The Vengeful Ones

Danny shook his head, it was so much harder for him then he thought it was going to be. She walked around like nothing bothered her, so happy. And it pissed him off to no end. "You know what's wrong." He shook his head. Before turning to the bar, help from a fake ID, he ordered a drink before downing it. "Maybe I shouldn't have." He scoffed before signaling for a refill.

Jaelyn watched Ryker, the way his body moved. He was truly happy being up there. She couldn't help but smile, knowing it was his dream. And that it was his escape. Those dimples weren't the only thing pulling her to him now. And even though the music sucked, she was happy to watch the show. Smiling at Ryker once he got off the stage, greeting him. "Hey." She nodded as he asked. "You guys love this, so much, I can see you enjoy it." She smiled, "it's quite a sight to witness."

Nova frowned as he downed his drink, "What is your problem?" She said, standing near him. "I invited you to hang out not be a dick. Though that is kind of your thing right?" She argued. She frowned as he went to drink move, putting her hand in his arm to stop him. "Listen to me god dammit." She snapped. She looked at him as his eyes looked at her. "If you didn't want to be here then why come?" She asked.

Ryker chuckled, "Yea it's awesome." he said as he walked to the bar with her. He ordered a bottle of water, "You want anything?" He asked her as he pulled out his wallet. He was glad she showed up. He really liked her.

Danny scoffed as she asked why he came. "Because I'm a fucking idiot who apparently likes pain," he told her, before throwing back the drink. "And being lead on is my favorite thing in the world." He said sarcastically. Before paying for his drinks, he stood up before starting to walk away. He knew it was a shot in the dark that she liked him, but he'd been friend zoned and there wasn't any way out of it.

Smiling as she walked with him she shook her head, "nah I'm good." She told him, not wanting anythings. After all she'd really just gotten here and drinking wasn't her thing. Sure she enjoy the scene every now and then. But tonight was about her supporting her new friends, and Ryker. She felt that if she wanted to move things from friends then she'd have to at least try to enjoy his music.

Nova frowned as he started to walk away. She walked after him, grabbing his arm. "How is being your friend leading you on?" She asked, glaring at him. "I just wanted to spend time with you and you always do this!" She yelled at him. "If I bother you that much then just..." She looked away from him. She looked back at him, "Leave me alone." She said, letting go of his arm. It was hard for her to tell him that because he was the only person that was always helping her. She stepped back from him.

Ryker was glad that she came along. "How did you convince your mom to let you come?" he asked. He knew she mentioned that her mom was strict sometimes. Maybe her mom liked the idea of her having friends in their new town.

Danny scoffed glaring at her, "kissing me isn't leading me on?" He snapped back at her. Shaking his head as she accused him of being like this always. Stopping as she told him to stay away from her. The glare fell from his face, as he watched her step away from him. "Fine." He told her, feeling defeated. He didn't stick around after that, leaving the club.

Jaelyn chuckled hearing his question, "well she thinks that I'm at the movies with a friend." She smirked at him, knowing that most of the time she was a good little girl. But here she'd lied to her mother in order to see a guy. Smiling she nibbled on her lip as she felt his eyes on her. She loved the attention she was getting from him, hoping that he liked her the way she did with him.

Nova frowned as he left then she went back to the stage. She bit her bottom lip lightly, knowing that she pissed him off. Nova decided to leave after a bit and headed back to her. She went to her room, shutting the door. Her father wasn't home so she assumed he was out getting wasted somewhere. Nova changed and laid on her bed. She heard her dad come in the house yelling about random stuff. She shut her lamp off hoping he wouldn't come in her room. Nova closed her eyes as her bedroom door swung open. She gasped as she was pulled from her bed. She attempted to block his punches, feeling him hit her jaw. Once he left she placed her hand on her mouth, tasting the blood. She looked at her hand, realizing she was bleeding really bad. She pulled her shoes on, going over to Danny's she was glad when she seen his mom wasn't home. She knocked on his back door, hoping he wouldn't push her away after earlier. She kept her hand over her mouth the blood running over her fingers. When he answered she seen his pissed off face and she started bawling. She pulled her hand from her mouth revealing the cut that clearly needed stitches. "Please help me." She managed to get out between sobs.

Ryker smiled, "I said get out of the house not lie." He teased her. "You rebel." He said, laughing. He finished his water, knowing he had to go back on stage. "Alright I have to go finish the show. I will meet you after though." He said, smirking. He walked off and went to get his guitar.

Once Danny was home he stared at a bottle of whiskey. He could tell you every thing to know about it. Every color, from the bottle to the label. He wanted to pick it up and down the contents, but he knew that he would be just like any piece of shit that was in his family. Not knowing how long he was sitting there. Hearing a knock at the door he stood, his brow furrowed as he looked at the door. It wasn't until another knock rang out that he realized it was the back door. Moving through his house he sighed knowing just who was just behind that door. Grabbing the knob he pulled the door open, all thoughts of yelling left his head once his eyes took in her appearance. Pulling her into his house he rushed her to the bathroom. "What did he do to you?" He asked, as he started to pull things out to stop the bleeding. Placing a hand towel to her mouth. He was pissed and knew that he had to stay level headed to help her.

Jaelyn smiled as he headed back to the stage. She was happy that she'd came, though she didn't like the music to much. Nibbling on her lip she sat on one of the bar stools, watching the rest of the set. She watched as the guys tucked back stage, knowing they would need some time to clean up. Turning to the bartender she got herself a drink while she waited. She enjoyed hanging out with the guys and was glad that she'd came to support them.

Nova sat on Danny's bathroom counter, trying to calm herself so she could actually talk to him. She took the hand towel from him once he put it to her mouth. She was glad he was helping her and not yelling. "He was drunk as always and just decided beating on me was a good idea." She said, looking away from him. She hated to ask Danny for help, but he really was the only one that knew what her father did to her. She kept her hand on the towel, not wanting to move it because she wasn't sure how bad it was. She closed her eyes, trying to calm down. Though she just started crying again once she opened them and looked at Danny.

Once they finished getting everything together he walked out and found Jaelyn. "Well i'm glad you decided to stay." He said, smiling at her. "The guys were going to head down the this restaurant down the street. You want to come along and get something to eat. I'll pay." He said, as he leaned against the bar. He wanted to spend more time with her outside of school where he could actually get to know her.

Danny was frantic to help her, he was uncertain on what he could truly do. If he would be of any help at all, or if he should take her to the hospital. Biting on his lip he took a wet cloth and started to clean her face aside of the hand towel on her face. "I'm so sorry." He told her, wanting to comfort her. But he knew that he couldn't, they'd both moved past the part of being friends and it didn't end well. And now they weren't even suppose to be talking, but he couldn't turn her away not when he felt the way he did about her. The state she was in hurt him to see. And he wanted more than anything to help, but he didn't know if he could.

Jaelyn smiled at Ryker as he offered to take her out to eat, even though it was with the group she figured why not. "I could eat." She told him, before putting her cup down on the bar. She turned and followed him out of the club.

Nova let him clean her up, then looked at him. Thankfully the bleeding slowed down. She hugged his body to hers and held him, resting her head on his shoulder. She was glad that she had him in her life. "I'm sorry about earlier." She said as she wiped her tears from her eyes. She held him, not wanting to let him go. She closed her eyes, trying to stop crying. She hated crying in front of people.

Ryker walked with her to the diner then walked in and sat down. He sat with her, handing her a menu. "Get whatever sounds good." He said. He looked over the menu, deciding on a burger and some fries. He was always really hungry after a show.

Danny held her close, knowing that she was hurt and he couldn't let her just cry with out comfort. Sighing he wanted to be mad but he couldn't since she was hurt. "Don't be, we both said some hurtful things to the other." He knew that he was just being nice, but he was hurt. Even though he would let it drop for the time being. "Why don't we get into something more comfortable." He informed her, seeing her clothes covered in blood. He had some things she could wear for the time being.

Jaelyn smiled as he handed her the menu, though she was slightly surprised it was just the two of them. Nibbling on her lip she looked over the menu, before deciding what she wanted. Just as she was about to mention that a voice rang out. "Scooch over beautiful." Haven's voice rang out. Causing her to look up at him, before sliding over so he could sit next to her. Though what surprised her was when a girl sat down next to Ryker. Though she wasn't to concern about the space between the two.

Nova pulled away and nodded. She walked with him to his bedroom, glancing around it. She took the shirt and sweatpants her offered her and changed. She sat on his bed, looking at her hands. She felt even more terrible that she had to come to him after being so mean to him. She looked at him, knowing he was still mad. "You don't have to be nice you know. I was a bitch." She said.

Ryker smiled as Kinsley sat beside of him, "Hey Kinsley." He said, smiling. Kinsley was one of his good friends he knew in school and she hung out with the band. "Kinsley this is Jaelyn. Jaelyn this is Kinsley." He said, introducing the two girls. He figured he didn't see any harm in everyone getting along. He smiled, "You decide on what you want?" He asked Jaelyn.

Danny smiled when she accepted his clothing, he slipped out of his room while she did it. And headed down to grab them something to drink. Walking back into his room he noticed her perched on his bed. Placing the drinks down on his night stand. He looked over at her. "I'm used to bitches." He informed her, before sitting next to her. "But right now lets not worry about that right now." He told her. "Just relax, we can watch something if you'd like." He changed the subject.

Jaelyn smiled at the introduction waving softly at the other girl. Though she was surprised he introduced the girl and not his friend. After all this was the only person she hadn't met at school. But she didn't say anything as he turned his attention back towards her, nodding she smiled at him. Though she wasn't completely comfortable with the new people. As she sat there she watched as the attention shifted from herself to Kinsley. It felt like there was something going on between the two. "It's all good their just friends." She heard the guy next to her whisper, before smiling at her. "I'm Haven, we haven't met before." He offered her his hand before shaking it.

Kinsley smiled at Ryker, she'd always like the attention she got from him. And the more she batted her eyes the more he gave her. "I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your performances tonight." She told him softly, knowing just how to stroke a man's ego.

Nova nodded when he mentioned watching something. "Okay." She said. She laid down next to him and pulled his blanket over herself. She looked at him, "Thanks for helping me." She said as she looked back at the tv.

Ryker smiled at Kinsley, "Oh yea? I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He said. He had always liked that Kinsley appreciated him and the band. She had always been someone he could talk to for hours. He looked over as the waitress came and he let everyone else order before he ordered his food.

Danny looked at her, as he turn the tv on. "I told you, no matter what I'll always be her for you." He informed her. Before offering her the pop he pulled from the fridge. He'd meant it when he told her that he'd be there for her. She was in trouble and he wasn't going to allow her to hurt herself any more than had already been done to her.

Kinsley smiled at him, "I always enjoy watching you perform." She informed him, watching the waiter come. She then ordered her food, before turning to look back at Ryker. "So hows that new song coming?" She asked him, knowing more about the band thanks to Haven. Her relationship with him had always been something kept quite.

Nova looked at him, taking the soda. "Thanks." She said. She took a sip of the drink and handed it back to him. "I don't know what I would do without you Danny." She said as she laid her head on his pillow, watching the tv. She snuggled up to him as they watch the show.

Ryker was surprised when she mentioned the new song, "Oh it going okay I guess. I still have a few things to work out then we can finally share it with the world." He said, laughing softly
