Mr. and Mrs. President

Shocked by her words, Jack stood there a second. He didn’t know how to respond to her. He didn’t even know, she knew he’d been flirting around with Ashley. Jack sighed, “Jackie, I haven’t done a damn thing.” Jack snapped out. “What the hell has gotten into you?” Jack stared at her.

Jackie looked to her husband, not really sure what to say. How could he be saying that he hasn't done a damn thing wrong when she has watched him. Looking directly into Jack's eyes, Jackie held back any tears that she felt coming her way. "You haven't done a damn thing wrong...huh." She snapped back at him. She went to slap him across the face, but stopped herself. That would be the last thing that she would do. "Jack, I thought you were done with this lifestyle. For goodness sake's, you have a family....a daughter...A BABY ON THE WAY!" She snapped. "What am I to you? Just your trophy wife that you can keep on the shelf till you need her?" She ended up pushing Jack before storming off.

Jack sighed watching her walk off. He wasn't sure what had gotten into her. He knew what he'd done, but he'd tried to keep it a secret.

When Jackie rushed inside, Jack's younger brother, Bobby, who was close to both Jack and Jackie had watched the whole thing play out. He frowned when he saw the tears Jackie held in her eyes. He knew right away Jack did something and he didn't have to think twice about that. Slowly walking over to the emotional pregnant woman, Bobby put a hand on the small of Jackie's back. "Jackie, you okay, kid?" He asked.

Jackie jumped a little, slightly startled by Bobby's appearance. "Oh, hi Bobby. Yeah I'll be okay...just a little emotional today." She said, quickly wiping away her tears. She looked over to the younger Kennedy brother, seeing that he wasn't buying her line. "Really Bobby, I'll be okay. It's just about of being hormonal and heavily pregnant." She said, trying to refrain herself from letting those tears fall.

Bobby just nodded to the young brunette, giving her a quick hug before stepping outside to his brother Jack. He calmly walked over to his older brother, and nodded to him. "Eh, Jack, what's wrong with Jackie? Why is she crying?" He asked sternly, having this rather huge hunch that it wasn't because she was hormonal and pregnant. "I haven't seen Jackie this upset since you had that little affair with whats-her-face...that young college girl from a couple of years back." He noted as he watched Jack.

Jack looked at his younger brother sighing, "It's nothing Bobby." Jack told him moving to go back into the oval office. He made his way over to the desk sitting down sighing to himself.

"It's not, huh?" Bobby said looking to Jack. He wasn't convinced at all that it was nothing. Watching Jack walk way, heading towards the Oval Office. "Jack...what are we going to do with you." He mumbled under his breath as he walked inside to check on Jackie.

Jackie spoke with Bobby for a little bit, then slowly made her way towards the Oval Office. She lightly knocked on the door before walking in. She saw Jack sitting at the desk. She didn't say a single word as she moved further into the office. "Jack..." She whispered.

Looking up from working on his paper work, Jack stared at her. "Yes, Jackie?" Jack asked staring at her.

Jackie sighed softly, frowning a little. "I am so sorry." She said as she walked over to him. She sat on the corner of the desk as Jack looked at his paperwork. "I didn't mean to freak out...but please be honest with me."

Jack sighed looking up at his wife, "I am trying to be honest with you." Jack told her as he pushed the paper work aside. "I just don't know what you want right now, Jackie." Jack admitted to his wife.

Jackie looked to her husband, not really sure what to say. "Jack, I just don't want to lose you." She spoke softly. "And I feel like right now I'm in that moment where I could lose you...and I don't know why..." She admitted as she felt a couple of tears slowly start to trickle down her soft cheeks. She looked at her husband dead in the eyes, trying to get a read from him. "Jack, just be honest with me...is there something going on between you and Ashley?" She then asked, slightly holding her breath as she waited for the answer.

Jack sighed staring at her. Wiping her eye he frowned, "Nothing sexual. She flirted with me. And that was it." Jack told her honestly. "I don't know why I done it, I guess it was just stress." Jack said.

Jackie looked to Jack, trying to hold back any other tears that she had. Listening carefully to Jack's words, she wanted nothing more than to believe him and move forward. However, there was a small part of her that just couldn't believe him. "You did it because of stress?" She questioned, still keeping that look locked on her husband. "Jack, I'm here to help you with that stress...what the hell..." She mumbled.

Jack sighed, "Not with the stress of being President. I don't want to bother you, Jackie. You're pregnant nearly about to give birth. And you don't need anymore stress on you!" Jack told her frowning.

Jackie couldn't help but sigh a little. "Jack, I'm your wife though. I am here to listen and be there for you -- regardless of what it might be that you're going through." She frowned."I know you don't want to stress me out, but at least let me know what's going on a little....don't turn to someone else..."

Jack stared at her and sighed, "I won't the next time. I am sorry." Jack told her.

Jackie stared at her husband as he stared at her. She heard his words, but couldn't help but wonder if she believed him. "Jack, I love you." She said tearfully. "Please know that." She whispered as she walked over to him, slowly wrapping her arms around him.

Jack took and wrapped his arms around his wife. "I love you too, Jackie. I always will." Jack whispered.

A small smile danced on the young brunette's face. "That's good to hear." She said as she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. "I'm sorry for freaking out on you." She whispered against his lips. She placed a hand of hers on her round bump.

"Don't be sorry baby." Jack told her kissing her lips lightly. "I should had come to you, but I didn't. For that I am sorry baby." Jack told her.

A even bright smile danced onto her face now as she felt her husband kiss her back. She knew that no matter how things got, they could always seem to talk it out. It hasn't always been like that, but it was nice that they had finally got to that point in their marriage and life together. "Thank you for hearing me out on this, Jack."
