Land of The Dead

Augustus tried to relax after they had left, but his wound itched and kept his mind racing. He sighed, and found himself wondering around the grounds. He smelled the scent of tea, after Ada had began to brew it. He sighed gently and made his way to the guest house

Once the tea kettle had started to whistle, Ada took it off the fire and then poured it into a cup and then set her tea in there, waiting for it to brew. She waited awhile before going to grab the kettle and accidentally burning herself. She cried out in pain, snatching her hand away from the kettle. The sudden movement caused the kettle to splash hot water all over the floor getting on her splashing up on her exposed legs as well. She winced again and looked down at her raw hand frowning.

Augustus heard her cry out. He made his way to the door faster. He opened the door, "Ada?" he called. He didn't want to intrude incase she didn't want him to see her.

Ada heard Augustus and said, "I'm over here." She looked around before seeing a bucket with water in it. She shakingly put her hand in it to cool it down. "I grabbed the kettle while it was hot and it splashed everywhere." She informed him. "It burned my hand the most." She admitted wincing at the cooling water.

Augustus nodded and made his way into the kitchen. "Oh that is no good," he said. He moved over to her, and smiled gently, "would you mind If I looked at it?" he asked

Ada sighed crouched down with her hand in the bucket. She looked up when he walked in blinking at his question. "I suppose so." She said taking it out and showing him. She didn't know if she felt comfortable showing him the light burns on her legs, though. There was no blood, but her skin was red and boiled.

Augustus smiled softly and looked at her hand, "ouch that looks sore," he said gently. He looked at her, "I do have something that should help, keep it in the water for now," he told her.

Ada nodded her head, "I forgot the kettle was hot. My mind's been somewhere else." She sighed before nodding her head. "Okay." She told him feeling slightly uncomfortable that he was seeing her in her nightgown. It wasn't proper. She bit down on her lip looking back at the water and slipping her hand back into it.

Augustus left the cottage for a moment, before returning with the leaf of a plant. He moved over to her, "This will help," he said crouching back down. He looked at her, "Once it cools down from the water, dab it dry lightly, then rub this sap onto it," he said lightly. "Its probably smart to apply some to your legs as well," he said gently. He raised back up, "what were you thinking about?" he asked trying to take her mind off the pain for a bit/

Ada looked up when he came back and took the leaf lightly from him nodding her head. She took her hand out of the water before dabbing it try with a hankerchief and then rubbed the sap on her hand and then her legs. She finished and stood up slowly. She found the first aid stuff and tried to tie her hand up, not wanting it to be left uncovered. Glancing up hearing his words, she said, "I was thinking about if the meeting went well, then just the village and if the council full of old men were going to listen." She sighed.

Augustus nodded gently, watching her closely, "well it went as expected," he said softly. He moved into the kitchen somewhat, "they listened, but ultimately probably missed the point entirely," he said

Ada nodded her head hearing his words watching him move into the kitchen. She took a seat lightly feeling like her legs would give out any minute. "It's quite possible." She replied with a slight shake of her head.

Augustus nodded, "they don't get, I just want to help," he said softly. He got comfortable in a seat, "so how are you feeling?" he asked
