“I just hope you were safe, I love Emery but one is enough until you two know what you’re doing,” Rose told them.

Whenever Rose mentioned that Jorel remembered they hadn’t worn protection. He looked at Sophia. “Wanna go out for a smoke break?” He asked. He wanted to make sure she knew that they didn’t use protection.

“Sure,” Sophia followed Jorel outside. She had an idea of what he was going to say, “I’m on birth control, don’t worry.”

“Oh thank god.” Jorel breathed out. He lit a cigarette and offered her one. “You did remember to take it right?”

Sophia took one and lit it, “Yes I remembered to take it. It wouldn’t exactly be fun to explain to my fiancé that I was pregnant, considering we haven’t had sex in months.” She sighed, shaking her head slightly. She honestly felt guilty, and now she had all the same feelings for Jorel again.

“I’m sorry if I made it seem like I pressured you into having sex. That wasn’t my intention.” Jorel said. He didn’t want her to get in trouble.

“You didn’t, I don’t blame you for anything.” Sophia smiled at him. She was still so much in love with Jorel, “It just can’t happen again until we figure this out.”

“Well, try not to look so sexy.” Jorel winked at her. “You know I’m a freak and can’t control myself.” He laughed.

Sophia nodded, “That is very true.” She laughed, “I can hardly control myself around you.” She sighed, “I think it’s safe to say you’re still mom’s favorite of my boyfriends.”

“I’m everyobe’s favorite.” Jorel laughed as he stood with her. “But no, you’re probably right.” He said, exhaling his smoke.

Sophia finished her cigarette and looked at him, “I’m glad we can still do this, it’s fun.”

“Me too. I’m sorry though, I should have gotten ahold of you sooner...I wanted too, shortly after we broke up...I was scared though.” Jorel said.

Sophia shook her head, “Dont worry about it, really. Emery loves you and I know she can’t wait to do a whole bunch of stuff with you.”

Jorel smiled. “That makes me feel better. Dude, I’m so hungry. Is your mom making lunch?” He asked her.

“Yes, she’s making yours and Emery’s favorite,” Sophia laughed.

“No way. Emery’s favorite is tuna on buttered toast too?” Jorel smiled. “She really is my daughter.” He chuckled.

“Yes, and you know I can’t stand the smell of tuna, but that girl loves it,” Sophia shook her head.

“That’s cause she’s like her daddy.” Jorel smirked. He finished his cigarette and headed back inside with her.

“That’s for sure,” Sophia smiled as they walked back inside. She scrunched up her nose when she smelt the tuna, “Still hate that smell.”

Rose smiled when they walked in, “There’s your food on the table with Emery’s and Sophia, I made you a grilled ham and cheese.”

Sophia smiled, “Oh thank goodness.” She said as she sat down, “Thank you mama.”

“Thank you, Rose.” Jorel said and sat down. He looked at Emery. “We even have the same food.” He smirked, taking a bite of his sandwich.
