It's a Beautiful Day

Being back to work, this was perfect. Gabby looked at her phone, reading over a couple of emails that she had to check on. This was the first time that she had checked her email since the Honeymoon, and this was helping her back in work mode. "Well Dr. Shepherd, are you ready for the day?" She giggled.

Mark nodded. "Hey doesn't Derek and Gabby come back today?" He asked as he walked down the hall with her. "Also, what does your day look like as far as work wise?" He asked.

Derek looked at her and shrugged, "I suppose. I'd much rather be back on honeymoon. Having my way each and every second with you." Derek grinned. "But we have to work for a living." Derek smiled at her.

"They're supposed to." Emily smiled. "Oh, um I am not sure. Richard said I was on light duty. More than likely I will be doing all your paper work." Emily smiled at him.

"Derek!" She gasped, playfully smacking his arm. Her cheeks turned a light pink color. "What am I going to do with you." She laughed lightly. She then brushed some of her har away from her face, looking back to him. "Yes, we do have to work for a living, but I love my job so that's what motivates me." She then looked back t her phone once more, replying to an email from Webber. "What surgeries do you have?" She asked softly.

Mark nodded and smiled, then looked at the elevators seeing Gabby and Derek stepping off. "Well look at the newlyweds." He said, seeing them in the near distance. He then looked to Emily once more. "Paperwork is a good thing for you." He said as he rubbed her bump once more.

Derek looked at her, "That I am unsure. Richard didn't tell me." Derek told her softly. Walking off the elevator Derek held to Gabby's hand and smiled at her.

Emily looked over at Mark, "Of course you'd say that." Emily giggled softly.

Gabby smiled as she held her his hand, walking with him out of the elevator. When she looked up, a bright smile came upon her face. She saw her best friend with Derek's best friend. Turning to Derek once more. "We probably should go say hi." She smirked. "I know you've missed your best friend." She laughed.

Mark laughed, he then kissed her on the side of her head after he pulled her close. "Of course I'd say that. It means I get to make sure you're relaxed."

Derek nodded his head. Walking over to Mark and Emily Derek smiled at the two. "How are you two doing?" Derek asked smiling as he man hugged Mark smiling.

"Look at the newelyweds." Emily smiled hugging Gabby as she looked at them. "You two look amazing." Emily lent into Mark as she let a sigh escape her lips.

Gabby smiled looking to her best friend, carefully pulling Emily into a hug. She had missed her and was so glad to see her again.

Mark had smiled as he let Emily go so that Gabby could hug her. He turned to Derek. "How was the Honeymoon?" He asked.

Gabby smiled. "We are good. Really good." She said. "How are you?" She asked, rubbing her friend's belly.

Emily smiled, "I am good." Emily smiled at Gabby. "It was a rough patch with the pregnancy, but everything is slowly going back to normal." Emily giggled. "Just good, or really good?" Emily teased Gabby smirking.

"If she won't be modest, I will." Derek smirked. "It was really good." He winked.

Gabby instantly blushed at Derek's comment. Mark looked to his best friend's wife bursting out in laughter. "I'd say so. Look at that blush." He looked back to Derek. "Really good is the best way to define it, huh?" Mark teased Gabby.

Gabby just rolled her eyes looking to Emily. "You might want to continue your man." She laughed. "But yes it was really good." She said, still blushing.

Emily giggled elbowing Mark, "Mister. You better be nice." Emily warned her boyfriend giggling. "Awe, you admitted it." Emily teased smiling as she felt a cramp. Rubbing it out she took and breathed in and out. "I best go sit down. Little Sophia is beginning to get active." Emily smiled softly before bidding her goodbyes.

Derek grinned, "Oh c'mon baby." Derek smiled at her. "Don't be so hard on my best friend." Derek smiled at her.

Mark nodded, watching her. "Alright sweetheart. If you need anything, just page me." He said before turning on his heels. He went to go check on some of his patients as well as met a couple of new ones. This is what he lived for - helping people; especially those in plastic surgery.

Gabby looked to Derek. "Don't look at me like that." She laughed lightly. She started walking down the hall with Derek, watching her best friend waddle to the desk. "Gosh...little babies..." She said allowed without thinking.

Derek looked at Gabby, "Little babies?" Derek questioned Gabby wondering what she meant.

Emily took and sat down at the desk. Getting the paperwork organized she took and began filling out the surgery forms and getting everything organized and ready for Mark. Resting her left hand on her stomach she used her right hand to do what she needed.

"What?" Gabby blushed as she looked to Derek. "Yeah, little babies." She said, leaving her answer mysterious.

Mark had finished up with the new patient then walked out to find Emily organizing things. "Hi cutie." He winked. "How is it going?"

Derek looked at her, "Are you?" Derek questioned his wife wondering if she might be pregnant.

Emily glanced up at him and smiled softly, "It's going ok." Emily told him. "Boring but ok." She added.

Gabby looked to her husband, instantly knowing what he was wondering. "I don't think so." She said. She didn't think she could really be pregnant.

Mark rubbed her back and nodded. "Aww baby. I am sorry. It has to be like this though."

Derek looked at her nodding, "Ok." Derek smiled at her. "So are you ready to save some lives?" Derek smiled.

Emily looked at Mark, "Yeah, yeah." She got up from her chair smiling at him. "If you'll excuse me. I need to pee, and get these papers to the chief." She kissed Mark's cheek before going about doing what she had to do.

Gabby smiled, nodding brightly at her husband. "I am ready, if you are." She smiled and kissed him softly. She stayed beside him walking down the hall to the first patient of the day.

Mark nodded helping her up from the chair. He smiled when she kissed his cheek, moving so that she could go pee. "I'll see you later baby."

Derek smiled at his wife. Walking into the elderly woman's room he smiled. Being his charming self he talked with her and her husband. Telling her about the procedure and everything.

"Bye honey." Emily called rushing off. Once she had did her business. She took and headed for Richard's office. Giving him the papers she smiled before going back to the desk. Sighing she sat down and began working on it all over again.
