"Only until I can find somewhere else we can go," she stated.

"Fine," Matt said. "You've got yourself a deal." He looked down at Larkin, who was on the verge of falling asleep before he glanced back up at Quinn. "We should get going before he decides to come back."

Quinn nodded, quickly emptying the fridge of food they could bring and threw away everything else before she boarded up Larkin's window. Once she was sure everything was locked up she grabbed all their stuff she packed, locking the front door with her house keys and got into Matt's car.

Matt handed Larkin to Quinn before he started the car, driving back to the house. When they got there, he helped her carry her stuff in. "You can have my room," he said. "I can sleep down here on the couch."

Quinn shook her head. "This is already awkward as it is," she mumbled. "We'll make a fort in the living room or if Zack and his mate are done fighting we can actually use the guest room she stormed into last night."

"You're my guest," Matt said. "But I guess I can see if the guest room is open."

"If she wasn't so damn insecure anytime another woman was around this wouldn't be a problem," Quinn mumbled. She had watched Lauren throw fits several times in the short week she had been in her wolf form and it had irritated her immensely. She had Zack's mating mark so she didn't understand how she could still be so clingy, need and insecure.

"Well, Lauren wasn't born a wolf," Matt said. "She comes from a rich family in the city. She was turned by someone she went to college with."

"If she even looks at Larkin the wrong way I'm clawing her eyes out," Quinn stated. She was an extremely protective mother to her son and with how the she-wolf had annoyed her Quinn wouldn't mind knocking her down a few pegs.

The brunette caught Lauren's scent, rolling her eyes as her heels clicked on the wood floor. The blonde stopped when she saw Matt with a woman and a child. "Is bringing random wolves home going to be a thing now with you?"

Matt rolled his eyes. "She's the same person," he said. "Maybe you would know that if you trained like the rest of us."

Quinn set Larkin down, kneeling in front of him and ran her fingers through his hair. "Find the room that smells like Matt and stay in there," she stated. "Mommy has to settle something." The five year old knew something big was going to happen so he did as he was told, going into Matt's room and waited with the door closed.

"Take your heels off, shift and meet me outside you annoying ass insecure valley girl," Quinn snapped. She normally wasn't so quick to violence or anger but between the way Lauren was and how snippy Quinn already was because the pain she was in she was practically ready to kill the blonde.

"No," Matt said. "You can't fight with your wounds. You need to rest or you'll pop your stitches again and then they'll get infected."

Quinn ignored Matt, dragging the blonde out of the house by her hair and shifted into a bear. She roared at the blonde, wanting to laugh when she just stood their bitching at her. The brunette slashed at the blonde, purposely ripping her clothes to shreds which finally made the blonde change into her wolf form and start fighting back. Lauren hit a few good bites in before Quinn threw her against a tree and pinned her there, only letting up when the she wolf showed her submission. Quinn changed back, her stitches surpringly shut but all her new wounds bleeding a lot. "Next time you aggravate me I follow shifter rules and don't stop until you're dead," she warned.

Matt rushed out to Quinn and grabbed her arm roughly. "You don't fight in my house," he hissed, his eyes glowing bright yellow as he glared at her. "Is that understood?"

Quinn pulled her arm away from Matt, glaring at Lauren before she even acknowledged Matt. "She needs to learn her place and you weren't doing it," she stated. The brunette helped the blonde up, much to Lauren's surprise and set her down on the couch. Quinn put clothes back on before she shocked Lauren even more and cleaned all her wounds. The brunette didn't say anything the entire time, staying quiet even when Zack walked inside and began questioning what had happened.

Matt shook his head, walking inside and going up to his room. He opened the door, looking down at Larkin. "Your mom is a handful," he mumbled.

"When I was with daddy he told he met mommy while she was walking through the woods alone and he fell in love with," Larkin stated. "Did you fall in love with mommy in the woods too?"

Quinn walked upstairs, being lead by her neck by a pissed off Zack. Once they were in Matt's room he let go and looked at Matt questioningly. "Is there a reason this shifter is fighting with my mate?"

Matt raised an eyebrow. "Uh, no," he said. "She was hurt and I helped her." He looked over when Zacky walked in the room. "Yeah, she doesn't know how to listen."

Quinn stayed quiet, keeping her head down and her fists clenched at her side. She was trying to help them keep Lauren in line except she stopped while the blonde would still have her own free will to still act out unlike how she had been raised. She felt tears form in her eyes before she picked up Larkin and manuvered past Zack, trying to grab their bags as she did.

"Stop," Matt said. "Just, everyone stop. Zack, a little privacy?" He waited for Zacky to leave before he shut the door and turned to Quinn. "Don't go. We just need to set some ground rules, okay?"
