Kaitlyn offered Zacky a polite smile as he slid into the booth next to her. She could absolutely kill Bree right now. She had no idea why the brunette was pushing for her and Zacky to get together. Even as a sophomore, Zacky was one of the most well-known womanizers on the entire campus and Kaitlyn was...Kaitlyn. Until she'd come to school here, she hadn't even kissed anyone. And she barely let Michael kiss her now. She and Zacky were polar opposites and they definitely wouldn't make a very good match. "Well that's what Waffle House and all the fast food places are for," Kaitlyn said, hearing Zacky's complaint about the Mexican restaurant not staying open late. "And I can't even really relate because I've never really been drunk."

"Which needs to change like, tonight," Bree said. Kaitlyn shook her head. "Come on, live a little! You're in college. And I know for a fact you don't have any homework to worry about because you did it all last night."

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes but said nothing. There was no point in arguing with Bree. Looking over the menu, she eventually decided on chicken and rice with extra cheese sauce. It was practically the same thing she got every time she came to a Mexican restaurant and it was delicious so she saw no reason to change it. "You really think I have a choice?" Kaitlyn asked, answering Zacky's question. She shot Bree a look from across the booth. "There's no way Bree would let me miss the party."

"Because we have to get you drunk!" Bree shouted. "I'm tired of being the only one drunk at parties. It's fun, I promise! And I'm sure Brian and Zacky will be nice enough to help take care of us. Won't you?" She turned to Brian, offering him her best grin.

"Careful, she gets a little handsy when she's drunk," Kaitlyn said, laughing when Bree started to blush. She knew the brunette would be at all opposed to hooking up with Brian and if Brian was anything like Zacky, he wouldn't have a problem with it. And if Bree wanted to keep giving Kaitlyn shit over Zacky, she could do the same thing to her over Brian.

Zacky was quick to order a chicken burrito, more than prepared to shove the entire thing into his mouth. He let out a groan as he settled back into his seat after the waitress had gone off to put their order in. His brows all but shot to his hairline when Kaitlyn said that she had never been drunk before. He tilted his head to the side as he turned toward her, raising an eyebrow as a little grin spread across his features. "Have you at least had a drink before?" Zacky asked, turning toward Kaitlyn so he was facing her a bit more. Even when Bree pressed to get Kaitlyn drunk tonight, Zacky ignored it because he didn't want to push her too far and make her feel uncomfortable. He knew if he did, that he had no chance at winning the bet and he was not about to lose. Zachary Baker was no loser.

Letting out a laugh, Zacky shook his head as he gave Brian a knowing look. "I don't think Brian minds. His reputation is no matter than mine," he said dryly, looking away from them for a moment. He ran a hand through his hair, appearing upset by the idea. He let out a sigh, resituating before he looked back toward the group that he was with.

"Besides. We both have plenty of experience caring for drunk people," Zacky paused, forcing a smile to his lips. He took a sip of his drink, leaning against the table. "I usually am the one being taken care of but..." he trailed off, shrugging his shoulders. "I still take of people sometimes," he said. He chewed on the inside of his lip, partly worried that even acknowledging his reputation would ruin his chances with Kaitlyn. But maybe if he acknowledged it and accepted it and showed he was trying to change... or at least convinced Kaitlyn that he was, then it wouldn't matter so much.

"I've had a drink before," Kaitlyn huffed, looking down at the table. "You bought me one at that concert, remember?" She didn't know why but she was almost a little embarrassed that Bree had outed her like that. Zacky and Brian were both obviously experienced drinkers and she'd noticed the look on Zacky's face when she said she'd never been drunk before. She'd hoped that when she came to college she'd be able to shed a little bit of her goody-two-shoes attitude but it was easier said than done. It probably didn't help that Bree's parties of choice tended to be frat parties and Kaitlyn wasn't exactly comfortable drinking a lot around a lot of strange men.

Zacky's comment about his reputation didn't escape Kaitlyn but she decided not to comment on it. It wasn't like she didn't already know about it and besides, she didn't ever plan on being in a situation where she would need to worry about Zacky's reputation. The most she would ever be with Zacky was friends. "I'll think about drinking at the party," Kaitlyn said. She rolled her eyes when Bree gave a soft cheer from across the table. "I don't know about getting drunk, but I'll drink. As long as somebody promises to take care of me."

"I'm sure Zacky would be more than happy to take care of you, wouldn't you, Zacky?" Bree asked, shooting a smirk in Kaitlyn's direction.

Kaitlyn glared at her friend but didn't say anything as the waitress returned with their food. Eventually, she was going to have to have a discussion with Bree about why she was so insistent that Kaitlyn consider Zacky as anything more than a friend. But hopefully, she wouldn't have to because hopefully Bree would actually hook up with Brian and be too distracted to bother her.

"Of course I would," Zacky agreed, eagerly nodding his head. He sat forward in the booth, a grin spreading across his features as he eyed Kaitlyn. She seemed a bit apprehensive about the party so Zacky was going to make it his priority that she could have some fun tonight. It wasn't like he knew her that well but he knew a bit about her reputation and if any part of it was true, Zacky imagined that she didn't have a whole lot of fun. Well, what Zacky would deem as fun anyway. He was sure their definitions would be wildly different. That wasn't going to stop him from making sure she had a good time tonight - a few drinks in, most people would have a good time. So long as Kaitlyn didn't dissolve into a fit of tears or something equally buzzkill-worthy... then they'd be good to go.

Looking up when the waitress returned with their food, Zacky offered her a smile and thanked her before returning his attention to the plate in front of him. He wasted no time in digging into the plate, realizing he was hungrier than he had realized.

Zacky groaned as he sat back, having all but devoured all of his food. He rubbed his stomach, offering a bit of a sheepish grin when Brian looked pointedly at him. "Someone's a pig," he muttered, laughing even as Zacky shoved Brian's shoulder. "Don't be an asshole... dick."

There was minimal chatter as the four of them are and the majority of that was between Bree and Kaitlyn since the two boys were more interested in their food than anything else. When Kaitlyn had had as much as she could comfortably stomach, she pushed her plate away, silently trying to decide if she wanted to box up the rest and take it back to the dorm room to eat later. She probably should because if Bree and Zacky got their way and she got even slightly drunk at the party tonight, she would want something to eat afterwards.

"I guess I don't have to ask if you enjoyed your food?" Kaitlyn asked, eyeing Brian and Zacky's empty plates. She shot them both a teasing grin before she pulled out her phone to check the time. "Oh hey, we should probably get going if we want to make it to the game on time. Did um, did you guys want to sit with us?" She heard Bree snicker next to her but she ignored it other than giving her friend an elbow to the ribcage. She had a feeling they would all pretty much stick together anyway so she figured she would be nice and ask.

Kaitlyn pulled out enough cash to cover her check plus a decent sized tip before she slid out of the booth, collecting her to-go box while she waited for the others. "We usually sit in the student section," Kaitlyn said. "It's a little more fun that way."

Zacky couldn't help the grin that split his cheeks at Kaitlyn's question, sheepishly shrugging his shoulders. He was a young guy, any young guy worth his weight could, well, eat his weight in Mexican food. As far as he was concerned, anyway. Nodding when Kaitlyn asked if they wanted to sit together, even before Brian had a chance to agree, Zacky leaned up just long enough to pull his wallet out of his back pocket. When the waitress came by, Zacky was quick to insist on paying for Kaitlyn's bill as well. He wanted to show her that he could provide, even if a small meal at the restaurant wasn't anything major. It still counted for something.

He grabbed the cash that Kaitlyn had set out, shoving it back toward her after the waitress had walked out. "Don't worry about it. A lady dines with me, the least I can do is pay for their meal," he teased, winking at her. He was shy about his flirting but he was going to leave it at that for now, until he knew that Kaitlyn was going to be more welcoming of his advances.

"We'll see you at the game, Kaitlyn," Zacky said, giving the girl a wave before he turned, heading to his vehicle. He rolled his eyes when Brian got in and almost immediately began ragging on him for how he'd flirted with Kaitlyn. "Yeah, okay, but if I don't play nice, then she's never going to sleep with me so would you fuckin' lay off. Jesus," he growled, trying to ignore Brian's incessant nagging.

Kaitlyn didn't even realize what Zacky was doing as he was paying her check until it was too late. She opened her mouth to argue with him when he handed her the cash back but quickly realized it was pointless. "Um, thank you?" Kaitlyn said, her comment sounding a bit more like a question than she'd intended. She waved goodbye to Brian and Zacky, tucking the money back into her wallet as she followed Bree out to her car.

Kaitlyn dropped into the passenger seat, turning to place her takeout in the backseat before buckling her seatbelt. She could feel Bree looking at her as they left the parking lot but she did her best to ignore it until Bree finally spoke up. "You know, that was super sweet of Zacky to pay for your lunch," Bree said and Kaitlyn could practically hear the delight in her voice.

"Maybe so, but that still doesn't mean anything," Kaitlyn said. "It wasn't like I asked him to pay for my lunch. He just did it."

"Kaitlyn, you're either blind or in denial," Bree said. "Zacky likes you! It's super obvious."

Kaitlyn scoffed. "Zack Baker doesn't like any girl. He just pays attention to them when he wants to sleep with them. Which I'm never going to do for a multitude of reasons, the main one of which is that I'm with Michael."

"Okay but you're missing out," Bree said, shrugging. "Sex is fun and Zacky has a ton of experience. He could rock your fucking world."

Kaitlyn didn't say a word, just huffed at Bree as they continued towards the stadium. When they arrived, she climbed out of the car, waiting for Bree before they both headed into the stands. She was honestly hoping it would be a little while before they ran into Zacky and Brian but Kaitlyn spotted them almost as soon as they'd found their seats. And it seemed like the boys spotted them as well because they instantly made their way over to the girls.

[wow, I rambled a little, sorry lmfao]

    {eeeh. could be worse. way worse. don't worry about it lmfao I also can't remember if I've said they're sharing a dorm room or an apartment. Oop }

"All I'm sayin' is that I've never seen you pay for a girl's meal. A drink, sure. If it means you get to fuck them but I've never seen you pay for their food!" Brian exclaimed as he followed Zacky into their apartment. Zacky couldn't help the way that he rolled his eyes, refusing to actually look at Brian as he trudged toward his room.

"Brian, shut the fuck up. Kaitlyn's different. She doesn't drink. What'd the point of buying her a drink be?" Zacky called back, annoyance dripping into his tone.

"She doesn't drink much but she does drink!" Brian called back.

Zacky grumbled under his breathe, slamming his door shut. He changed into a football jersey and a pair of pants before leaving the bedroom, deciding he didn't need to do much else after spritzing himself with cologne.

"C'mon, asshole! Let's get going so we can get there before we have to stand in line for fucking ever to get to our seats!" Zacky shouted as he shoved his feet back into his shoes.

[wow, I am soooooo sorry, I didn't realize it was my turn to reply to this one! Cry also don't think we ever decided what Zacky's living situation was? So I guess they can share an apartment XD]

"Hey look, it's Zacky and Brian!" Bree said, obviously spotting the two boys at the same time that Kaitlyn did. Kaitlyn reached over to swat her friend but this didn't deter her from waving the boys over until they were ten feet away. "It's about time you two got here. We thought you forgot about us. Kaitlyn was getting lonely."

"Bree, I swear to God I'm going to push you down these bleachers," Kaitlyn huffed but Bree didn't seem to hear. She was too focused now on Brian, which gave Kaitlyn a sense of relief. Maybe now Bree would stop pushing Zacky onto her. Kaitlyn didn't think she would ever understand her friend's obsession with the two of them getting together. Even with the short time they'd been on campus, Kaitlyn knew what kind of reputation Zacky had and if she knew she would end up getting her heart broken if she even tried to pursue that. Which was why she wasn't even going to entertain the idea. Friendship she could handle but Kaitlyn knew she would have to be cautious with that.

It wasn't long before the football game got into full swing and Kaitlyn's attention was on the field. She didn't particularly care for the sport but she cared about Michael, so she pretended to care about football. "Go Michael!" Kaitlyn cheered.

    {WELL THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE I JUST SAW THIS NOW.. after wondering what one i was missing because i felt like i was missing a thread of ours. also. uhh, apartment works for me. XD }

Zacky looked up, a grin spreading across his features when he caught sight of the two girls together. He nudged Brian with his elbow, nodding toward the pair before they started up the bleachers. Zacky already had a container of nachos and a drink from the small, concession stand. He moved up the bleachers, happy that they had gotten good seats - only a row up.

College football wasn't as exciting as professional but Zacky was not going to be caught dead not supporting his own college's team. Zacky rolled his eyes when Brian moved around the girls so that he could sit beside Bree, effectively leaving the only open spot beside Kaitlyn. Was he surprised? Not particularly but Zacky knew that he was going to have to be careful, he couldn't come onto Kaitlyn as strongly when they were in such a public arena.

Zacky shoved a nacho into his mouth, setting his drink between his feet carefully. He glanced toward Kaitlyn, raising an eyebrow as he offered the open container of nachos to her. "You can have one," he said, raising the container a bit more to encourage her to take one. He wasn't one to share food but Kaitlyn was cu- Zacky froze, his spine stiffening as the thought ran through his mind. No. He was here doing this for one reason only - to win the bet. Zacky cleared his throat, turning his attention back to the game.

Kaitlyn's attention was admittedly focused almost entirely on Michael. She knew she was lucky to be in the position that she was in. Just like she knew there were numerous girls - probably in these bleachers right now - that wanted to be in the same position she was in. She was practically dating one of the stars of the football team. Which was why she almost didn't notice when Zacky offered her his container of nachos. In fact, she didn't even realize he was talking to her until the second time he spoke up. "Uh thanks," she said, reaching over to pluck a nacho from his container. She shook the chip until the jalapeno on it fell off and then stuffed the chip into her mouth, only then realizing she would need something to drink.

Seeing that Bree was too busy talking to Brian to walk with her to the concession stand, Kaitlyn realized her only choices were to go alone or ask Zacky to go with her. "Hey um, I need something to drink," Kaitlyn said to him. "Would you walk with me to the concession stand? So I don't have to go alone." Knowing Zacky would most likely agree, she got to her feet and started heading up the bleachers to the concession stand located at the top. Since the game was in full swing, there wasn't much of a line and so Kaitlyn and Zacky were at the front of it in no time, "Could I get...a bottle of Sprite, please?" she asked the girl behind the counter. "And some nachos, no jalapenos. You made me want some," she added, turning to Zacky with an almost teasing grin.

Zacky couldn't help but grin when Kaitlyn shook the jalapeno off of her nacho. He loved all things spicy but he knew that not everyone did. Zacky's attention turned back to the football field, hardly paying attention at all to what was going on. His mind was racing as he remembered what he'd thought about Kaitlyn. She was cute - not something that he generally cared about one way or another. Usually, he only cared about whether the girl was willing to put out or not. Jerking slightly when Kaitlyn spoke up, Zacky raised an eyebrow as he turned back toward him. He nodded, moving to stand almost before she had even finished speaking.

Shoving a nacho into his mouth, Zacky grinned as he nudged Kaitlyn with his shoulder. "Game's going well," he commented, not wanting an awkward silence to fill the air between them. Zacky raised an eyebrow at Kaitlyn's comment about nachos, flashing her a grin as he set his container down. "I would say I'm sorry but.. I'm not. Nachos are life, man," he said with a shake of his head. Zacky pulled his wallet out of his back pocket, pulling out a few bills to pay for Kaitlyn's food and drink. He waved her off when she tried to protest, smiling lazily.

"It's no big deal. Don't worry about it," Zacky said, stepping to the side so that they could wait for her food. "I was thinking about heading down to the beach tomorrow with some friends," Zacky started, eyeing her for a moment. "Want to come with?"

Kaitlyn simply rolled her eyes, albeit playfully, at Zacky's comment about the nachos. As the girl behind the counter went about making her nachos, Kaitlyn reached into her bag for her wallet to pay for her food and drink. However, before she could even pull the wallet from her bag, Zacky was shoving money in the girl's direction. "Zacky, you did not have to do that," she told him. As nice of a gesture as it was, it made her question his motives a little. They weren't quite friends yet, and they certainly weren't close enough for him to be buying her food like this and like he had at the Mexican restaurant. Given Zacky's reputation around campus, Kaitlyn had some suspicions, but she was trying to give Zacky the benefit of the doubt. It was obvious that she was with Michael, even if they hadn't technically defined their relationship.

"Uh, I'll have to talk to Bree about it," Kaitlyn answered, a little caught off-guard by Zacky's offer. Of course, the beach sounded like a lot of fun but she wouldn't go if she was going to be alone. Despite her friend's persistence that she and Zacky would be good together, Kaitlyn felt better with Bree by her side. "I don't see why she would have a problem, though. She loves the beach." Reaching forward as her nachos were placed on the counter along with her Sprite, she grabbed them from the counter and turned to head back to the seat. "Come on, let's get back to our seats," Kaitlyn said. She knew from the sounds of the crowd that they hadn't missed anything important in the game but she was still eager to get back to her seat. With her drink tucked underneath her arm, she led the way back to their seats, where Bree and Brian were waiting.

"There you two are!" Bree shouted. "I was starting to worry that you got lost."

"It takes time to get all the way up to the concession stand, Bree, and I wasn't about to jog up the steps to get there."

Zacky nearly wanted to laugh at Kaitlyn's reaction to his offer. He didn't really know Bree at all but it was quite obvious that she wanted to get to know Brian a bit more. And Bree had spent her fair share of time trying to get Zacky and Kaitlyn together. He doubted that the other girl was going to say no to the offer, especially when Bree found out that Zacky was the one offering. While Bree was clueless about Zacky's little bet, she seemed intent on pairing the oddball couple together. Almost as much as Matt and Brian were. At the thought, Zacky could hardly stop himself from rolling his eyes.

Turing, Zacky was quick to follow Kaitlyn back toward the bleachers. He'd decided to just get a bottle of water since he'd already eaten and had a soda. Zacky held back a groan as he rolled his shoulders, dropping down in his seat beside Kaitlyn. Zacky reached over, plucking a nacho from her container with a cheek eating grin. "Sorry. It's my payment for giving you the idea to get nachos in the first place," he teased, winking as he popped the chip into his mouth. Zacky's gaze dropped to her lips for a moment before he turned back toward the game in front of them.

"Oh!" Zacky paused, leaning forward slightly so that he could look in Bree's direction. "I asked Kaitlyn if she wanted to go to the beach with a couple friends tomorrow but she said she has to ask you if you'll go... so..." he trailed off, raising an eyebrow as he glanced between the two girls. "Do you want to come?"

"Hey, excuse you," Kaitlyn said, holding her tray of nachos away from Zacky's reach. "Just because you gave me the idea doesn't mean you're entitled to my food." Kaitlyn stuck the nacho into her mouth, turning her attention back to the game. She was well aware that what Zacky was doing could easily be considered flirting but she wasn't falling for that. No way. She would go as far as admitting that Zacky was cute but she was more than aware of his reputation around campus. Besides, she had Michael. And while they weren't yet official, she was hopeful that it would only be a matter of time before they were.

She was so enamored with thoughts of Michael that she barely heard what Zacky and Bree were talking about until her friend grabbed her by the arm and shook her, causing her to drop the nacho in her hand. "Bree, what the hell!" she shouted. "You made me waste a perfectly good nacho."

"Fuck the nacho, why didn't you tell me we were going to the beach tomorrow?" Bree asked. Kaitlyn huffed, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. Of course Zacky had asked Bree directly. Kaitlyn had been hoping to use that as an excuse but now that was out the window. "Come on Kait, it'll be fun. Please? For me, at least."

At this, her brunette friend shot a sideways glance at Brian and Kaitlyn sighed. "Fine, I'll go," she relented. "But I'm not staying all day."

Zacky knew that he was sort of pitting Bree and Kaitlyn together - it seemed like Kaitlyn wasn't completely fond of the idea of going to the beach together but he was positive if he managed to convince Bree, Kaitlyn would accompany her. It was a bit of work and he would have preferred that Kaitlyn wanted to come on her own but he would just have to take what he could get. When Bree started all but shaking Kaitlyn and demanding to know when she was going to be invited, Zacky was satisfied. That was practically the yes he knew that he was going to get moments later.

His face broke into a wide grin when Kaitlyn agreed. Zacky nodded, sitting up a bit straighter. "So," he paused, looking between the two again. "I can swing by and pick you both up if you want. That way we can just carpool and we don't have to worry about trying to find each other once we get there," he offered.

Zacky didn't know if his offer was taking things a bit too far but he hoped not. If it would make Kaitlyn feel better, he certainly would bring Brian along and pick up Bree first if he had to. "I have a truck," he paused, raising an eyebrow. "So we'll be able to fit without having to worry about space, too."

Kaitlyn's first instinct was to open her mouth and tell Zacky that it wasn't necessary, that she and Bree could find their own way to the beach. If they took their own vehicle, they could leave whenever they wanted. Or whenever Kaitlyn wanted, since Bree would more than likely want to stay much longer. But unfortunately, before she could say a word, Bree had beaten her to the punch. "Yeah, that sounds great!" the brunette shouted. She reached into her purse and pulled out a scrap of paper, on which she wrote her phone number. She handed it to Brian. "You can text whenever you guys are on your way. Or Zacky can text Kaitlyn. I...I guess it doesn't really matter."

Kaitlyn groaned internally. She loved Bree to death but she already knew that she would be abandoned at the first possible chance tomorrow so that Bree could go hang out with Brian. Which meant Kaitlyn would be left to fend for herself with Zacky. Unless she invited Michael...No. That was an awful idea. No need to open that can of worms. Besides, she was sure Michael would have some mandated day of rest or practice or whatever tomorrow, since it was the day after the game.

"What time were you thinking, then?" Kaitlyn asked, munching on another nacho. "Not super early, I hope."

Zacky's eyes flicked to Brian's for a moment while Bree wrote down her number. They shared a little smirk, looking away from each other when Bree looked up. Zacky cleared his throat, nodding at Bree's words. "I'm sure Brian over here is going to message you for one reason or another," he teased, his smirk growing when Brian reached around Bree to smack him on the shoulder. Zacky was always going to tease Brian for one thing or another, they were practically brothers.

Zacky shrugged at Kaitlyn's question, nodding his head at her remark. "I don't get out of bed before ten, at the earliest. I refuse to - not when I don't have to. I mean, if I don't have class... why the hell would I get up so early?" He asked, his face scrunching at the thought. "How about we go sometime around noon? That way we can catch a bite to eat down the shore and then we can relax. Go swimming for a bit. All that good stuff," Zacky offered.

Brian was quick to agree after a moment of consideration, deciding that going too late wouldn't be ideal either. Then they wouldn't be able to actually enjoy themselves at all.

"Well some people prefer not to sleep their whole day away," Kaitlyn said. She knew she was certainly not one to get up at the crack of dawn unless it was absolutely necessary but she still wasn't one to sleep until noon. Her body's natural alarm clock tended to wake her up around nine-thirty or ten, which was late enough for her to get enough sleep but early enough that she didn't feel like she was wasting half her day. "But I guess noon is fine," she continued. "It's not early in the morning but it's still early enough that the beach shouldn't be super crowded. So that means we have to be ready by like eleven fourty-five," she added, with a pointed look at Bree. Her friend had a habit of running late for everything and Kaitlyn hated it.

"I'm gonna set like sixteen alarms," Bree assured her. She glanced over at Brian. "Trust me, I'm not missing this. It's gonna be great."

"If you're not awake by like, eleven-fifteen, I'm dumping a cup of water on you," Kaitlyn said. That was usually her go-to threat but so far she hadn't had to use it. And this time, she doubted she'd even have to resort to any of her other measures to get her friend out of bed. She seemed extremely interested in spending as much time with Brian as she possibly could.

Zacky tried to contain his laughter when Kaitlyn mentioned dumping a cup of water on Bree. He really did but then he actually envisioned it and he couldn't contain himself. Letting out a laugh as he dropped his head forward. He reached up, covering his mouth in a feeble attempt to cover up the fact that he was laughing so hard at the idea. He looked up after he managed to contain himself, a small smirk settled on his lips despite it.

"Please do keep that as a promise," Zacky said as he shook his head. He nudged Kaitlyn, grinning as he glanced toward Bree. "I got Brian once with that. His ass wouldn't wake up for anything... glass of water does always work," he agreed. Causing Brian to lean back and reach over, smacking Zacky on the back of the head.

Zacky laughed despite it, reaching over to steal one of Kaitlyn's nachos. He popped it into his mouth before he could be chastised. "Do you know why food always tastes so much better when it's someone else's?" He wondered out loud, raising an eyebrow.
