  • Matt’s mom frowned, sighing softly when Fae showed her the bruise on her face. “That man is still an idiot,” she scoffed. “He’s going to be fired and completely ruined by the time me and my lawyers are done with him.” Matt’s mother was a fearless woman and extremely ferocious when it came to protecting her son and most of his close friend he genuinely cared about. “I promise we’ll take care of you sweetie. All of you.”

“It’s fine,” Artemis mumbled. “I should have known he would show up again eventually.” She was honestly more upset that Johnny was worried she’d leave him for Zack. “I hate him now Johnny,” she stated. “I’m not giving him a second chance.”

  • Fae smiled softly at her. “Thank you,” she murmured. She stood there for a moment before realization hit her. “Wait, still? You mean, you knew Principal Wexler?” She quickly shook her head. “No, I’m sorry. My curiosity gets the better of me sometimes.” It was none of her business. Of course she probably knew Wexler, he’d been around for ages since, well, he didn’t age.

Johnny nodded his head. “I know,” he said. “I know you wouldn’t hurt me.” He moved toward her and gently reached up to touch her cheek. He moved his hand down and pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly. “I’m sorry I doubted you. I’m just . . . insecure, I guess.” You guess? He sighed at the voice in his head, pressing his face into her neck.

  • “You helped me when he abandoned me,” Artemis mumbled. She hugged Johnny back tightly as tears began to form in her eyes. “Just promise me next time Brian thinks the worse of me you’ll tell him to shut up and come talk to me if he has a problem.” The brunette wasn’t stupid. She knew it was Brian who had heard Zack was back. “If someone asked me to pick it wouldn’t be a contest Johnny,” she stated. “I would pick you.”

“Wexler, Matt’s father, myself all used to go to school together,” she stated. “His father used to be principal and he would get away with the most ridiculous stuff. I finally had enough. I found a way to get his father fired and ever since then Wexler has been even more of an asshole.” She looked over at her husband, sighing softly as he began to pace. “I promise we’ll get this all sorted for you kids once and for all.”

  • Johnny nodded his head. "Brian only wants what's best for me, but he doesn't realize that it's you," he said, rubbing her back. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Artemis. I mean it." He pulled away enough so that he could look at her. "You make me so happy."

"No wonder he has it out for us," Fae mumbled. She nodded her head. "Thank you." She sat down in a chair, beyond exhausted. Mentally and physically. Maybe Matt's parents actually could knock some sense into Wexler, or go to the school board even. Something had to be done, though.

  • Artemis has taken the pregnancy tests early the next morning while Johnny was still asleep, tears streaming down her face when they all said she was. She was pregnant with Zack’s baby and she didn’t know what to do. She slid on a fresh pair of clothes and walked down the block to Jimmy’s house and snuck into his room. She laid down beside him, sniffling as she waited for him to wake up. She needed advice and her best friend had always been the one person she had been able to go to. “He knocked me up Jimmy,” she whimpered. “I don’t know what to do.”

Matt was beyond pissed. He had spent most of the night and part of the early morning in the hospital getting his leg put in a cast and the doctors talking to his parents. He knew there was no way he could be able to take Fae to the dance and he wanted to murder Pierce because of it. Thankfully when Brian had stopped by to check on him the demon agreed to take Fae to the dance. He didn’t want Fae to miss out on wearing the beautiful dress she had bought because Pierce was a scumbag.

  • Jimmy jumped awake when he heard a voice beside him, grabbing the knife that was by his bed and holding it up at Artemis. "Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me," he hissed, setting the knife down and rubbing his face. "What are you doing here?" He was about five seconds from kicking her out and he most certainly would if she didn't give him a good explanation.

Fae woke up early the next morning to go see Matt at his house, wanting to spend the morning taking care of him since she'd be busy the rest of the night. She flew to his house and into his bedroom window, smiling when she saw how peaceful he looked sleeping. She transformed into her human size and moved to sit on the edge of his bed. "Matt, wake up," she murmured.

  • “I don’t know what to do Jimmy,” she sobbed. “He got me pregnant.” She stared at the knife he had just put down, a part of her wishing he had just stabbed her with it. That would have probably solved all her problems. “Zack abandoned me and now I keep hearing rumors that he’s back.” She didn’t know what to do and she was absolutely terrified. “I don’t know what to do.”

Matt whined when he heard Fae tell him to wake up. “I want to sleep,” he whined. The werewolf grabbed Fae and nuzzled his face in her neck. “Lay with me please,” he pleaded.

  • Jimmy stared at her for a moment, wondering if she was serious or not. Why did she come to him, of all people? He wanted to tell her to leave, to never come back to him again, but she looked so desperate and that part of him that cared so much for her came to the surface. “I don’t know what to tell you,” he mumbled. “It’s your decision what to do. Not mine. Not his. Not anybody’s.”

Fae giggled softly. “But it’s time to get up, silly,” she said. “You need to eat breakfast so you can take a painkiller.” She kissed his temple, reaching up and running her fingers through his hair. She smirked slightly and pressed her lips to his ear. “If you get up, maybe I’ll help you take a bath,” she whispered into his ear teasingly.

  • “A part of me wants to have an abortion,” Artemis admitted. “But even thinking about killing the baby makes me heart ache.” She looked down at her stomach, sniffling as she ran her hands over her stomach. “How do I hide that I’m pregnant from Zack, my parents and everyone else at school,” she asked. “I don’t even know if I’ll survive having a vampire hybrid baby.”

Matt groaned out, finding himself getting turned on when Fae whispered she’d help him take a bath. “Only if you’re in the bath with me,” Matt replied. He opened his eyes, pecking the blonde’s lips and sat up. “Did my mom already make breakfast,” he asked. “I told her you were vegan so she said she wanted to look up recipes and make something you could eat too.”
    December 15th, 2017 at 04:50am
  • Jimmy shook his head. "There's no way you can hide it," he said. "Vampire babies grow quickly in the womb. If a hybrid is anything like a normal vampire, you'll give birth in four months depending on how far along you think you are. And that baby is gonna grow super fast, and it's going to be dangerous if you can't handle it."

Fae smiled brightly, really excited and happy that Matt's mom had really taken an interest in her. "I'm so glad she likes me," she said. "I kind of snuck in through your window. I haven't been downstairs yet." She stood up and pulled his crutches over. "Come on, let's go see."
    December 15th, 2017 at 05:05am
  • Artemis ran her hands through her hair as tears began streaming down her face in floods. “I can’t stay,” she mumbled. “I can’t stay in this town or even this state if I’m pushing out a baby in four months.” She tried to wipe her tears away, looking at Jimmy as she tried to stay somewhat calm. “I know I have no right to ask you this but if anyone asks you where I went will you lie to them?”

Matt chuckled. “She probably already knows you’re here,” he stated. “Her sense of smell is better than any other wolf I know.” He knew it was a big brag to say about his mom but it was true. His mom’s sense of smell was beyond amazing and was the reason why if smoked at all he always got caught no matter what he did to mask the smell.
    December 15th, 2017 at 05:10am
  • Jimmy scoffed. "No, I will not lie for you," he hissed. "This is your responsibility and if you run away from it, you're no better than he is for abandoning you in the first place. You haven't even told him yet, at least do that before you make any drastic decisions. And by the way, there's always adoption. And you can do an open adoption too, so you can always see the baby."

Fae smiled. "Your mom is really sweet," she said. "She said she's gonna do whatever she can to help us out against Pierce and Principal Wexler." She helped Matt up and handed him his crutches. "I really hope they both get what's coming to them." She leaned up and kissed his lips softly. She was genuinely curious about why they didn't seem to be part of a pack, but she didn't want to ask because she thought it would be rude.
    December 15th, 2017 at 05:51am
  • “He doesn’t have any right,” Artemis snapped, her eyes flashing bright blue as she stood up from Jimmy’s bed. “He almost killed me and instead of making sure I was okay he fucking ran like a coward!” She ran her hands through her hair, shaking her head as she began walking towards his bedroom door. “Just forget I came here,” she mumbled. “It’s not like you even give a shit anymore. All you care about is Pierce and his asshole friends.” She walked out of his room and quietly out of his house and began walking back towards her house.

“My mom is extremely protective of me and anyone I genuinely care about,” Matt stated. “If she could she’d probably just rip one of Wexler’s arms off and beat him to death with it.” He knew it was a pretty graphic visual but that’s just how his mother was. If he could trust anyone besides Fae and his now group of friends it would be his parents. They were honestly perfect because they let him learn from his mistakes and helped him when he needed it.

  • Jimmy walked to his window and looked out. "At least I'm not a selfish cunt!" he yelled after her before he slammed his window shut. He was angry now, and he would make sure she regretted speaking to him like that.

Fae smiled and nodded her head. She helped him downstairs and into the kitchen. "Good morning, Mrs. Sanders," she greeted, pulling a chair out so Matt could sit. She set his crutches against the wall before she walked up behind him and gently placed her hands on his shoulders. She began to gently massage his shoulders and neck, frowning when she felt how tight his muscles were.
    December 15th, 2017 at 06:20am
  • Artemis visibly cringed when Jimmy called her a cunt. She continued walking back home as fresh tears began to form in her eyes. She honestly wanted to just go back to sleep and never wake up but she knew she needed to at least get through homecoming for Johnny before she disappeared off the planet. She walked into her house, washing her face so she didn’t look like she had been crying. She laid back in bed with Johnny and hoped he stayed asleep for a little while.

“Good morning Fae,” Mrs. Sanders greeted the blonde. “Did you fly in,” she asked. She hadn’t heard the fairy come in but she had smelled her in her son’s room so she could only assume that’s how she had gotten inside. “Next time you can just use the front door,” she stated. “You’re welcome here anytime.”

When Fae tried to massage Matt he winced and pulled away from her slightly. “Please don’t touch,” he mumbled. “It hurts.” Matt felt bad that he was that tense because he knew Fae only wanted to help but he was already in pain and doubted he could handle more at the moment even if he wanted to.
    December 15th, 2017 at 06:30am
  • Johnny groaned when his phone began to ring, reaching onto the nightstand for it. He slowly cracked one eye open to see it was his mom calling. He answered, letting her know that he was okay before he hung up. His parents weren’t very strict and they trusted him, but this was his first time being away from home for an entire night at someone else’s house, and his mom just wanted to make sure that he was okay. He set his phone back down and rolled over, looking at Artemis. “Hey,” he murmured.

Fae frowned when Matt pulled away, quickly retracting her hands. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled, feeling guilty for hurting him. She walked over to Matt’s mom, figuring she’d help with breakfast instead. “I know, but I wasn’t sure if anyone was awake, and I didn’t want to just slip in and wake everyone up.” She smiled when she saw the food Matt’s mom was making. “You didn’t have to make vegan food just for me.”
    December 15th, 2017 at 07:48pm
  • Artemis nuzzled her face into Johnny’s chest and hugged him tightly. “Morning,” she mumbled. She honestly didn’t want to be awake and would have much rather have fallen back asleep in Johnny’s arms but she knew she couldn’t do that. Her and Johnny were supposed to have breakfast together.

“It’s perfectly fine Fae,” Matt’s mother insisted. “I can tell you’re going to be in my son’s life for a long time so I figured it would be fun to try something new.” Matt’s mother always loved trying and making new food so finding and making food that was completely vegan was a fun challenge for her especially since she priced herself on always making the best food in her neighborhood.
    December 15th, 2017 at 07:55pm
  • Johnny slid his arms around her, holding her tightly. He could tell something was wrong, but he didn’t know what. Maybe she was still upset from yesterday. He wished he knew how to make it better. He kissed the top of her head, rubbing soothing circles into her back. “Are you hungry? I can make you something, or we can have leftover pizza,” he said. “Or we can just lay here if you want.”

Fae smiled, blushing slightly. She felt so lucky to have such good people surrounding her now. She helped Matt’s mom with the food, carrying a plate over to Matt when it was ready. “Eat up,” she murmured. “You need to keep your strength if you’re going to heal quickly. I can’t go to every event with Brian, now, can I?” She knew wolves healed faster than other creatures and humans, but not as fast as vampires did.
    December 15th, 2017 at 08:22pm
  • “Can we just lay here for a little while longer,” Artemis asked. She didn’t want to do anything for a little while longer. “I promise after like five more minutes in bed I’ll make you the best breakfast you’ve ever had.” She figured if she just closed her eyes and listened to Johnny’s heartbeat she’d be fine. At least that’s what she hoped.

Matt smiled at Fae, pecking her lips before he began eating. She was so absolutely perfect and he was lucky to have her. “I promise I’ll heal up and soon as possible,” he promised. “I want to dance with you eventually.” If the werewolf was honest with himself he was honestly kind of jealous that Brian got to take her to homecoming. He already knew what Fae’s dress looked like and he knew she was going to look absolutely breath taking in it.
    December 15th, 2017 at 08:44pm
  • Johnny nodded his head. "We can lay here as long as you want," he said. "But you don't have to make me breakfast, you know." He kissed the top of her head, rubbing soothing circles into her back. She was acting different, and he wanted to know why. But he was afraid to ask her anything.

Fae blushed slightly, shaking her head. "You'll have plenty of chances to dance with me," she murmured. She began to eat as well, her face lighting up. "This is so good, Mrs. Sanders. I think you may give my mom a run for her money." She grinned, knowing she'd have to have both their parents meet at some point. She'd just have to get her parents out of the house first.
