"I laid under that table in that corner for a whole week and had to listen to how she talked to all of you," Quinn stated. "What I did will help," she stated. "She'll actually listen to Zack or you now." Quinn knew for the most part what worked with shifters tended to work with werewolves as well especially when it came to annoying and high strung betas.

"Fine, whatever," Matt said. "But no more fighting, okay? I have one rule in this house and it's no fighting. We're a family, we stick together and I like to keep it that way."

"Your pack really is different," Quinn stated. Every other werewolf pack she had heard about were mean and aggressive and had no problem killing each other to prove a point.

"Different is good," Matt said. "You should get some rest so you can heal."

Quinn nodded, setting Larkin and their bags down before she walked into Matt's room and almost instantly fell asleep.

Matt went downstairs, rubbing his face. At least this was keeping him occupied.

Larkin followed Matt downstairs and sat down next to him. "I'm hungry," he stated. "Can I have some food please."

Matt looked down at Larkin. "Uh, sure. What do you want?" he asked.

Larkin shrugged. "Daddy didn't feed me so I'm hungry."

Matt frowned. "Alright, come with me," he said, leading him to the kitchen. He made him a peanut butter jelly sandwich, putting it on a plate and handing it to him.

Larkin smiled at Matt, happy they were with nice people now so his mom didn't need to be so scared anymore. "Thank you," he spoke. The five year olds sat down in a chair, kicking his feet since they dangled, happily eating the sandwich.

Matt smiled, surprised he had such good manners. "You're welcome," he said. "Are you thirsty? I think we might have some juice."

"Yes please," Larkin stated. "I like all kinds of juices."

Matt smiled. He opened the fridge and pulled out some grape juice. "Can you drink out of a glass?" he asked.

Larkin nodded. "Thank you," he grinned.

Matt nodded and poured him a small glass of grape juice before handing it to him. "You're welcome," he said.

Larkin took the drink in his hands, focusing completely on holding it and taking a drink. Once he set the glass down he looked up at Matt. "Is this our new home," Larkin asked. "Mommy and me's?"

"For a while," Matt said. "Just until she can find somewhere else."

"I like it here already," Larkin stated. "Can I stay please?"

Matt raised an eyebrow. "You can stay," he said.
