She stayed on that position for most of the night until she realised that the sun was coming up outside. She yawned softly, glancing over at Jon in the bed and smiling gently. She wasn't used to these kinds of feelings, and she wondered if it was all a mistake.

Jonathan slept soundly into the early morning. He rolled over, and looked at Casey. "Morning, could you not sleep?" he asked gently. He felt bad, that she looked like she had been up all night.

Casey shook her head silently as she realised he was awake, slowly getting up and pouring them each a small glass of water. She held the galss out to him, taking a seat on the edge of the bed and wiping her eyes. "Did you sleep okay?" She asked him sweetly.

Jonathan took the water, and sat up on the bed. "Yeah I slept fine," he said softly. He sipped the water, "why couldn't you sleep?" he asked lightly. He was concerned she couldn't get comfortable beside him. He looked over at her, knowing things would only get harder, as time went on.

Casey shrugged softly "my mind was just racing, not about anything in particular.. I just couldn't wind down" she told him with a soft nod, sipping at her water as she rubbed at her shoulder. "did you give me a hickey?" She asked, feeling a weird bruised feeling between her neck and shoulder.

Jonathan nodded lightly, "Oh okay," he said calmly. He looked at her neck, "looks like I did, sorry," he said softly. He put his hand on her leg, "I'll get to work on the fence some more today," he told her.

Casey chuckled softly "it's fine.. not like there's anyone around to see it" she commented with a sigh. "I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something up with my neck" she told him, running a hand over her red hair, combing out some of the tngles with her fingers. "yeah no problem,, I can help in whatever way I can" she told him.

Jonathan nodded, "no just silly old me, and I don't mind," he teased softly. He sighed softly, "I really should look into making a way to shower, probably won't be able to manage hot showers, but running water would be nice," he said lightly.

He smiled lightly, "thanks, I'll come get you if I need a hand," he said.

Casey nodded gently "yeah that would be nice, be able to properly wash my hair" she told him with a soft smile. "Don't worry too much though, the stream works okay for the moment" she said, giving his hand a little squeeze before moving over to the table to pick up her hoodie, pulling it on.

After a couple hours passed,she went outside to check how he was doing with the fence. "Wow you've got a lot done" she commented.

Jonathan nodded lightly, "yeah that was my thought," he said calmly. He gathered his things before picking up his gun, and heading out to work on the fence.

By the time Casey came out to check on him, Jonathan had strung another two wires, and was working on reinforcing them with branches he'd gathered. He looked around at his handy work, "I'm less worried that a walker will make it's way past this now, another human though should be slowed down," he said. He moved to sit down on a rock nearby.

Casey nodded softly, examing what he had done, biting down on her lip. "Her I brought you some water" she said, holding out the small glass to him. "It's hot you could get dehydrated really easy" she reminded him, sitting down in the grass her legs crossed.

Jonathan nodded taking the water, "thanks, yeah I'll need to be careful, don't want to risk collapsing," he said. He sipped the water, "so did you take a nap this morning?" he asked softly.

Casey nodded "yeah for a little bit" she said, although she was lying. Each time she closed her eyes, her mind was filled with a tsunami of different thoughts that she just couldn't escape. Should she be looking for her parents? Her friends? Was all of this too much? What if Jonathan died? Would she survive on her own? Was she becoming too dependant? We're there other like them out there?

She sighed softly, snapping herself out of it. "you need some food?" She asked

Jonathan smiled, "good I'm glad," he said lightly. He moved towards her, "yeah food could be good, then is there anything you wanted to do?"he asked. He was worried about her, she seemed distant and worried. He felt a niggling concern that they should keep moving.

Casey shook her head softly "don't worry about keeping me company. It's more important you get that done, I'll go pull together some food" she told him with a soft smile, placing a kiss on his cheek before she headed back inside, running a hand through her hair.

Jonathan nodded lightly, "okay sounds good, I'll get done by nightfall at this rate," he said. He reached out and gave her buttock a gentle squeeze before turning back and getting back to work. He hoped they be able to make this place safe, and live relatively normally.

Casey smiled at him, chucking quietly as he grabbed at her ass before. Heading back inside and pulling together some food, calling him inside once it was ready.

She sat down at the table, staring at the food. She missed real meals, that her mom used to cook. She just missed the normalcy of things.

Jonathan headed inside once she called him. He looked at the food, and thanked her. "This looks good, better than simply out of a can cold," he said softly. He sat down, with her.

"Hopefully when everything is secure, I might go out hunting, get us some proper food," he said softly.

Casey smiled softly that sounds really good, I'd love some proper meat" she told him, her mouth salavating just at the thought of it. She slowly began to eat the canned goop off the plate. She looked up at him across the table, she was really impressed by how well he was coming with all of this.

Jonathan nodded, "yeah, I want to make this place pretty much walker proof first though," he said. He slowly ate the food in front of him. He sat back, "I was thinking, how would you feel about having any unbitten survivors stick around if they show up?" he asked. He figured they should talk about it now, before it potentially happened, he had built the fence around quite a large area, already figuring they could set up gardens, and things over time.
