than usual getting ready. He'd only had ten minutes or so to jump in the shower and change into a nicer pair of jeans and a button down shirt. It was his usual first date attire, it seemed to do the trick as he never had received any complaints thus far. Heading down to the lobby, Jensen left his phone in his pocket, trying to look more relaxed than he felt.

"Hey, stranger," Jensen called once he was close enough to her, offering her a little grin as he closed the distance between the two of them. "How was your trip?"
Brooklyn had convinced herself to step toward Brett and ask if she could sit with him, only to halt in her thoughts when he spoke. She was only thankful that she hadn't made such a stupid mistake, giving a short nod before she spun around on her heal and raced into the kitchen to begin cleaning up.

Olivia wasn’t sure if she should reach out and pull him into a hug or if she should shake his hand. Why was this such a hard decision? The feeling of butterflies swarming her stomach, much like the first time she had encountered the man, was ever present once more. She grinned at him and casually ran a hand through her hair.

“It was pretty good, a little long.” She smirked, “There was a baby screaming the entire time, but what can you do?”
Brett remained cemented in his position, his eye glued to the television as he tried to drown out the noise that was being emitted from the kitchen. In recent days, Brett felt better with Brooklyn gone. He knew that she was happier with her sister—hell he wasn’t that cold hearted. But when she was around he couldn’t control his urge to monitor and force her every move.

When the noise eventually became too much for him to bare, he pushed himself out of his chair and went into the kitchen. “Making enough noise?”

Jensen was all too used to going on dates that didn't end up leading anywhere because he either got bored of the sorts of girls that laughed at each and every one of his jokes because he was just so funny. It was always great in the beginning but damn, even Jensen knew he wasn't funny all the damn time. He was actually pretty corny when you got to know him well enough.

"Headphones, darling. Ever heard of them?" Jensen asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked over to her. He let out a small laugh, motioning toward the lobby doors. "Let's go. I think the taxi should be here by now."
Brooklyn hadn't even batted an eye when she stepped into the kitchen because she was just so used to cleaning up after Brett's messes that it didn't phase her anymore. She was so focused on scrubbing the stove down that she jumped when Brett spoke behind her. She whirled around, her heart jumping to her throat as she hung her head. "Oh. I... I'm sorry. I didn't.." she trailed off, chewing on her bottom lip.

"Did you want anything to drink? I can start supper if you want as soon as I'm done with the stove," Brooklyn spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. She knew that things were stressed between them so she was just trying to make things as good as she could while still keeping her distance.

Olivia laughed and nodded, “Well, yeah, but…” She didn’t really have a valid excuse as to the headphones. She was sure Jensen was far more travel-savvy then she was. She followed Jensen out to the taxi and slid in first, smiling shyly as he got in after her.

“How was your flight down?” She asked, trying to make conversation. “You’ve been all over lately, I’m sure you’re exhausted.”
Brett rolled his eyes, pushing her out of the way as he made his way to the fridge. He pulled out a beer and popped the top of it. He downed half of it before he even bothered to respond to her question. “I already ordered a damn pizza about 30 minutes ago before you decided to finally show back up, so no.”

As Brett was leaving the room he turned around and looked back at her, “You missed a big as spot on the stove, you might wanna re do it. Looks like shit in here, Brooklyn.”

Jensen hesitated for a moment before he pulled the old-age move of yawning, his arm just so happening to slide behind Olivia's shoulder. He gave her a small grin as he shrugged his shoulders. "A little bit tired, yeah, but at least I get to spend it with someone cute," he teased with a wink.

Leaning forward, he told the cab driver where they were headed before he settled back in his seat. "We're going to my favourite restaurant in Houston. It's not super fancy but I've never once been disappointed by what I was served there so I hope that's alright with you."
Brooklyn watched Brett warily, wanting to reason with him about the beer but she had learned a long time ago how that sort of conversation would go. She knew that there was no point in trying to keep him sober because that would only serve to piss him off and make him drink more, it was a never ending circle.

She glanced over to the stove, nodding at Brett's words. "I'm sorry, I'll get right to it," her voice was still barely loud enough to be heard. Once she was left alone, she turned, filling the pot with soap and hot water before she moved over to the fridge to clean it out.

Olivia smirked as she noted Jensen’s not-so-discreet move, and then immediately blushed at his small compliment. She studied his face for a moment. In the back of her mind, she was wondering if it was smart for her to be getting involved with an actor. She wondered why he wasn’t already in a relationship. He wasn’t a bad guy, surely he would have snagged a girl by now.

“Yeah, that’s fine with me, Jay.” She stated and smiled at him. “I’m just starving, really.”
When the pizza came, Brett got it at the door. He had only ordered a small pizza, so he took it back to his chair and sat with the box in his lap. “Might wanna get yourself some food, Brook.” He called to her from his seat. “Ain’t enough for the both of us.”

Brett spend the rest of his evening actively ignoring every single noise that Brooklyn made. How had she not gotten the point by now? Had she not realized how much he didn’t want her?

Jensen's thumb began to brush her shoulder gently, trying to ease whatever was on her mind. He could only imagine what was racing around her mind but he wasn't one to question, not so quickly when he barely knew her.

"Pick whatever you want off the menu," Jensen spoke with a light shrug of his shoulders. Money had never been a problem to him, not once he started to make it big. So long as his house was paid off and his bills were paid, nothing else really mattered. It was only a few more minutes before they pulled up to the restaurant and he helped her out.

Once they were seated, Jensen looked up to her with a gentle smile. "Tell me about your photography."
Brooklyn was surprised by the offer to grab some food but she didn't dare voice, knowing all too well that if she questioned him, the 'generous' offer could be taken away just as quickly as it was given. She kept quiet, staying in the kitchen even as she ate the lunch meat sandwich that she had tossed together.

She made sure to pack together a lunch so that Brett would have something to take for himself the next day. Chewing on her bottom lip, Brooklyn peaked into the living room. "Do you want me to start you a bath or something?"

Olivia was surprised that he had asked her about her photography. Every other guy that she had tried to date usually just talked about themselves the whole time. She wasn’t used to being asked about herself, so the question stunned her a bit.

“Uh,” She laughed a little nervously. “I started a few years back, maybe six. I got my degree and then started putting together a portfolio. I’m just now starting to score some big opportunities. It has been hell trying to get my name out there.
Brooklyn’ voice was like nails on a chalkboard to Brett when she asked dumb questions. Brooklyn knew exactly what was expected of her. So if she did, then why the hell wasn’t she taking matters into her own hands? Over the past few years Brett had had the same routine. She should know not to ask stupid fucking questions.

“Well, yeah, I guess that would be fuckin’ nice of you to do, wouldn’t it?” He snapped, his voice raising at the end of his sentence. As he saw her stand there wide-eyed, he jumped to his feet. “Never mind, just fucking forget it.”

The same old questions that he seemed to be asked on each and every date drove him crazy so he did his best to change the subject as early on he could. That way he wouldn't be droning on and on about how much he just loved acting and how much it fulfilled him. While he absolutely adored the work that he did, it got old only ever talking about himself.

Jensen grinned at her words, nodding as he sipped at the water that they had been given. He had ordered a glass of wine but it hadn't quite come yet. "Yeah, you wouldn't believe how hard it was for me to get my name out there before I started Supernatural. I was about ready to give up on it, actually so I guess you can say it was meant to be."
Brooklyn jumped, her eyes widening as Brett yelled. "I'm sorry, I just... I didn't know if you wanted it yet," she attempted to explain, turning around to rush toward the bathroom down the hall. She turned on the shower, chewing on her bottom lip as she left the room. When she came into view of Brett again, Brooklyn stilled after pressing herself into the wall, as close to it as she could.

"The shower is ready for you," Brooklyn whispered, hanging her head as she took a deep breath. "I'll just go get the bed ready," she mumbled, twisting around once he moved past her.

As the date went on, Olivia could feel herself slipping into the trap of a major crush on Jensen. She wasn’t quite sure if this was an official date, or just one to hang out, so she stuck with basic questions. She learned a lot about Jensen’s hobbies and where he had grown up—she tried to stay away from asking him about his job. She was sure that he spoke about it enough as it was. Besides, she really wanted to get to know Jensen, and not who he was while he worked.

After they had finished their meal, and as they were waiting on the check, Olivia leaned on the table with her elbows, her hands supporting her chin. “Thanks for dinner, Jay. Everything was super good.”
Brett tried to spend as much time in the shower as possible. He stayed underneath the water until it finally turned cold, really not in the mood to go out and speak with Brooklyn. He had had the past few days to himself, and they were quite relaxing to him in all honestly. He didn’t have to deal with Brooklyn’s self-pity, her annoying voice, or the way she walked around the house looking like a lost puppy.

When he came out of the shower, his towel was wrapped around his waist. He spotted Brooklyn sitting on the bed and rolled his eyes, “You don’t have to fucking follow me around all the damn time. We also have a spare bedroom for a damn reason.”
