Something Changed

"Then I should be worried, I'm probably not the first nor the last," She said as she laid there. "Or the only one," She added, laying down onto her arms.

He nodded and began driving, chewing on his lip. "What does your sister do? And her husband?"

"My sister does temp work for a company, she doesn't work often her husband is in family law," she said as she looked at him then smiled a little, "He's not too bad, I hated him at first," she admitted honestly.

"I'm not seeing anyone right now, not in that way anyway, I spend all my time with you," he said as he got up to dampen a clean rag to wipe her back down.

"For now," She murmured as she laid there. She had thought about asking him out herself but her boldness had reached its end. "What will you paint?"

"Have they been married long?" He asked her. "They have two kids right?"

"Six years, one is five the other is four," she said to him smiling a little,"Tim is her husband, and my sisters name is Jeanne," she said to him as she wet her lips then looked at him.

He looked at her then shrugged,"I don't have an interest in dating right now, I'm happy where I am," he said as he chewed on his bottom lip. "I think maybe a dragon," he said to her.

She kept quiet and nodded, closing her eyes. "Can you use galaxy colors if you didn't already have an idea in mind?"

He nodded a little. "I hope they like me," He said softly. He was only calm because she was there. He hoped they liked him more than he expected them to.

She grabbed his hand and laced her fingers through his, "They have to," she murmured kissing his hand affectionately, "You're too sweet not to like,"

He nodded,"Sure, anything else?" he asked curiously as he mixed colors on her back for the base.

"They have to breathe fire," She smiled a little. "I want a dragon that's not roaring but looks like they could be at any time," She said to him.

He smiled a little. "I hope so. I'm glad you think that."

When they got to the resturaunt she climbed out of the car and sighed a little as she looked at him,"Come on, I won't let anything bad happen," she said then stopped when she saw her mother was already seated. "Okay so, I know I said it was mys sister and her husband but it looks like my mom is here," she said to him then wet her lips, "Just.. if she is rude, ignore it? please?"

He nodded,"Alright, fire breathing dragons, coming right up - with galaxy," he said making a mental note.

He got out and followed her, looking where she was. "Is there an occasion?" He asked curiously. "I'll ignore it," He said softly, figuring he could ask her more later. He waited until she started walking and followed with her, towards the table.

She closed her eyes and sighed, relaxing into the bed. "Do you have any tattoos?" She asked curiously. "Oh and I meant to ask earlier. The two guys I threatened, what were they? How are they worse than you?"

She smiled a little,"I don't know," she said to him as she walked in and told them which party she was with then went to the table with his hand in hers, "Mom, I didn't know you were coming,"

He shook his head."No tattoos for me," he said to her as he sighed, "They... rob people, they're not good, could be in a gang but I dont hang around them very often,"

She nodded a little. "Have you ever considered moving out? Getting your own place?" She asked curiously.

He smiled as he walked over, holding out the flowers. "Hello," He said softly. He made a quick decision and handed the flowers to her mother instead. "It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am," He said politely.
