The Vengeful Ones

Danny laid there his mind a jumbled mess. He was asking for it, after all he couldn't tell her no. And the pain he was going to feel from it when she was gone, didn't stop him from doing the noble thing. He acted like he was watching the movie, but he couldn't focus, it was like this every time she was around. All he could think about was her and how he'd lost all chances of being with her. He knew he pushed to much, but he wasn't someone to sit back idly and let the things he want get away. But with Nova she had all the power, because he couldn't force her into any thing.

Jaelyn was thankful for Haven's company, seeing how the person she was here with was ignoring her completely. So when he got up to go smoke she took it as her que to leave. After all she'd finished her food a while back and felt completely out of place. Not bothering to interrupt Ryker's conversation she darted out of the dinner before heading home.

Kinsley smiled at Ryker as their food was delivered. She couldn't care about what any body thought about her. She was young and enjoying life. Ryker was cute, so she didn't see any harm in playing either. "Well I'd like to hear it." She said rather seductively, "I mean if your comfortable in sharing." She smirked at him.

Nova ended up falling asleep as she watched the movie. Her body snuggled up against Danny as she slept. She woke up the next morning, feeling Danny's arms around her. She smiled a little as she snuggled a little closer to him.

Ryker smiled, "I mean if you want you can come by tomorrow and I can play it for you." He said, smirking. He had always thought Kinsley was attractive, but he didn't know if she felt the same way. Clearly she did like him.

Danny turned off the tv before he dozed off, he was thankful that the next day was Saturday. He didn't think he'd be able to deal with school on top of everything else. Part of him wondered if she'd been here in the morning when he woke up. It wasn't like she hadn't stayed over, in fact the times she had in the past he'd always woken up alone. So when he woke in the morning to fine her still in his arms he was a bit shocked. "Morning." He mumbled, not wanted to get up just yet.

Kinsley smiled at him, "I'd like that." She said, before turning to her food. As she ate she noticed that the other two weren't with them. "Seems they've hit it off well." She chuckled before giving him a knowing look. He'd liked that girl, but she wasn't about to let someone else take her prize. "Haven has always been rather friendly with the ladies." She added, hoping to get it in his mind the girl had been looking for one thing only.

Nova opened her eyes, "Morning." She whispered. She looked at him, "Did you sleep okay?" She asked him. She reached out and ran her fingers through his hair. She liked waking up in his bed.

Ryker looked over realizing they were gone. He was kind of hurt that Jaelyn left without saying goodbye. "yea." He said, looking back at Kinsley. He smiled at her, "So are you going to come see us play next week?" He asked

Danny offered her a soft smile, "it was fine, you?" He asked hoping she'd not be uncomfortable. After all they were still cuddling and even though he was very much awake, he made no effort to move. "Hungry?" He asked, wondering if he should make food, or if she'd even stay for it.

Kinsley smirked at him before chuckling, "have I missed a show yet?" She questioned him. She knew there at the beginning she'd not been a fan. But after hanging out with Haven she started to like their music. More so the members in it, she couldn't place it, but something about a guy in a band just turned her on.

Nova smiled, "I am actually kind of hungry." She said. She pulled away from him and sat up. She ran her fingers through her hair, before she pulled it up into a messy bun. She knew that she would eventually have to go back home. She definitely wanted to leave before his mother got home.

Ryker shook his head, "That's true you really like us." He teased her. He was kind of excited that she was interested in him. He put his arm around her, resting it on the back of the booth. "Why is it that you like the band so much?" He asked. He knew they were good, but he wondered what she thought.

Danny smiled before nodding, "alright lets go see what we've got." He suggested, before standing from the bed. He watched as she pulled her hair up, and even with all the busies she was still beautiful. Part of him wanted to say it, but he didn't want to ruin what was going on right now. He was her safe haven.

Kinsley smiled when she felt his arm drape along the back side of the booth, she could feel it touching her none the less. "Well you can't deny yourself your pleasures." She informed him, "and nothing beast seeing somethings raw potential." She shrugged, "the music speaks to you, and it doesn't hurt there's a few good looking faces added to the mix." She teased back.

Nova walked with him downstairs and watched as he went through the kitchen. She had never really went this far into his house. It was pretty empty, but she assumed that was because his mom didn't care. She leaned against the counter, "Am i going to have to worry about your mom running me out of here?" She asked.

Ricky smiled, "I think you are my favorite fan." He said. He knew he was flirting and he knew that he probably shouldn't have. He did like Jaelyn, but she ditched on him so he figured he could move on to Kinsley. Jaelynn just wasn't interested in him like Kinsley was.

Danny froze his search of food when she mentioned his mother. He hadn't thought about it, but it was because he was used to her being gone. "I can't honestly say, she comes and goes as she pleases." He informed her before opening the fridge. "I think she made up with her boy friend so probably not." He then pulled out some thing to make omelets. "How does omelets sound?" He asked.

Kinsley smirked up at him, "I think I need that in writing." She teased him, before hearing her phone go off. Pulling it out she read over the message before sighing. "Sorry it looks like I've got to get home." She then turned back to her phone exiting out of her text, the pulling open her contacts, "put your number in and I'll text you about tomorrow." She told him, handing him the phone.

Nova nodded, "Yea that sounds good." She said. She watched him move around the kitchen, "Do you want me to help with anything?" She asked him. She didn't mind helping if he needed it. She felt weird just standing around and watching him.

Ryker took the phone and typed in his number. "I'll see you tomorrow." He said as he watched her get up. He watched as she walked off, then paid the bill and headed to his car. He was ready to go home and get some sleep.

Danny looked over at her, "well why don't you mix together the ingredients you want." He suggested, not really used to having people around. He'd never had help before so it was nice to have some company. "Help yourself to anything in the kitchen." He knew that some people didn't like certain things, so allowing her to make what she wanted then he'd cook it was alright with him.

Jaelynn huffed as she laid on her bed. She felt dejected, of course he'd be interested in another girl. It made her feel as if he was only looking to get laid. Rolling in her bed she looked at the number on the paper she'd gotten. Crumpling it up she threw it in the trash. With Haven she knew where he stood, sure he was nice to talk to. But he was truly interested in sex.

Nova nodded, "Okay." She said. She got the stuff she wanted and made the stuff for her omelette then gave it to him. It was nice to just spend time with him. She leaned against the kitchen counter as she watched him, "Do you always cook like this?" She asked him, smiling.

Ryker walked into his house and went to his room, getting ready for bed. He laid down on the bed and fell asleep quickly. The next morning he laid there texting Kinsley. She seemed pretty excited about being with him.

Danny took the ingredients from her before pouring them into the warm pan. "Yeah, sorta." He answered her questioned, turning to look at her. "Well if I want to eat then I've got to take care of it." He shrugged, his mother had done one good thing before she started deserting him. She taught him how to cook, and he prided himself on being able to do so. "I only cook when I don't want cereal or sandwiches." He informed her.

Jealynn sighed as she started to get ready for her day, only to realize it was Saturday and she didn't have a damn thing to do. Deciding to go for a run, she started to braid her hair. After last night she figured she wouldn't be seeing Ryker any more. Their slow growing friendship wouldn't last. She knew that he'd only been nice to her because she was new, but now there wasn't any sexual tension between them things would be a lot lonelier.

Kinsley smiled as her phone went off. Even though she was happy to be talking to Ryker, she still felt a bit bad. Rolling over in her bed she smiled as she watched Haven pulling on his shirt. She'd been seeing him for a while now, normally it was just for after show treatments. But since the first show they put on she'd had her eyes on Ryker though he hadn't fallen for any of her charms in the past. Though it didn't help that Haven was always interfering.

Nova nodded, "How good are you at it?" She asked him. "What all can you make?" She asked. She was interested to hear what kind of skills he had. "Any other secret skills I should know about?" She asked as she watched him. Nova let her eyes meet his and and smiled.

Ryker walked downstairs, getting himself some breakfast and a cup of coffee before he walked out back and sat on the porch. He sighed as he looked at his phone answered Kinsley's check. He decided to text Jaelyn and ask how her night was. He sent it then began to eat. He still wanted to be nice to Jaelyn even if she didn't like him.

Danny smirked at her, "well I like what I eat so I'm going to say yea." He chuckled, "you'll have to tell me." He smiled as he added shredded cheese to the pan, then flipped it in half. Allowing the cheese to melt, he then plated it up and handed it to her. "Eat up." He said then started on making his. "I don't know, I've made a lot of food. Chicken is one of my favorites, so I've experimented a lot with it." He told her.

Jaelynn grabbed her phone as it started to sound off, flipping it open she peered at the text Ryker sent her. Sighing she ignored it before turning on her bluetooth the put her head phones in and turned on her music. Exiting her room, stopping as she noticed movement coming from the living room. Biting on her lip she then headed to the back door, hoping to avoid any one. Right now she just wanted to be alone. She quickly crossed the back yard, going to the gate on the chain linked fence.

Nova took the plate from him, "Thanks." She said. She sat at the table with him and began to eat. "Pretty good. It's better than my usually cereal." She teased him. "I guess I will be coming over for breakfast from now on." She said. Her mom was always too strong out to cook and her dad could care less if she ate or not.

Ryker sighed as he leaned back against the chair on his porch. He looked over seeing Jaelyn. He assumed that she just was busy and didn't have time to talk to him. He looked at his phone, seeing that Kinsley was getting ready to come over. He got up and went upstairs to get dressed.

Danny finished cooking his food before taking a seat next to her at the table. Letting out a chuckle at her comment he shook his head. "Not that I wouldn't mind having you over, I don't think that's going to happen." He told her, not really wanting to bring up last nights' fight. He however couldn't help but wonder just how true her words were. And he didn't really want to continue what ever this was, because it was leading him to have hope. Hope she'd already crushed. He knew he said he'd always be there for her if she needed him, but this was pushing his limits.

Kinsley smiled at the text from Ryker, she then started to get her things together to head over to his place. She knew that Ryker was different for Haven, he seemed more like the boyfriend material. And she just hoped that he'd want her for more than just sex. Sure she'd always put off that teasing personality. She wanted things to be a bit different with Ryker.

Nova frowned, "Why do you say that? Do you not like my company Danny?" She asked as she watched him. She set her fork down, "If you want I can leave." She said. She was sure she had over stayed her welcome. She also knew he was probably still pissed at her.

Ryker walked downstairs when he heard the doorbell. He opened the door, smiling when he seen Kinsley. "Hey, come in." He said, letting her in. "Did you want to hang out down here or in my room?" He asked. He figured he would let her pick what made her comfortable.

Danny shook his head, "just eat." He told her, as he continued eating. He could tell she wasn't having it, rolling his eyes he sighed. "Fine you want to hear it then I'll tell you." He bit his lip as he looked at her, "I feel like you take my friendship for granted and never take me seriously." He sighed, "I enjoy being with you, but when we're not in these four walls you don't want anything to do with me and that bugs the hell out of me." He looked at his plate. "You've made it clear you want nothing to do with me, so I'm not kidding myself. I get why you're here but please don't say things you don't mean. I don't mind you being here, I just don't want to get my hopes up." He said, hoping she'd understand where he was coming from. Also he knew she didn't want him that way so he wasn't going to tell her his feelings.

Kinsley smiled at him, "hey." She said surprised by his next question. Most guys would just assume the bedroom was the place to go. But he was kinder than that and it melted her heart. "Where ever the music happens." She told him. She really loved seeing him get lost in his music, it was one of the things that drew her to him.

Nova looked at him, "We just had a conversation about this. I said I wanted to he friends. I invited you to the bar and you freaked out and became mad for no reason. Which by the way you never explained." She said. Nova sighed and looked at her food, "I am tired for fighting." She said as she moved her food around her plate. Nova liked Danny and how nice he was, but she felt like they fought more than anything.

Ryker nodded, "Alright hold on." He said. He walked upstairs and got his guitar real quick before returning. "Follow me." He said, leading her to the patio. He opened the door letting her go out first. "I like hanging out here " He said as he sat with her.
