Jorel watched her as they ate, “Do you want to spend the night? My dad has been working late since my mom moved in with Maddie’s dad so he won’t even notice.” He said, hoping she’d say yes.

Maddie walked with him, holding his hand. “Can I stay at your place tonight? Jorel’s Mom is moving her things into my parents house and I’m still mad at my father for what happened to my mother.” She said.

Hailey was a bit surprised at his question, “Yeah, I’d love to. It’s not like my mom will say no.” She smiled as she finished her food and took a drink of her drink.

“Absolutely, Jorel’s been staying with his dad lately and my parents are gone again so we’ll have the house to ourselves,” George told her as they walked.

“Yes!” Jorel said. He finished his food and got up for seconds. He came back and looked at Hailey. “Going for seconds?” He asked with a smirk.

“Yeah, i haven’t been Speaking to my dad...since everything happened. He’s been trying to make it up to me, offered to buy me a new car, new everything...but i refuse to speak to him.” Maddie said.

Hailey laughed as he went to get another plate, when he came back she got up, “Maybe a little and some soup.” She said before walking up and filling about half the plate and a bowl of soup before coming back and sitting down, “So what do you have planned for us tonight then?” She asked.

George shook his head, “Wow...he really thinks buying you new things will solve anything?” He couldn’t believe her dad was actually trying to buy her affection, “I’m sorry Maddie...”

“Well, I figured we could watch some movies, maybe cuddle and make out.” Jorel winked at her. “I mean, if you wanna.” He said as he sipped his drink.

“It’s okay, I’m used to it.” Maddie said and sighed, “I’m getting hungry, what about you?” She asked him.

“Wow you had this all planned out, huh?” Hailey teased as she ate her food. She smiled over at him, “But that all sounds great honestly, it’ll be nice to relax.”

George sighed, “That’s still shitty.” Hearing her mention food, he nodded, “Yeah, me too. Wanna grab something to eat and then head to my place?” He asked.

“Yes.” Jorel laughed. “Good, I’m glad.” He smiled. “Wanna get dessert?” He asked her as the waitress brought their bill.

“Can we?” Maddie said as she followed him back to his car. “I’m fine with whatever you feel like eating.”

Hailey shook her head, “I’m full.” She told him, she was excited to be staying over at his house.

“Sure,” George said as they walked back to the car. “Well, we have the option of picking up pizza, burgers, or tacos on the way,” he said as he looked at her.

Jorel smiled and finished his drink before leaving a tip. He got up and took her hand as he walked up to the counter to pay for the food.

“Tacos.” Maddie said with a smile as they got to his car. “Taco Bell, more specifically.” She said looking at him.

Hailey was glad that Jorel seemed to enjoy being around her. She followed him back out to the car after he paid, getting in the car, she looked at him, “How did I get lucky enough to have you?”

George laughed as they got to the car, “The lady wants Taco Bell, she gets it.” He said as they got in and he drove to the Taco Bell, “What do you want?” He asked.

“I should be the one asking that.” Jorel said with a smile. He drove them back to his house before getting out and opening her door for her. “I’m the one whose lucky to have you.”

“A five dollar box, please.” Maddie said as she looked at the menu. She pulled her phone out to text Hailey. How you holdin up, Hailz? she sent to her best friend.

“No way,” Hailey said as she got out of the car. Feeling her phone buzz, she looked and read the message from Maddie. Im alright, Jorel is helping me not think about it, I’m staying at his place tonight. How’re you?

George ordered their food and went to the window, paying for it and once he got it he drove to his house. Taking their food in one hand, he got out and opened her door with the other, “After you.”

“Maddie texting you?” Jorel asked her. He figured it was, not that it mattered, he trusted Hailey. “Man, I might have to take a nap after eating all that Chinese food.” He laughed.

Thats good. I’m okay, I’m going to stay with George tonight so I guess I’ll talk to you tomorrow? Maddie texted her back and then smiled. “Thank you, kind sir.” She said as she headed inside.

“Yeah, asking if I’m okay,” Hailey told him before responding. Good. Have fun and we’ll definitely talk tomorrow. She laughed softly, “Let’s turn a movie on and cuddle and you’ll be out in ten minutes.”

“Anything for you,” George said as he followed her inside. “Texting Hailey?” He asked as he put their food on the table and sat down.

Jorel smiled and grabbed a movie, putting it on. He grabbed a blanket and kicked his shoes off before sitting down and waiting for her.

“Yeah, just checking on her.” Maddie said with a smile. “Thank you, again.” She said as she started to eat.

Hailey took her shoes off and sat down next to him. She smiled as they pulled the blanket over them and the movie started.

George nodded as he started eating, “No problem.” He told her as he took a sip of his drink.

Jorel wrapped his arms around her and held her close as the movie stared. “Apologies if I fall asleep.” He laughed.

“I haven’t had Taco Bell in so long.” Maddie said, finishing her food within twenty minutes. “So good.”

“No need to apologize, I’ll probably fall asleep soon,” Hailey laughed softly as she relaxed next to him. “This is nice.”

George laughed as he finished his food, “It is pretty good.” He said as he took care of his garbage and hers, “What do you wanna do now?” He asked when he came back.

Halfway through the movie and Jorel could feel his eyes closing. “Hailey, you awake still?” He asked softly.

“Wanna cuddle and makeout?” Maddie asked with a smirk.

“Barely,” Hailey said softly, she felt her eyes getting heavy and ready to close.

George grinned, “You read my mind.” He laughed, “Wanna stay down here or go to my room?” He asked.
