Casey swallowed as she watched him pick up the bullets. It always perplexed her how such tiny metal pellets could couse so much damage and destruction.

"Should I take it outside?" She asked him, not sure if she was going to be firing or not.

Jonathan stood back up, "I don't think, not quite yet," he said lightly. He closed the safe up again, before heading to the table. 'I want to talk you through how to hold it, aim it, and shot it, then how to load it, first."

He placed the ammo on the table. Waiting for her to join him.

Casey took a seat at the table, and gingerly placed the gun between the two of them, afraid it would spontaneously combust or something and leave the two of them to rot.

"Okay so what's first?" The read head asked, pulling her greasy ponytail over her shoulder and listening attentively.

Jonathan picked up the gun, "it's important that when you're holding it, and not needing to shoot it, you never point it at anyone, alway hold it pointing down, that way if you accidently discharge it, the bullet will hit the ground," he explained. He handed the gun to her and helped her take a proper grip of it.

"That makes sense" Casey said with a tiny laugh, watching as he fitted the Hun on to her hand, twisting it to ensure she was holding it correctly.

"Okay cool.." it did t feel as strange in her ha d as she had expected it too.

Jonathan smiled softly, it felt odd touching her hands in this way. He kept talking her through how to use the gun. How to aim with it, and finally how to pull the trigger.

He blushed lightly, as he was finishing his lesson, he had finally clicked why people liked her so much. Being this close to her, it had been hard not to notice her beauty.

She repeated several if the things he had thought her back to him and smiles triumphantly. "I think I've got it!" she sqealed happily and gently placed the gun back on her table, one of her hands still intertwined with his.

She looked up at him and noticed he was blushing ever do slightly. She slowly removed her ha d from his, hoping she hadn't made him feel uncomfortable. "That ks so much jon" she said gently,poking I to his eyes with a warm smile.

Jonathan smiled softly, "you've learnt well, now hopefully you'll be able to protect yourself, but don't worry too much if you miss a few shots at first," he said lightly.

He sat back, "Okay do you want to head into town now?" he asked her. He was hoping to hit the residential part as well, maybe one of the houses had running water still.

She nodded, understanding her aim would be off, but she still felt much safer with a gun than a knife.

"Yeah that's still okay with me." she began to gather up her things, ensuring the guns and food were locked again before nodded at him to show she was ready to get going.

Jonathan smiled softly watching her get ready, he got his own guns ready, and waited by the door. He was finally actually looking at her occasionally. He led her out the door, "we should look for a place with running water, I could use a shower," he told her.

Casey nodded, her eyes wide. "I can honestly say I've been avoiding lifting my arms for several weeks now" she joked. She had not bathed properly, other than the wipe of semi damp towel since she moved out to the cabin.

"I also need to find warm clothes and give you your jacket back" she. Meted, and smiled at him.

Jonathan chuckled softly, "well, maybe we'll get lucky and find a place with water and warm clothes," he suggested. He was sure he also smelled pretty bad, but had since this had started he'd managed to find a few changes of clothes, which it appeared she had not.

Casey sighed as she left the cabin, standing g back as he exited, before placing g the key back on top of the door frame.

She glanced over at him before leading the way back down the track they had taken to get here. "I know it's far too much of a luxury, but imagine how good a hot shower would feel" she said to him, closing her eyes just trying to imagine the bliss.

Jonathan smiled softly stepping out of the cabin. He grew tense and even more alert. "That would be something," he said lightly. He moved towards the rocks that they would have to scramble down to get to town.

Casey walked slowly beside him, holding the gun facing down toward the ground just like he had shown her. She began to slowly scale down the rocks, glaanving back at Jonathan ever couple of seconds,

"How many of them have you killed?" She asked gently out of morbid curiosity

Jonathan was standing watch to make sure they were safe climbing down. He smiled softly and climbed down after checking it was clear.

"Quite a few, over a hundred," he said softly. He wasn't massively happy killing things, but this seemed different.

Casey's eyes grew wide. "Holy shot" she whispered under her breath shaking her head. "That one in the supermarket was the first one I ever SAW" she told him, stating at him in amazement

She turned around waiting at the bottom of the rocks for him.

Jonathan scrambled down the rocks slowly. He landed on his feet, and took the gun off his shoulder. "Yeah I've been in town since the start, just killing any I saw," he stated. He moved towards the path carefully, he still needed her guidance so he wouldn't get lost.

Walking along, Casey looked up in to the trees and pointed "Always look for the red ties in the higher branches. And never follow the yellow, they're a ply to get people lost." She told him with a smile as she strolled down the path, looking around for any other movement working the forest.

Jonathan nodded listening to her explain the system, "Smart to put them up high," he said lightly. He kept moving silently off to one side staying slightly hidden in the bushes. "Have you seen any of your friends since you left?" he asked.
