“How would we do that,” Artemis asked. “She seemed pretty comfortable last time I saw her.”

Matt pulled his arm away from Fae and shook his head. “I’m going home,” he stated. “And if I’m lucky the succubus will kill me so I don’t have to kill myself.” He stormed off, not wanting to be near Fae at all. She had broken his heart conpletely.

"We have to find her weakness and use it against her," Zeus said.

Fae frowned and ran after him. "Matt, stop it," she pleaded. "Please." She grabbed his cheeks and pressed her lips to his, forcing out all the love that she could into the kiss.

“She doesn’t have any that I’ve seen,” Artemis stated.

Matt pulled away from Fae and snarled at her. “Don’t fucking touch me,” he shouted. “I’m going home or I will kill them fucking both!”

“Everyone has a weakness, even powerful creatures like that,” Zeus said. “We need an in. Someone needs to go to the other side, befriend it.”

Fae flinched, backing out of the elevator and crying softly as she watched the doors shut. She quickly grabbed onto the wall to stop herself from falling to her knees as they went weak. She slowly made her way down the hall to the room that Brian was sharing with Jimmy and Johnny, knocking on the door. “Brian,” she cried.

“Well Matt has been very anti-me since Fiona killed his and Fae’s baby,” Artemis mumbled.

Brian opened the door, his own tears gone but his eyes visibly puffy and red. “Fae,” he sniffled. “What’s wrong?” He didn’t want to focus on his own problems so he’d ask Fae about hers.

“Are you sure he’d be willing to help?” Zeus asked.

“I don’t know, Artemis,” Zack said. “We all know how temperamental Matt is.”

“I’ll do it,” Johnny spoke up.

“Matt left,” Fae whimpered. “Can I come in?”

“As much as he hates me for what happened I know he’ll help,” Artemis stated. She wouldn’t say it outloud to anyone else but she had promised Matt once she was back in her body she would use her powers to make Brian completely unattracted to Fae. When Johnny spoke up and said he’d do it she shook her head. “No,” she stated. “I can’t ask you to do that.”

Brian nodded. “Why did he leave,” he asked.

“I owe it to you,” Johnny said. “Please, let me start making it up to you.”

“I told him the truth about how I was feeling,” Fae sniffled. “I thought he’d understand and make a compromise until I get back to normal, but he didn’t. He threatened to kill you and Artemis unless I let him leave.” She wiped her eyes, shaking her head. “I think it’s over for good now.” She looked up at him, realizing his eyes were red and puffy. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

“No,” Artemis snapped. “You don’t owe me anything!”

Brian ignored what Fae asked and sat down in his bed. “What do you mean how you were feeling?”

Johnny frowned. “I do,” he said.

“Johnny, maybe you should go,” Zack said.

“I told him how ever since I lost the baby I haven’t been feeling anything at all, but that you make me feel something,” Fae rambled.

“What happened was my fault,” Artemis argued. “I deserved everything you did to me.”

“I’m surprised he didn’t storm off and kill Artemis and me both,” Brian mumbled. “He kind of hates us both right now.”

“That’s enough,” Zack said. “We’ll talk to Matt. Johnny, you can go.”

Johnny sighed and left the room, feeling even guiltier than he had before, if that was possible.

Fae looked at him. “Why have you been crying?” she asked, reaching up and gently touching his cheek.

“I’m going to go lay down,” Artemis mumbled.

Brian grabbed Fae’s hand and moved it off of his face. “Don’t,” he warned. “I refuse to talk about it.”

Zeus nodded. “I’ll do some investigating. Try to stay out of trouble,” he said, leaving the room.

Zack waited until the door was shut before looking at Artemis. “I forgave him,” he said.

Fae frowned, but nodded her head. She knew better than to push him. She stared at him for a moment, biting her lip. “Wanna go get fucked up?” she asked.

Artemis looked at Zack, the look of shock and relief apparent in her face. “What made you change your mind,” she asked.

Brian nodded. “Yes,” he agreed.

Zack shrugged his shoulders. “I want you to be happy,” he said. “And I know he wasn’t in his right mind. I can understand his situation. I can’t be easy on myself and hard on him when we both did the same thing. It’s not fair.”

Fae stood up and took his hand, leading him out of the room and to the elevator. She pressed the button for the lobby, looking at him. She decided it was time to stop giving a fuck about everything. What was the point anymore?

Artemis hugged Zack, happy he had forgiven Johnny. “Thank you,” she mumbled.

“Black out drunk,” Brian asked.

“I love you,” Zack said.

Fae nodded her head. “Yes,” she said. She stepped off the elevator and led him towards the bar.

“I love you too.”

Brian followed Fae to bar, beyond ready to be drunk.

Zack smiled and pulled her over to the bed, laying down with her. “Maybe this will all be over soon,” he said. “And we can go back to focusing on our family again.”

Fae wished Brian would tell her what was going on, but she knew better than to press him when he was like this. She didn’t want to bring out his inner demon. It would just upset him more. She sat down at the bar, biting her lip. “How are we going to get drinks if we don’t have IDs?” she asked.
