Casey thought for a minute "I mean yeah sure... But do we have the resources to do that?" She asked, looking around. She knew they had plenty of food and water for now, but that was only for two people, it would deplete very quickly otherwise. "But I mean, I'd definitely be okay with helping other people" she added

Jonathan nodded, "I'm not sure, we'll have to be careful, but I wanted to know where you stood on the idea, before anyone showed up," he said. He smiled, "once things are sorted, hopefully the hunting will be good, and we could use extra people to help scavenge," he said.

Casey nodded "yeah that all sounds good...but um, I mean if anybody comes we also need to be careful about like, their intentions" she said softly, afraid that she sounded a little stupid, that this was just a blatantly obvious thing.

Jonathan nodded softly looked at her, "yeah, if was thinking of how to protect ourselves," he said. He placed his hand on her leg, "I'd never let them sleep in the cabin with us, that's our place," he said.

Casey took in a deep breath,nodding. "Yeah of course, but where would we put other people?" She asked himshoving her food around her plate as she looked up at him waiting for his answer.

Jonathan smiled softly, "I thought we could try find some tents, or something, put them up inside the fence, after we've sorted a garden and shower out," he said.

Casey watched him as he spoke noddinflg along softly as she continued to push her food around. "Hopefully it'll work out yhen" she said to hom with a soft smile, pulling her red hair back behind her ear, fidgeting with it slightly.

Jonathan watched her, 'What's wrong?" he asked her, noticing her seeming to be distracted. He wasn't sure whether he'd done something wrong, he wasn't used to being around people in person that often.

Caaey looked up at him, shaking her head quickly. "Nothing. Nothings wrong, im fine" she said, pulling a wide smile over her lips as she forced herself to tak a bite of the food, still smiling at him. She forced down the rest of her food, which felt like it stuck at the back of her throat like cement. Once finished she picled up their two plates, beginning to scrub them in the sink.

Jonathan nodded softly, "okay, as long as you're sure," he said lightly. He watched her closely, then sat back thinking. He smiled weakly, "would you be okay here, by yourself for tomorrow?" he asked her.

Casey scrubbed the plates jusy a little too vigarously wanting to get them really clean. She turned to look at him as he asked would she be good on her own. She nodded softly turning back to the dishes. "Yeah of course.. why? What do you have to do?" She asked, keeping her eyes trained on the plates and the damp sponge.

Jonathan was unsure, he felt like something might be wrong, but she'd said she was fine. He sighed softly, "I was just going to search for some supplies, on the edge of town, it'll be fine," he said softly. He figured some decent time apart, might calm things down a bit.

Casey set the plates down to dry and nodded "yeah that's probably a good idea, I can come if you want" she added, although she didn't really want to have to go with him. She didn't like the town, it was too eerily unfamiliar for a place she once called home.

Jonathan looked at her, "no I'll be okay on my own, can you find something to do here?" he asked her. He wanted to make life here, as normal as possible for them, but knew just being together was abnormal, they were the strangest of matches.

Casey nodded "yeah.. I'll start setting up a garden patch or something" she told him, thinking she might have seen some seed packets down in the shed. She sat down on the bed, crossing her legs under her as she chewed on her thumbnail.

Jonathan nodded, "okay, that would be awesome, it would be great to eat something fresh," he said softly. He looked out the window gently, "I'll sleep on the couch tonight," he told her softly.

Casey nodded, watching him as he looked out the window, staring a little blankly as he spoke. She felt like her mood was rubbing off on him now too, but she didn't know how to pull herself out of it. She hoped she hadn't done anything to upset him. "Okay sure, if that's what you want" she said to him softly.

Jonathan smiled and looked at her, "yeah I'll be okay," he said softly. He looked at the gun cabinet, "I'll leave you the shotgun and the hunting rifle, in case you need it, when I leave for tomorrow," he said.

Casey watched as he got settled on the sofa, chewing on her lip gently. "You take the rifle... I'm not good at aiming it, just the shotgun is fine" she told him softly before climbing under the blankets. "Are you warm enough?" She asked.

Jonathan nodded lightly, "okay," he said lightly. He relaxed back onto the sofa, "yeah I'm fine," he said softly. He wanted to give her some space, hopefully tomorrow when he got back, she'd be feeling better
