Just Once

She nodded a little and turned, waving Kate down by the car. "Kate, look who I found." She said, walking over with him and gesturing. "We need you to take us to your manager. And leader. As soon as possible." She said seriously. "It's urgent."

She walked over and looked at him, "We met once, a couple months ago," she said to Yugyeom and smiled a little as she looked at him, "I was a bit drunk, but I remember hanging out.. I don't know if you remember me or not,"

He nodded,"ah! I do remember you, you didn't even drink that much," he teased, "you need to see Hyung? Let me call him hold on," he said as he pulled out his phone knowing that he might be upset with him but it did seem urgent the girl looked pale and sick - he hoped it was nothing serious. "Hyung, I ran into someone you know,"

JB answered his phone, looking at the caller id. "Oh, Yugyeom?" He said, answering and looking at the table in front of him. He sat in the hotel room with his manager, with some of the others around him. "Someone I know? Who?" He asked curiously. "Where are you?"

Avalon leaned against her car and sighed, watching Yugyeom and turning to Kate. She wondered how this was going to go, she hoped it ended up well, but with a situation like this, there was no way to tell.

"I went shopping but no one was listening to me so I went anyway," he said to him sighing, "But the girl, the brunette from that one concert in New York," he said to him in Korean as he thought about it, "Pretty, short, a little curvy - shes got blue eyes," he said describing her to him. "She says she needs to talk to you and its urgent, hyung" he said relaying the message with a small smile.

She looked at her hands then began to nibble on the crackers while she waited for what he had to say. "I feel so gross," she mumbled with a pout.

Avalon looked at Yugyeom and whispered. "Tell him today is when we need to talk," She said to him. "He can come to our hotel room, because I don't think Kate feels up to travleling around to his." She said seriously.

JB shook his head and sighed. "You should have gotten someone to come with you!" He said, raising his voice slightly. "Whatever, what do they want? What is she doing here?" He asked curiously. "Can it wait until tomorrow?"

"She lives in New York, remember so she's local but she said it's important that you talk today, hyung, she looks really sick. Her friend suggests that you and manager hyung could meet at their hotel," he said to him lightly as he chewed on the inside of his cheek ignoring the previous comment. He saw Kate holding her hand out for the phone then held up a hand, "She wants to talk to you, I'm going to hand over the phone, Hyung," he said then handed it to her.

She sighed, "You probably don't want to talk to me, but its important," she said in broken Korean. She'd studied abroad for a year and thats how she'd gotten into kpop, "I wouldn't have come to find you if it weren't serious, and I doubt you'd want this kind of information over the phone,"

Avalon sighed, looking back and forth between Kate and Yugyeom. She felt like this would end up being a fight, and she wasn't looking forward to it. Not for Kate, it was the last thing she needed.

JB sighed, rubbing his face. "Where is the hotel? This better be important," He muttered to himself. "Have Yugyeom text it to me," He said. "We can come around 6, we have a interview at 5. Okay?"

"thats fine, I'll have him text you the information," she said to him gently then thanked him quietly before handing over the phone and running to the nearest trash can to throw up once again. She closed her eyes a little then whined a little, "Come on crackers - do your job," she said softly as she rinsed her mouth with the ginger ale then spit it out. "Gross,"

He got the information and texted it to him, "I have to go, but it was nice seeing you again Kate - please feel better soon," he said as he bowed to them both before turning to head back to the hotel.

She went over to Kate and helped hold up her hair and sighing. "Wait!" She said, running over to Yugyeom. "Give me your number, just in case. I need to be able to call someone," She said, handing him her phone. "I'll only use it for emergencies, don't worry."

JB hung up and turned to the manager, telling him that he needed to go somewehre at six before sitting back down and working on his phone.

He looked at her then nodded as he put his number in her phone, "I hope she is okay," he said softly as he saw her getting sick again and made a face. "Has she seen a doctor yet?"

"Not yet," She said, taking her phone back. "Thanks, I won't use it unless absolutely necessary," She said, nodding a little. She went back to Kate and sighed. "I'm gonna get you a couple of plastic bags so we can go to the hotel," She said, going into the nearest convinence store and coming out with them. "Here you are."

She nodded a little then closed her eyes, "I feel like death is waiting to take me, ugh, room service better be bomb at this place," she murmured softly, "I'm gonna be asking for shit all night at this rate - do you think this will last long? I hope not, I've lost almost twenty pounds you know?" She told her as she got into the car then laid her head back on the seat.

"Yeah and you look great?" She said, teasing a little. "You know despite the vomiting and stuff," She said as she drove to the hotel which ended up being just a few blocks away and parking valet. She got out and asked a bellhop to put their bags onto a cart. "I'll go check in. You just try not to throw up," She said laughing a litle as she went over to check in, getting their keys and walking back over. "We're on the tenth floor," She said, helping her stand up.

Kate was laying on the bed watching Tv with her eyes closed because any kind of movement set her off - but she was hoping to get an appointment the next morning so she could have some meds given to her for the sickness. She had been able to keep down most fluids for the last three hours so she wasn't worried about dehydration, "he should be here soon, right?" she said to her lightly as she slowly began to sit up, "I'm going to wash up a bit,"

"In less than an hour," She said softly, spinning around in the desk chair as she waited. "Is he nice? What are the odds of him being happy?" She asked curiously, stretching her arms above her head.

"Odds of being happy? Zero, I'm not happy with this he won't be either," she said to her sighing as she washed her face then brushed her teeth and took some of the pepto she'd had brought up to the room then sighed, "Chances are he won't believe me," she murmured to her lightly,"but I'm going to give him an out - I won't force him to stick around if he doesn't want to be." the thought made her sad that the baby wouldn't grow up with its father in its life - but it was better than having a father who didn't want you at all but was still around.

Kate walked out and changed her clothes quickly, "It's going to be ugly, he might yell; I'm prepared for it,"

"An out?" She asked stunned. "I mean... I understand why, but only an asshole would take it. This is his baby, he'd be a father and to take an out on it... it would make him less than a man in my opinion," She said, shaking her head. She sighed, messing with her phone. "Well if he yells, I'll be here too, I'm not afraid to curse him out but I'm here in support. So I'll keep quiet until things get ugly."

She snorted a little then shrugged, "He'll have to live with that decision then," she murmured lightly as she finished her bottle of water then looked up when she heard a knock on the door then slid on her slippers walking to the door as she ran a hand through her hair. She unlocked the door and opened it, he still looked good - she remembered vague moments of when they were together; it was sloppy that was for sure - both of them had been drunk or at least she had been. "come in," she said to him gently.

JB walked in, his manager following behind, wondering why he was here. He walked in and looked at her, suspicious and confused. "So, what's this about?" He asked curiously, looking at her and noticing the other girl in the room, but focusing on Kate.

"You're going to want to sit down," she murmured in korean then looked to them, "Do you want anything to drink?" she asked him as she felt her sickness coming back then took a seat herself. "We got pretty drunk when we met, and things happened - I want you to know that this was never my intention I was one hundred percent fine with not seeing you again or whatever," she told him gently and then began searching for the words in korean in her head, "I'm pregnant, and it's yours,"
