Emily nodded. “Sounds good.” She said and kept checking behind them every now and then.

Craig nodded, “I hope they’re having fun.” He said as he sipped his beer and took another bite of pizza.

Meghan took the back, long way to the movie theatre, glancing over her shoulder every once in awhile to make sure the weirdos from the bar weren't behind them. She parked the car as close to a light as possible before looking over at Emily. "Did we even decide what movie we wanted to see?"

"Me, too. They deserve it." Max spoke before finishing up his first slice of pizza. With all of the shit Emily had to put up from him recently, she deserved to go out and have some fun.

“No but I guess now is a good time to decide.” Emily said. She hadn’t been out in so long so she didn’t even know what was playing. “What about a scary movie?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Craig said. He closed the box of pizza and took it into the kitchen, sitting it on the counter.

Meghan thought briefly before nodding her head. "How about IT? I think it's still in theatres." She looked up at the marquee to check the titles, just to be sure. "Yeah, it is."

Max waited for Craig to come back before hitting the start button, ready to resume the game. "Now don't cry like a little bitch when you lose this time."

Emily nodded, "sounds good." She said. She walked inside the theater with Meghan and got in line. Once they got their tickets, Emily went to get them some popcorn and drinks. "Do you want candy?" She asked Meghan.

Craig scoffed, "you meant that for you." He said. "We both know I'm going to win this round." He chuckled as he picked up his controller and started the next round.

Meghan nodded her head. "Yeah, that sounds good. I'm probably gonna get some skittles or something like that." She spoke as they headed over to the candy counter.

Max rolled his eyes. "Whatever you need to tell yourself to help you sleep at night, buddy." He spoke as they started to play.

Emily got a pack of skittles for Meghan and a pack of reese's bites for herself. She paid for everything than handed Meghan the candy and her drink while she carried her own drink and the popcorn. "Let's go get our scare on." She smirked.

Craig chuckled. He was surprised and alittle embarrassed whenever Max ended up winning that round. "Well, fuck."

"Try not to jump into my lap now," Meghan joked as she followed Emily into the theatre. Once they found their seats, Meghan sat down and silenced her phone before sticking it in her purse.

"What was that about you winning?" Max asked, miming like he couldn't hear Craig. "Yeah, that's exactly what I thought."

“Whatever, you’re the scaredy cat.” Emily laughed as she turned her phone off and slid it into her purse.

“Fuck you.” Craig said, shoving him lightly. “Let’s go again.” He laughed.

Meghan rolld her eyes. "Nope, that's you, Em." She laughed before settling in and turning her attention toward the screen.

Max rolled his eyes. "Okay, but you can't cry when you lose again." He spoke as he set up the game.

Emily rolled her eyes, “uh huh, sure.” She said and shut up as the previews started.

“That’ll be you.” Craig said as he started the second round.

"Whatever you need to tell yourself, Emily." Meghan teased, taking a sip of her drink.

"Let's make this interesting-- loser buys the next twelve pack?" Max spoke as they played.

(Have you seen IT? The remake I mean lol)

Emily rolled her eyes and flipped her off, even though she couldn’t see it. She settled back into her seat as the movie started.

“Oh you’re on.” Craig laughed and shook his hand. I had confidence he was going to win.

(I saw it three times. I LOVED it omg. Probably the best movie I've seen this year.)

Meghan watched the movie, her mind traveling back to the first time she saw IT. She and Craig had been out on a date, and they'd gotten into an argument over something she couldn't remember. That was the first time he'd grabbed her hard and jerked her arm.

Max got a few good kills in, but in the end it was Craig who won. "Okay, that was lucky. You never play this good."

(I only seen it once but it was so good and yessss best movie this year by far! I can’t wait for it to come on dvd haha)

Emily sat there watching the movie. She had already seen it once before, with Max. They ended up getting into a fight afterwards though, so she tried not to think of it.

Craig laughed, “That’s called karma, my friend; for talking shit.” He smirked.

(I’m so buying it as soon as it does!)

Meghan paid attention to the movie, absently munching her candy and popcorn. She glanced down at her phone every now and again to see if Craig texted her.

Max rolled his eyes. “Oh shut the fuck up. You one ONCE, for like the first time in like a month.” He teased.

(dude did you think Stan's fear was more terrifying than IT itself? Or am I the only one lol)

Emily kept one hand in the popcorn bag and the other on her drink as she watched the movie. She glanced away from the screen every couple of minutes to check her phone, but other than that, she was focused.

Craig rolled his eyes, "oh hush...let me revel in my glory." He laughed, "I'm grabbing another beer, want one?" he asked as he got up.

(I'm not sure! I'm curious to see where they take it in the sequel.)

Meghan gave up on her popcorn after a few minutes-- she really wasn't all that hungry, to be honest. And now that she didn't have a huffy ass Craig sitting next to her, the movie was actually fun to watch.

"Is that even a question? Fuck yeah I want a beer." Max spoke, pulling his phone out to see if Emily had texted him at all.

(Same! I’m excited)

Emily was able to actually enjoy the movie since she didn’t have Max being a hardass next to her. Once it was over, she followed Meghan out of the theater. “Ready to go home?”

Craig chuckled and headed into the kitchen to get them both another beer. He handed it to Max and then sat down with his own.

Meghan nodded her head. "Yeah," she yawned, rubbing her eyes. "I need to get some sleep. He and I have an early day tomorrow. We get Leila and Caige back from Gab."

Max cracked open his beer and took a sip before pulling out his phone and texting Emily. Are you guys on your way home?
