He chuckled expecting such a response from her, "Yes," he said nodding a little, "I'd show you but.. I'd need Sam to be there to make sure I don't get too worked up," he told her lightly.

Alex looked at him unsure of what to say then touched his hand again feeling the feet coming off him, she remembered how she tossed and turned the night before - chalked it up to being sore. Though now it made sense, the second she saw him things changed, "I don't know this is.... a lot," she told him, "We've only just met...."

He smiled a little. “Like I said, I don’t expect anything to change or something drastic.” He laughed a little. “This is as new to me as it is to you. Just know that I’m here whenever you want to talk or whatever. I’ll follow your lead. Right now... I just want you happy. If that means giving you space, I’ll do it.. but it would be hard for me. I’m happy when you’re happy.”

She shook her head. “Okay, So, you’re a shapeshifter.” She said, playing along and crossing her arms. “Why are you telling me?” She asked curiously. “What do I have to do with it?”

He took a deep breath, "You're my soulmate, my imprint," he said to her softly as he looked at her gently - hoping she wouldn't run in the other direction.

Alex nodded a little, "I don't even know if you're just crazy though," she said sheepishly with a small laugh, "I can't... why am I even entertaining this to be real," her head was spinning with everything that had happened in the last few weeks - this was really the icing on the cake, "Who else is like you, if its true," she said catching herself.

She made a face. “I met you...in a hardware store.” She said with a deadpan expression. “Wow, so you’re crazy,” She murmured, turning to walk back up the beach. “Honestly don’t know what’s crazier the fact that you’re supposed to be my soulmate or the fact that maybe you turn into a wolf.”

He pointed out down the beach. “If you look, a few others went for walks... this isn’t planned like this but it’s easier to have someone else tel the stories and you explain it to your imprint. Some take it better than others. Most just storm off the beach which leads to a few painful days for them and us, since we feel their pain. You’re taking it better than I expected,” He admitted. “I could show you but I’d prefer to do it in daylight, and not on the beach because of reasons I can explain later.”

Alex looked away then closed her eyes, "What.. I.. tomorrow then?" she asked him lightly as she looked at him, "I want proof tomorrow," alex didn't know what to believe but she saw two others off in the distance.

He smiled a little,"Yes... I ... It's not my choice but I'm not crazy I promise," he said to her lightly as he looked at her, "You're my imprint and I'll wait for you as long as you need me to,"

“Time and place, and I’ll be there,” He promised her. He was happy with how it was going, he hoped once he proved to her maybe she would warm up to him a bit more but he was happy with however long it took.

She stared at him. “Whoa whoa, wait for me? I just met you!” She said in slight disbelief. “I’m not about to just fall for whatever pick up line you think this is... is that why you invited me here?” She asked softly.

He rubbed the back of his neck a little, "I .." he looked down a little,"I'm it's not a pick up line I swear, I'll prove it to you," he told er as he moved towards her.

Alex smiled a little as she saw the eager look on his face, "Tomorrow morning? Ten am?" she offered as she wet her lips a little, "Don't be late," she told him as she leaned into him when the wind blew making her wince at the coldness.

She shook her head a little. “Don’t bother, it’s fine.” She mumbled, sad that the first time she was invited out, it was to be told near nonsense. “Thanks for inviting me? I guess,”

He smiled a little. “No, i wouldn’t dream of it. I’ll be there. Can I walk you to your car? It’s getting colder, I don’t want you getting sick.”

She nodded a little as she looked at him then walked towards her car with him, deep in thought. "Does bella know?" she asked him lighly as she looked at him.

He looked at her with panic on his face, "Please, I'll understand if you need time but I'm the not the only one confessing to their imprint tonight," he said to hr, "I would never lie about something like this,"

She turned to look at him. “How am I supposed to believe that you and I are made for each other when I didn’t know you existed yesterday. That stuff doesn’t make sense. And I’m sorry it didn’t work for you but I don’t think imprints and shapeshifters are a great pickup line or whatever it was. I don’t need time, I want space.”

He nodded a little. “She knows about it. She was who I wanted to imprint on,” He admitted to her. “But none of that matters now, there’s nothing anyone can do about it since you’re my imprint and my reason for anything is you now.” He said softly. “Sorry if that was too deep,” He laughed a little. “But it’s true.”

Alex flushed a little as she looked down, "Is that why she is mad at me?" she asked him softly as she chewed on her bottom lip lightly.

He looked at her, "I.." he nodded a little, "I won't give up," he said to her stubbornly as he looked at her, "I can't,"

Jacob sighed. “Most likely. I can’t control it though, and all I can do is apologize for hurting her if I did but she knew I couldn’t stop it,” He said softly. “I’m sorry about this.”

She sighed, feeling really sad and shaking her head. She turned to walk back toward her car and stopped, turning around to look at him once again. It was like something was wrong when she left, but she didn’t think on it. She shook her head and turned back up to her car and sat there for a moment not sure what to think.

She nodded a little as she looked at him then wet her lips, "I.. I don't know what to say," she said to him as she looked at him then sighed. "I uhm, Jake my life is kind of a mess right now, my parents..." she sighed a little,

He didn't want t watch her go but he would see her again tomorrow,"tomorrow will be better," he said to himself.

He shrugged a little. “I don’t want to overload you, you need time to process and I get it. I know what happened but we don’t have to talk about it now especially since I gave you a bit of a shock. So come on, I’ll take you home and tomorrow I’ll show you and we can see where we are from there.” He offered to her.

She nodded a little as she looked at him then sighed,"Okay, sounds like a plan," she told him as she sighed and then walked towards her car, "When did Bella leave?" she asked lightly.

“Probably when we did,” He admitted. “I’ll need to talk to her about it but she’s not my concern right now,” He said sheepishly.

She smiled a little as she climbed into the car, "Jake, can you drive?" she asked him lighty as she looked at him.

He nodded. “Of course,” He said, walking around to the passengers seat. He was ecstatic she still wanted him around. “How are you feeling?”

Nadia sat behind the counter, once again organizing new shipments and taking inventory. She was sad but she chalked it up to the night before.

"I'm... a little confused and tired but I'll be okay," she said t him as she sat in the seat, "I'm just processing," she told him

He sighed as he walked into the hardware store looing around for her, when he spotted her. "Uh hey," he said to her lightly.

She looked at him and sighed, shrugging a little. “Are you here for anything hardware related or are you here because of last night?” She asked as her eyes looked at the spread sheet in front of her.

He nodded a little. “Anything I can do to help?” He asked her curiously. “Any questions?”
