I'll Be There

She smiled a little, "Why would our relationship to Baekhyun make things difficult?" she asked obliviously, "We're talking now aren't we?"

"I will fight them to the death," he said dramatically.

"To the death? That's dedication. I'll just let you be my bias to save the lives of your members." She laughed a little.

He shrugged. "I feel like he'll have a problem with us talking. I wanted to ask you about it."

"I don't see why he'd care," she murmured softly, "He's the one who ended things," it was something she kept to herself. Things had ended peacefully - but he was the one who didn't feel anything for her anymore, not her. Katie was always oblivious to the way people felt about her, suffering from social anxiety made it hard for her to realize that people cared about her.

He smiled a little, "To the death," he agreed, "but if you just give in thats great too,"

"I'd like to see you fight for it, but not if it means one of them dies for it." She grinned. "So I can give in."

He shrugged. "You and I both know how he can get. I jsut wanted to talk to you about it first."

Katie furrowed her brow in confusion when she looked at him, "Minseok, I feel like I missing something here," she murmured softly then stopped walking. This sounded like he was talking about a relationship but they were friends, right? Why would Baekhyun care if they were friends.

He smiled, "Great, I'd hate to be mortally wounded,"

He smiled weakly and turned to her. "Hmm?"

"That wouldn't be good. We need you to sing, and that might cause problems." She nodded, looking into the kitchen for some food. "Hungry?"

"Are you...I'm not good with knowing what people are saying especially about relationships with other people; why would he care if we're friends unless you meant something else," she murmured softly rubbing her neck a little.

He smiled a little,"Come on lets eat, you're probably hungry,"

She nodded a little and followed him, grabbing a plate. "I'm starving. The food smells amazing though."

He shrugged. "I want to get to know you, in a way that would change our friendship. I'm hesitant because you are my friend, and so is Baekhyun." He explained to her.

She nodded a little and ran a hand through her hair, her heart was near beating out of her chest and she knew she had to calm down. "I don't know how he would react to that," she murmured softly.

He nodded a little,"It does," he agreed with a small smile.

"But what do you think about it? Its dangerous, dating a friend's ex girlfriend. So I have to be careful. But I want to." He said to her, turning so he faced her completely.

She grabbed some food and sat down, going away from the others. "So tell me something, what do you want to talk about?"

"Uhm," he smiled, "I don't know, I'm not really good at picking topics," he laughed a bit.

She felt her face flush a little and she nodded, "I know, it's a weird situation," she murmured softly, "I'm interested, Minseok I always have been but you should talk to him first,"

"What's your favorite color?" She asked curiously. "Do you like pets?" She said randomly and laughed.

"I know. Thats why I wanted to talk to you first, make sure I had a reason to talk to Baekhyun about it. He won't like it though."

"My favorite color is green and I love pets just no time to care for one like I should," he said smiling a little, "Its unfortunate,"

Katie nodded a bit before chewing on her bottom lip, "I dont want him upset with you," she told him gently.

"My favorite color is green too," She smiled a little. "I have two dogs, theyre everything to me."

"Neither do I but what can I do if I might like someone he dated?" He asked her. "Ignore it?"

"I don't know," she murmured softly as she looked at him then chewed on her bottom lip, "Speak with him about it, then we'll talk,"

He smiled, "What kind of dogs?" he asked curiously. He knew Jongin and Sehun had dogs but he'd only seen them a handful of times due to their work schedule.

"Siberian Huskies," She smiled. "They're babies but they're huge. I have two boys, named Thor and Loki."

He sighed. "I'm wondering whether its too dangerous to even consider doing. I don't want to ruin my friendship with him, but at the same time... I don't know."

Jongdae nodded,"I'd love to meet them," he said to her, "Maybe we can walk them one time,"

Katie nodded a little, she knew this was not a possibility - she didn't want to ruin her friendship with Minseok or Baekhyun either. "Maybe we shouldn't," she murmured softly,"It's not just Baekhyun I'm worried about,"

"They'd love that. They're friendly and love meeting new people. Well, Loki's the more friendly. Thor plays uninterested at first."

He nodded. "Its dangerous. I wanted to ask before we went any further but maybe we shouldnt. Maybe we just need to leave it how it is."

Katie nodded a little,"I think you're right," she murmured softly, despite the feelings that welled up inside her when she said those words; she stood strong in appearance. "Besides, with scheduling it wouldn't end the way either of us want it to," she whispered softly but she lacked the conviction in her words.

He smiled,"Cool maybe we can do that sometime, it'd be fun," he agreed, "and it'll help me decide if I want dogs,"

His eyes narrowed in thought as he looked at her. "Are you lying right now?" He asked curiously. "You dont sound like you mean the words you say."

"You'll meet them tomorrow when you come over. The only thing is they're very smart. You have to stand your ground, and they'll listen. Otherwise they're like toddlers." She laughed a little.
