Casey nervously looked all over her body for any marks or anything but she couldn't see any. Her whole body was still shaking as she slowly got her breathing under control looking up at Jonathan. "We we're setting there... And I went to move to the sink.. I dropped the glasses and it broke over his hand, he had a bunch of cuts so I turned to get the first aid kit and he just... Well... He had been bitten" she said softly. Feeling like an idiot for letting him in.

Jonathan nodded lightly, and put his arms around her, "ssh it's okay, you didn't know," he said lightly. He looked at her, "he should of told us, we might of been able to help him, or do something," he said lightly. He put his gun on the bench, "come on lets head outside for a bit," he suggested, not wanting to have her looking at Daniel's body anymore than she needed to.

Casey couldn't even speak, she just silently followed him out of the cabin before her legs gave way under her and she fell in to the grass. "This is all fucking bullshit" she whimper d, tears beginning to flow down her cheeks again.

Jonathan crouched next to her, "I'm sorry Casey, the world is shit and unfair, we just have to do our best to survive it," he told her. He wiped away her tears as best he could, "I'll do my best to help you," he promised.

Casey wrapped her arms around him tightly, she wished she could be more like him. He was brave, nothing seemed to phase him. She was weak, everything scared her, she could not have survived without him.

Jonathan held her close to him, "I'm here for you okay," he said lightly stroking his hand through her hair. He was ready to comfort her as long as she needed. But he also wanted to dispose of Daniel's body from the cabin.

Casey's entire body was still shaking as she let go of him. "I um... Could you take him out of there?" She asked softly, pulling her knees up tight to her chest.

Jonathan nodded gently, brushing hair out of her face. "Where do you want me to bury him?" he asked her. He wanted to know whether she wanted him close or not. He stood up and headed towards the cabin once she'd answered him.

"put him a little bit away.... Just in case the virus spread in to the ground or something" she said, not quite thinking straight but it was all she could do. She stayed sitting on the grass, her knees pulled to her chest as it got darker and she waited for Jonathan to return

Jonathan nodded and carried Daniel out to the very edge of the perimeter they'd made. He hastily dug a hole for him inside the fence burying the body. He covered it back up. After about an hour he made his way back to her. "Hey how are you feeling?" he asked her.

Casey shrugged slilently and held her arms out to him. She hadn't realised how cold she was until her skin touched his and she could feel the heat radiating off of him. She began to shiver and slowly managed to pull herself upright. "Let's go inside"

Jonathan nodded lightly and helped her up, "okay lets go inside," he said. He led her towards the cabin, and inside. "I'm sorry for getting weird again," he said.

Casey glanced at him "what do you mean by that?" She asked softly, trying her best not to look at the floor where Daniel had fallen once they entered the cabin.

Jonathan looked at her, as he helped her to the bed. "Well I went all quiet, and switched off when he was here," he said softly.

Casey shook her head softly "it's okay Jon.. we we're pretty awful to you. I get it" she said gently. Pulling the blanket up tight around her.

Jonathan nodded lightly, "Yeah, I just didn't want you to think it was because of you," he said lightly. He moved back towards the door, locking it.

Casey sighed and lay back in the bed, but she couldn't close her eyes. Every time she did she Saw Danny, his face contorting in to a monster she didn't know, his body lifeless on the floor, a black ooze coming from his head. "I'm gonna sound like a little kid, but tell me a story, about you about anything.. I really don't care just please" she said quickly, grabbing on to his hand so he couldn't move away from her.

Jonathan watched her, he felt bad, she had been friends with Danny at one time. So it must have been hard for her, "I don't know, one time my dad took me hunting," he said. He didn't have many interesting stories from his life, at least none worth sharing.

Casey shook her head "no.. not hunting" she said, looking down in to her lap. "Umm.. your 13th birthday. Just tell me about your 13th birthday" she suggested, chewing on her lip. She didn't care what the story was she just needed a distraction from blood and gore.

Jonathan frowned softly, "okay, uh my thirteenth birthday was good, we went..." he began. He didn't want to tell her the true story of his birthday, that no one bothered to come, and he spent the day with just his dad. Thinking quickly on the spot he continued, "...we went to the beach, myself and a couple friends."

He regaled her with a made up story of the 13th birthday he would of truly wanted.
