After she pulled away from the hug, I started the car and began to drive down the road. After about a twenty minute drive, we arrived at my house I pulled into the garage and turned my car off. "Here we are casa de Shadows," I told her with a laugh. "I hope you like it,"

" Well I bought this place in hopes that one day, I can have a family to fill it up, as of right now, I mainly use it to throw parties." I explained. "The rooms are huge, you can pick whichever one you want." I informed her, "I even have a built in theater. It's amazing." I chewed on my lip before looking at her. "So do you even have any clothes that you brought with you?" I asked her, she had shown up at the bar, but I hadn't seen a car that had shown up since she got there, so it made me question how she was able to get here in the first place.

I looked at her and rubbed her back. "tomorrow we'll go shopping and get you some new clothes and whatever else you need. Okay?" I told her, "I don't have to be at the studio until later in the afternoon, and you can come with me. If you don't want to come, I'll have Hercules stay with you. I don't want you being alone until he's taken care of." I told her. I knew I was probably being over bearing, but I wasn't going to let anyone hurt her ever again.

"I'll show you around. You'll need to know where everything is if you're going to be living here.' I told her with a laugh. I hugged her back before leading her around the house, showing her where everything was. I finally came to her room and opened the deep mahogany doors. "This is your room. You've got your own bathroom if you need me for whatever reason, my bedroom is at the end of the hall." I told her. Her room wasn't that far from mine. It was only two doors down, but I figured she should know where I was sleeping if anything ever happened.

"Of course you can," I told her. I led her to my bedroom, which was the biggest one of them all. I walked over to my closet and pulled out a cut off slayer tee and a pair of shorts and boxers. "You can take your pick on what you'd like to wear under the shirt," I told her with a smile. "if you want since there aren't any bathroom products in your bathroom yet, you can use mine," I kissed her head and looked down at her. "I'm glad you're home," I told her softly

I laughed slightly whenever she kissed me. She still had to get on her top toes to reach my cheek. " You're welcome, Little Bird. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me," I told her. I left the room and walked down the kitchen to grab myself a snack while I waited for her.

I sat at my table, playing a game on my phone and petting my dog Bella while I waited for Brooke to get out of the shower. I knew I would be able to see the damage from her ex, but I wasn't sure how bad it would be, and I knew it was going to make my blood boil. So I sat there, patiently waiting for her, trying to keep myself from getting angry.

I looked over at Brooke to see bruises all over her body, she must have found a good type of makeup to cover them up with. I was infuriated at the sight. I wasn't mad at her, I was mad at the bastard that beat her. "Hey there, "I said to her, giving her a kind smile. I didn't want her knowing that I was as pissed as I was.

I gave her a gentle smile. "I'm glad you are feeling better. Are you hungry?" I asked her. She looked rather skinny, and I wasn't sure if it was because I hadn't seen her in so long, or if it was because that bastard was starving her too. I knew the guys would be wondering where I went, and they would most likely want to come over, but I wanted some alone time with Brooke.

"Well, I can cook a damn good steak. I have some really nice ones sitting in some marinade at the moment. I could cook those up with some good corn on the cob and mashed potatoes." I said to her. "Maybe have some wine with it." I gave her smile, hoping that it sounded good.
